tsylvester Posted March 20, 2023 Share Posted March 20, 2023 Prior to the arrival of Roquan Smith, Patrick Queen was playing his way out of Bmore, I and most would say. But like a kid after a surgery snack, once Smith took over, so too did Queen. (Queen, who had a standout 2022 campaign with 117 tackles, nine for loss, five sacks, six pass breakups and two interception) Everyone noticed the change in his play, many pundits proclaiming the Ravens having the best inside backer duo in the league. But now the difficult decision to make, pick up his 5th year option,(by May 1st) he is still pretty cheap, counting roughly $2 mil. They could try to trade him, save that amount, maybe get a 3rd, possibly a 2nd, though unlikely. They could try to ink him to a deal, keep the dynamic duo in tact. There is always the choice to pick up his option for this year, then let him walk, hoping to get a 4th or maybe a 3rd in comp picks next year..
