I'm beginning to get real excited with this 2021 Ravens roster. I think they can go to war with these guys.

“Just being out there with obviously Sammy [Watkins], Rashod [Bateman] and a couple of the other guys, the new young guys, those guys are balling out,” Andrews said. “The deep threat, the stretching the field, making plays, catching the ball — everyone is incredibly locked in. Just the whole energy around this program right now is awesome. Everyone is locked in. Everyone is moving on the same page and working toward the same goal. We’re trying to be the best team that we can be, and our pass game is looking really good, to be honest with you.”...Wherever the Ravens’ passing attack goes, tight end Mark Andrews can help carry it - Baltimore Sun

Josh Oliver, a tight end entering his third season out of San Jose State, seems to have a knack for getting open and has developed a rapport with all three quarterbacks on the roster. At 6 feet 5 and 245 pounds, the former third-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars runs good routes and his big body helps shield the ball away from defenders....Mike Preston’s Ravens observations on Mark Andrews, Justin Madubuike, tight end intrigue and more | COMMENTARY - Baltimore Sun

Quarterbacks showing touch

The Ravens quarterbacks delivered some nice touchdown passes over the middle in their red zone offense. That’s a good sign because now they are placing the ball where only the receiver can make a play, and it won’t be intercepted.

Jackson threw a dart across the middle to the back of the end zone to tight end Eric Tomlinson and Trace McSorley, who has always been good inside the red zone in practice, might have delivered the most touchdown passes. The best pass of the day was a long one down the left sideline from Tyler Huntley, who is battling McSorley for the backup position, to newly acquired receiver Devin Gray, who dropped it....:nono:......Mike Preston’s Ravens observations on Mark Andrews, Justin Madubuike, tight end intrigue and more | COMMENTARY - Baltimore Sun

More good news. The O line really needs Stanley...a 100% healthy Stanley.

Harbaugh anticipates Stanley will begin practicing at some point during training camp.

"He's on schedule is my understanding," Harbaugh said. "I hear good things about it. He says good things. He's been in the weight room. He's been running. I doubt if we'll start him off the very first practice in training camp. I probably won't do that, even if he's ready. But he'll be out there I would anticipate in training camp, as long as there are no setbacks, and should be ready to open the season for sure. We'll just kind of play that as it goes. He looks good though, he's on schedule." :gorave:News & Notes: Ronnie Stanley Is ‘On Schedule’ for Week 1 (baltimoreravens.com)

Not liking this.....

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw four interceptions on the first of two days of mandatory minicamp Tuesday and could have had two or three more passes picked off.

Entering his fourth season, it’s safe to conclude that Jackson is going to be what we’ve seen in his first three years. He is erratic, is inaccurate throwing outside the numbers and has problems throwing a good long ball, except when on the run...Mike Preston’s Ravens observations on Lamar Jackson, Odafe Oweh and the first day of minicamp | COMMENTARY - Baltimore Sun

However...I like his.....

Receivers showing their skills

Veteran wide receiver Sammy Watkins had a strong presence in practice when he caught a corner fade route in the end zone while tiptoeing along the sideline. He made the play against cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who was draped all over him.

Watkins also caught a long touchdown pass from Jackson, who stepped up in the pocket to avoid the rush and while running threw a perfect pass for the score.

As for rookie receiver Rashod Bateman, he makes a difference when he practices as opposed to being held out because of a minor injury.

The top pick out of the University of Minnesota has the ability to make explosive plays, and clearly there is a drop-off when he isn’t on the field. As a rookie, he’ll make mistakes and drop a pass or two, but so far he has already proved he can be a difference-maker.

:bow:Of all the receivers, Marquise Brown might have had the most productive day, with at least three touchdown passes. He was effective in the middle-of-the-field offense as well as inside the red zone. Usually, a beaten cornerback can make up a step or two on a receiver when he breaks stride to catch a long pass, but that doesn’t happen often in games or practices with Brown.:gorave:......Mike Preston’s Ravens observations on Lamar Jackson, Odafe Oweh and the first day of minicamp | COMMENTARY - Baltimore Sun

It's early for everybody to get in sync. They had a good day today....

1. Lamar Jackson had perhaps his best practice of the summer, especially early on. On the first play of 11-on-11 drills, Jackson dropped a gorgeous deep pass over Sammy Watkins' outside shoulder for a touchdown. Watkins and Marlon Humphrey were running shoulder-to-shoulder, but Watkins burst ahead at the last second to get enough separation and haul it in with his fingertips. Tough to say whether the throw or catch were prettier, but they were both as good as it gets. According to The Baltimore Sun's Jonas Shaffer's tabulations, Jackson was 21-for-27 in 11-on-11 action. Jackson did have one interception when a deep pass for Marquise "Hollywood" Brown fluttered on him and was picked off by Humphrey.

. While the quarterbacks struggled with interceptions on Tuesday, they kept the ball mostly out of the defense's hands Wednesday. Trace McSorley and Tyler Huntley both had some nice throws. McSorley had a nice long throw to undrafted wide receiver Binjimen Victor and Huntley connected with Miles Boykin for one of the top catches of the day when Boykin created separation at the last second and made a diving grab. Boykin also had a pretty back-shoulder catch later in practice....Practice Report: 10 Observations From Day 2 at Minicamp (baltimoreravens.com)

Another solid report on Lamar.....

No this started before Shaleen.  This started when they drated Love.  When Rodgers was on the one guys show and he said he won the MVP and ruined the packers plan you could tell he was planning on screwing them.  Also the issues with his family predate her by many yrs.

Na, he saw the drama with Wilson, Dak, all of the Brady love and felt left out. Then she comes along and tells him to get in touch with his feelings. Yes, he won MVP even with Love being drafted. They lost out on the Super Bowl because of a few reasons, none of them named Jorden Love; play calling, blocking, bad pass, not escaping the pocket when you had the chance.

This is all about his ego, nothing else. I honestly expect him to show up to camp and play out his contract.
