Conservatives usually want fiscal responsibility and state rights/ limited federal government powers. I don't know many if any conservatives now. I used to disagree with conservatives because I don't care who people are sleeping with like a lot of conservatives did and I believe in equality (gender and racial) which a lot of conservatives did not seem to - but I didn't hate them. Now the cult and cult members we have now thriving on ignorance, hate, and cruelty? Yeah I'm pretty close to hating them. Quote
vmax Posted October 9, 2020 Author Posted October 9, 2020 (edited) That's what I thought when the fly landed on his head.....fly landing on shit. Quote r. Negin Hajizadeh, a pulmonary/critical care physician at Northwell Health, noted that the majority of Covid patients receiving dexamethasone are on mechanical ventilation and in a state of induced coma, so they do not exhibit any behavioral side effects. But, she said, large studies show that generally 28 to 30 percent of patients will exhibit mild to moderate psychiatric side effects like anxiety, insomnia, mania or delirium after receiving steroid treatments, and about 6 percent may develop psychosis. “When we prescribe steroids we warn our patients: ‘This may cause you to feel jittery, might cause you to feel irritable,’” Dr. Hajizadeh said. “We will tell family members, especially for our older patients, ‘This may cause insomnia, this may cause changes in eating habits and, in extreme cases, mania and impaired decision making.’”......https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-lashes-out-at-his-cabinet-with-calls-to-indict-political-rivals/ar-BB19Qpta?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U508DHP He's had all these symptoms for a very long time. I think he's in total meltdown right now. He knows this race is out of control and he is losing....bad. He's freaking. Quote Alex Conant, a Republican strategist and former aide to Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, said that the Trump campaign was entering a dangerous period, one when a campaign heading for a possible defeat can become treacherous. “The knives come out, the donors flee and the candidate throws embarrassing Hail Marys,” he said. “Most politicians can handle losing a race, but they really don’t want to be embarrassed. When a loss seems inevitable, people who want a future in politics start looking out for their own interests. People start looking over their shoulders.”.....https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-lashes-out-at-his-cabinet-with-calls-to-indict-political-rivals/ar-BB19Qpta?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U508DHP Edited October 9, 2020 by vmax Quote

vmax Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 (edited) I find myself paying extra attention to the polls....like watching the football scores on Sunday. The Polls are showing Trump circling the drain. We can't get over confident. We need to vote....vote him out by overwhelming, undisputable numbers. Edited October 20, 2020 by vmax Quote

vmax Posted October 20, 2020 Author Posted October 20, 2020 (edited) USA Today, for the first time ever, backs a candidate for President.... https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/opinion/todaysdebate/2020/10/20/elect-joe-biden-reject-donald-trump-editorials-debates/5919435002/ Quote Our View: In 2016, we broke tradition in urging you not to vote for Trump. Now we're making our first presidential endorsement. We hope it's our last. As vice president in the Obama administration, Biden played a central role in the last economic recovery and is equipped to handle another one. Even before the pandemic struck, Trump did no better than the Obama-Biden administration on job creation, the stock market and economic growth. (Remember his promise to pay off the national debt in eight years? It's now $27 trillion, up more than $7 trillion from four years ago.) Biden knows that the recovery process will require, first and foremost, a comprehensive national response to the COVID-19 crisis that has upended Americans’ lives and left large sectors of the economy reeling Quote Character and core values It's no secret that the Editorial Board disagrees with Trump not just on his approach to the coronavirus but also on fundamental issues, from health care and climate change to immigration and trade. Policy differences, however, are not the reason behind our first-ever presidential endorsement. Diverse views, even ones we think are wrongheaded, are a staple of American politics and something to celebrate. If this were a choice between two capable major party nominees who happened to have opposing ideas, we wouldn’t choose sides. Different voters have different concerns. But this is not a normal election, and these are not normal times. This year, character, competence and credibility are on the ballot. Given Trump’s refusal to guarantee a peaceful transfer of power if he loses, so, too, is the future of America's democracy. For nearly four decades, the Editorial Board has stood for certain core values: truth, accountability, civility in public discourse, opposition to racism, common-ground solutions to the nation’s problems, and steadfast support for First Amendment rights. These aren’t partisan issues, or at least they shouldn’t be. Donald Trump has trampled each of these principles, making more than 20,000 false or misleading statements, ducking responsibility for his actions, spewing streams of invective at his critics, trafficking in racial fearmongering, governing more as the leader of the red states than of the United States, and relentlessly attacking the free press. Everything about Biden’s nearly half-century political career suggests he would do a far better job of respecting these values. “We need to revive the spirit of bipartisanship in this country, the spirit of being able to work with one another,” the Democratic nominee said in a recent speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
