tsylvester Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Worrilow, 29, provides experienced depth at the inside linebacker position, where the Ravens' top three players (Patrick Onwuasor, Chris Board and Kenny Young) have a combined 29 starts. Cut by the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Worrilow has started 52 career games in five seasons, playing for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons. He didn't play for the Eagles last season after tearing his ACL in an organized training activity in June, and he was sidelined in training camp this year with a swollen knee. While playing college football at Delaware in 2011, Worrilow made headlines when he donated peripheral blood stem cells to help a 23-year-old woman with leukemia. He had signed up for the school's bone-marrow program four months earlier.ESPN: Source - Ravens intend to sign LB Worrilow.https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27445540/source-ravens-intend-sign-lb-worrilow Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 They I think have some real concern about that position. Quote
tsylvester Posted August 24, 2019 Author Posted August 24, 2019 So far they are all not very good at pass coverage, not in man to man nor even in zone coverage, they rarely drop back deep enough or quick enough. They bote too hard on play action and get lost in traffic in running plays. Sure, they are quick and speedy helping them on late blitzes.... But... Not deep enough on players so this could just be a move to add depth at the position... Quote
oldno82 Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 I think it is a depth decision more than anything else. The question is, is he healthy enough to really contribute? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 They are taking a flier. If he is healthy if he can play decently he prob gets the spot. Quote
