The Assault On Trumps Dictatorship, With All It's Lies, Begins

And it's a good beginning. Michelle Obama and Sanders really hit the mark. Please rad their words.

I've been reading all that I can find and I'm feeling some hope. Some hope, that the consciousness of Americans can be raised. That citizens will wake up and "Take Back Our Flag" before it's too late.

We are witnessing the story of "The Kings New Clothes" unfolding right before our eyes. Will Americans, who see him as lavishly dressed as he sees himself and wants us to see him, wake up and see the real Trump "as naked as the day that he was born?"

Democracy is at stake. Our children's future is at stake. Beyond Covid 19, beyond the economy, beyond Black Lives Matter, beyond hate and racism, the Endgame of Global Warming looms over all life. This is the biggest crisis in American history that I am aware of and it's present...right here an now.

Like you, I wish these were happier times too. Somehow this seems fitting:

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

I, for the life of me, am in constant disbelief of Trump supporters.  I know people who will vote for him and can't fathom it.

Me too. It's beyond my understanding.

Everyday there is something surrounding Trump that points to a lack of moral character and principles.

Today, from the front page on USA Today for example...

Quote

This level of criminality surrounding a president is unparalleled. We have not seen its like in American history before (though perhaps Richard Nixon comes close).

And yet …

Bannon’s alleged criminality really is commonplace, cheap and tawdry.

There is a faint air of ludicrousness about him and the others in Trump’s criminal inner circle. In their hackneyed criminality and in their fealty to a con man, they are more pathetic and pitiable than they are evil and malevolent. They are a cliché, as much as they are a criminal gang. And their leader is revealed, more clearly every day, as nothing more than a hustler and a scam artist. Bannon is just the latest evidence of that sad reality..........https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/08/21/unprecedented-criminality-trump-inner-circle-steve-bannon-column/5620325002/

Here's the list....

Quote

And yet … what seems routine and common in the circles of corporate America is, in presidential circles, extraordinary. It is fair to say that the allegations of criminality against Trump’s inner circle are unprecedented in American history — and Bannon’s arrest is just the latest in a long line of criminal charges involving Trump’s confidants.

Trump Supreme Court goal: Slow walk the cases, hide secrets until the election is over

Bannon isn't even the first Trump campaign official to be charged with crimes. Campaign chairman Paul Manafort was convicted of tax fraud and bank fraud. Deputy campaign manager Rick Gatespleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about the campaign and then cooperated with them. Foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying about the campaign’s contacts with Russia.

Campaign adviser Michael Flynn, who was briefly Trump's national security adviser in the White House, also pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about his contacts with Russia (though he is now trying to withdraw his plea and the attorney general has moved to dismiss his case). Even informal Trump advisers have been caught in the web of criminality. His former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has admitted to lyingabout hush money payments he made to porn stars who had affairs with the president.

A cliché as much as a criminal gang

And longtime (now pardoned) Trump consigliere Roger Stone was convicted of lying to Congress and tampering with witnesses in order to conceal the nature of the Trump campaign’s connections to Russia. The new bipartisan report from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligenceconcludes that Stone's lies were likely offered, in part, to conceal Trump’s own knowledge of Russia’s interference.

How does America look the other way and pass this off as "no big deal?"

Or how about this!....

Quote

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump did something incredibly dangerous.

Asked by a reporter about QAnon, a conspiracy group that has been labeled a potential domestic terrorism threat by the FBI, Trump said this:
"Well, I don't know much about the movement other than I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate. But I don't know much about the movement. I have heard that it is gaining in popularity and from what I hear it's -- these are people that -- they watch the streets of Portland -- when they watch what happened in New York City in just the last six or seven months, but this was starting even four years ago when I came here. Almost four years, can you believe it?
"These are people that don't like seeing what's going on in places like Portland, and places like Chicago, and New York and other cities and states. And I've heard these are people that love our country and they just don't like seeing it."
The presidency is the most powerful office in the country -- and maybe in the world. The words of a president can move markets. The words of a president can change the course of an election. And the words of a president, in this case, can provide not just cover for but encouragement of a group that, again, has been designated as a potential domestic terrorism threat by none other than the FBI.
The President of the United States has now said that he thinks a group of violent conspiracy theorists are "people who love our country" and are a sort of antidote to the protests and violence in major cities in the country.
It's stunning -- even for Trump. And it's extremely dangerous because it emboldens people who have already shown a willingness to act on their wild conspiracy theories in violent ways. Extremely dangerous............https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/20/politics/donald-trump-qanon/index.html

He doesn't know much about the movement!? He's the President!

He said the same thing about White Supremacists.....he doesn't know much about them.

How could he not know about them? It's his job to be well informed about groups like this.

I'm not happy about having to vote for Biden but at least he had experts, congressman, ex-Presidents....credible public officials testifying for him and on the issues.

Trump's RNC Puppet show, designed to spin a fantasy reality, designed to twist the truth, could only find a nurse to speak on behalf of what a great job he is doing vs the virus. one, single nurse! And some Americans are buying it!

From Business Insider............ it's a very clear, sane and rational perception on what is actually the truth.

Quote

The RNC was pure propaganda designed to sanitize Trump's damning record on race, immigration, women, and the pandemic.

  • The 2020 RNC sought to sanitize Trump's record on an array of issues, going all-in to convince Americans he's not racist, xenophobic, and misogynistic.
  • The convention painted an alternate reality for Americans, particularly in terms of Trump's bungled response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The underlying message of the convention was fundamentally contradictory in that it pitched Trump as the solution to problems that arose or were exacerbated during his presidency.
  • During his speech on Thursday, Trump said his administration is focusing "on the science, the facts, and the data" to handle the pandemic. This couldn't be further from the truth.

The basic message of the convention was inherently contradictory: The US is a nation consumed by chaos and only Trump can fix it — even though he's been president for three and a half years.

Based on what we heard from the speakers at this year's RNC, everything positive in the US is because of Trump, and everything negative is not his responsibility and would only be exacerbated under former Vice President Joe Biden. ...........https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/the-rnc-was-pure-propaganda-designed-to-sanitize-trumps-damning-record-on-race-immigration-women-and-the-pandemic/ar-BB18rOPx?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U508DHP

"Can someone remind Trump that the 'mayhem' he’s talking about is happening during his own presidency?" the DNC War Room Twitter account posted.

Reaction also came from Democratic Party officials in swing states, including Nevada State Democratic Party Chair William McCurdy II. His statement on the president's remarks was titled "Tonight, Trump Embraced Racism."

"Ignorance is the theme of this Republican convention," McCurdy said. "The struggle of families to pay rent, to buy groceries, or get medical treatment didn’t happen. The 180,000 American families mourning the loss of a loved one don’t exist. The murder of innocent Black Americans and assassination of fellow Americans who stand up to protest injustice and systemic racism are irrelevant.".............https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/dems-slam-trump-convention-speech-as-campaign-enters-final-stages-embraced-racism/ar-BB18sQG1?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U508DHP

Please pen up your ER Code books so we can decode this message from Trump:

"Your vote will decide whether we protect law abiding Americans, or whether we give free rein to violent anarchists, agitators and criminals who threaten our citizens," Trump warned. "And this election will decide whether we will defend the American way of life, or whether we allow a radical movement to completely dismantle and destroy it."

If you use the codes on p. 73.....tumblr_nnj1wpsPGf1qg20oho1_500.jpg

you'll discover what he really is saying....

"Your vote will decide whether we protect law abiding Americans, or whether we give free rein to me." Trump warned. "And this election will decide whether we will defend the American way of life, or whether we allow my radical movement of megalomania and dictatorship to completely dismantle and destroy it."

Instead of talking about Global Warming and a clean energy plan at the RNC while wild fires rage in California and parts of Texas and Louisiana are wiped out by hurricanes, they chose to not mention it. Like it's not happening. Like Covid19. Things of the past.

Quote
Almost every other developed nation in the world understands the basic physics that the more they pump and burn, the more unpredictable life on Earth will become.
But watching the Republican National Convention, if you didn't know, you'd never know................https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/28/weather/rapid-fire-disasters-in-coronavirus-pandemic-weir-wxc/index.html

The long term costs for sitting on our ass will be staggering.  What we are experiencing now is simply a small taste of the future.\

Quote
"How much does the 2018 Camp Fire cost, just to fight? Just to put out the flames?" I asked Gov. Newsom after ferocious winds made the Camp Fire the most destructive wildfire in state history. "It is jaw-dropping -- the numbers -- and they continue to escalate," Newsom replied. "Just the debris removal is in multi, not billion, multi-billion-dollar expense."
The second and third biggest fires in state history are now burning at the same time and the windy season hasn't even begun. "Folks think, well, we can't afford to address climate change," Newsom says. "My gosh. The naiveté of that. Because the most expensive option is doing nothing.".........https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/28/weather/rapid-fire-disasters-in-coronavirus-pandemic-weir-wxc/index.html

Are these people unconscious? Are they in a state of deep denial?

They have to be. Otherwise they are evil and I don't believe that.

Fact: They way that you, I and all Americans have lived is a thing of the past. It's over. Like it or not the physical reality on Earth has changed for all forms of life......for good.

More severe and frequent Hurricanes, floods, wild fires, water shortages, food shortages, riots in general, migrations, more pandemics....in an ever faster and accelerated time frame.....are the new norm.

Very scary because some people believe him....

Quote

The snarling attorney Roy Marcus Cohn was the flesh-and-blood through-line connecting McCarthy to Trump. Cohn served as McCarthy’s ingenious and imperious protégé in the 1950s. Thirty years later, he became Trump’s bare-knuckled preceptor. An aging Cohn taught the fledgling Trump the transcendent lessons he had learned from his master, McCarthy — how to defame opponents and contrive grand conspiracies.

Trump shared even more with his mentor’s mentor. Both Trump and McCarthy were geniuses at seizing upon public fears and rifts, faking evidence to support their assertions, and claiming vindication when there was none.

Donald Trump's name-calling is an effective page from Joe McCarthy's bully playbook

Trump is borrowing from Low Blow Joe to dream up mocking handles for Biden and Harris. It worked in 2016, from 'Low Energy Jeb' to 'Crooked Hillary.'

Larry Tye
Opinion contributor

Sen. Kamala Harris is a fanatical socialist and former Vice President Joe Biden is a puppet of the radical left. She’s Phony Kamala. He’s Sleepy Joe — or, more graphically, Sleepy Creepy. That’s the branding that emerged from this week’s Republican National Convention and from President Donald Trump’s ongoing campaign to smear his Democratic rivals.

Sound familiar? It should because he’s been doing it for a long time. Remember “Crooked” Hillary Clinton, “Shifty” Adam Schiff, and “Pocahontas” (aka Sen. Elizabeth Warren)?

Nor is it anything new in American politics. If you know your history of Sen. Joe McCarthy and the Red Scare of the 1950s, you know it’s a tried and true strategy. Just as the mudslinging senator from Wisconsin sprayed a hose of Communist red on all he vilified, so the trash-talking president is painting his adversaries a treasonable blue. And the echoes don’t stop there: The Donald is borrowing from Low Blow Joe’s playbook to dream up mocking handles for every last one of his political enemies

Scattershot bile that destroys careers

The playbook has always been the key. It transformed Joe McCarthy from a crank to one of the most menacing men in modern civilization. Armed with a similar blueprint, Trump rose from sideshow to contender to commander in chief. Neither was sure of the formula in advance — bullies seldom are, but they can sense in their bones how to keep the pot simmering and know when they achieve a critical mass. Then suddenly and shockingly their scattershot bile is gaining traction and lacerating countless noncombatants.

Americans, or enough of them to matter, actually believed that McCarthy had the list he claimed of 205 Communists lurking at the State Department. And trust that Trump’s Mexican wall would make the United States safe. Was it simply through endless, mind-numbing repetition that these fictions became facts?

Calling out bigotry and bullying: Why Trump-era America needs Biden's campaign

Name-calling also is a trademark for the president much as it was for the senator. In McCarthy’s lexicon, Democratic Sen. William Benton was “Little Willie Benton, Connecticut’s mental midget.” Secretary of State Dean Acheson was “Red Dean,” while President Harry Truman was simply that “son of a bitch.” And Margaret Chase Smith, the Maine senator who with six fellow moderate Republicans called out their Wisconsin colleague, became “Snow White and the Six Dwarfs.” Would-be witticisms like those helped inspire Trump’s slurs of his foes, starting with his 2016 rivals

Faked evidence, public fears

Each railed against corrupt elites and crafted a handy scapegoat for America’s troubles — in McCarthy’s case, conniving Communists; in Trump’s, rapacious immigrants.

Election 2018 civility awards: Too often it paid off to play nasty like Donald Trump

The president’s defenders, like the senator’s, say the narcissistic bully we perceive in public masks a charming and faithful friend. Both were masterful at grabbing the spotlights of their day — Joe via newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, radio and TV; Donald on Twitter, reality TV and cable news, and in supermarket tabloids, and mass-market books. Each made his name a ubiquitous brand. Neither had a master plan other than accumulating and holding power. Both shocked the world and themselves by rising as fast and as far as they did.

But the real lesson that Trump should learn from McCarthy is this: The name the senator is best remembered for today is his own, which has become an "ism" that stands for reckless accusation, guilt by association, fear-mongering, and ad hominem attacks......................https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/08/28/trump-republican-convention-mccarthyesque-name-calling-column/3437597001/

I was really surprised. I thought a lot of the speeches and points made at the RNC were really strong.

Nah, just kidding....

I'm not happy that Biden is the only choice that I have but I will not rest, feel safe or have some hope for the future until Trump is sent packing.

At least Biden has an agenda and plans to address the critical issues facing this country and the world. Link below:

I hope more articles like this keep coming out. Eventually...I hope....people will wake up to the fact that they are being played.

I don't hate real conservative or liberals.   I just hate ppl who take positions to win and do self serving things.  Take the conservative columnist Will something.   He wears the glasses and lives baseball.   I don't agree with him on most things but he is an honest actor who has a belief system and sticks to it. He left the top bc he sees their conduct as not being conservative.
