papasmurfbell Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I am not liking the way the way the offense is running. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Punt to the Browns 10, Proche fumbles it, recovered by Duv! Poetic Pitch to Gus around the end for 1 Lamar can't find anyone, throws it away 3rd and 9 Lamar rolls, dances, can't find anyone, throws it away, holding on them, first down Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Hill up the middle, touchdown, but hold the phone, holding on Lindy, okay, sure, sure 1st and goal from the 13 Lamar keeps it around the end, spins off a tackle, gain of 2 False start, talk about shooting your self in the foot, Stanley 2nd and goal again, wait, refs stop the play again to rest the play clock Qb keeper up the middle for 6, 3rd and goal from the 10 Lamar scrambles, throws a pick in the endzone, Stanley hurt, flag down, defensive holding again, 1st and goal Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Well all of this mess has to have worn out their defense From the 5 Gus up the middle to the 2 2nd & goal Gus again up the middle touchdown! No flags 11:34 left 31-17 Quote

tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 That 10 yard scoring drive felt as if it lasted 10 minutes but only took 3:17 Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Tucker kicks it to the moon, no return Cinci caught looking ahead, down by 10 to the Texans Watson tries to run, sacked, Madebeke! Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Pass to Cooper, wide open for 25 Run to the left for 3 Playing very, very loose zone A 5 yard pass goes for 22 breaking tackles, carding players Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Deep pass to the endzone incomplete, but pi on Ya Sin Jones hurt on the play 1st and goal from the 10 One thing you can't do with a big load is allow a quick score Pass in the flat loses a yard, Hamilton on the tackle Watson escapes, dumps it down for a score 31-24 Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 In the redzone, you have to put your body between the receivers and the qb. Now Stanely is out and passing is going to be very hard Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Need a long, time consuming drive offense that ends in a score Run up the middle for 2 Let the big Falale wear them out Deflected, picked off, touchdown Quote
deeshopper Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Extra point attempt no good. Free nuggets from McDonald's? Or is it only on field goals? Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Oooo he missed the extra point! Quote

deeshopper Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Just now, tsylvester said: You can't make short passes when the pocket is squeezed like that, he gets lazy sometimes As I said last week, he's good for at least one interception a game. He has at least two today, I think. Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Gus up the middle for 2 Under 8 mins left Slant to Bateman, good coverage incomplete Complete to Flowers for 12, first down Quote
tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Forced to flee, tosses it away..tried to get it to Alghalor 6:43 Lamar keeps it, up the middle (should have handed it off) gain of 2 3rd and 8 Great, delay of game 3rd and 14 Jackson forced to run, gets 8, punt time we are doomed Why not run the ball? Why not run the ball, 5 mins left, punt is a touch back Know how much time is left? Just enough for them to win, not enough for the Ravens to answer Quote

tsylvester Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Recover the fumble, you win Cover people, you win. Make tackles, you win. The defense fell apart in the 2nd half, 13 for 13 for Watson who was on pace to have the worst completion % in NFL history? I love Todd's play calling normally, but to not run the ball in the 4th except on 1st down? When you lose your starting guard and tackle?? End around when you are driving successfully that loses 5 and had no chance against a very good defense. Yes, we can point to the pick 6, that ball was tipped (and likely should not have been thrown given where the dB was) or the other pick on a bad read by Lamar when the team was again driving. Or him holding the ball, taking sacks when if he had thrown on time when he hit his back foot, he likely gets a completion. Nonetheless, two 14 pt leads in the game, a 17 play 10 minute drive by Watson, who was what 9 of 28 or something before the drive? They couldn't play man, couldn't play zone, couldn't tackle, yes, this was on the defense... now a short week against a real offense with a real qb? Two AFC North loses in the same week possibly? varaven45 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Have to give the Browns credit. It was, as expected, a slobberknocker. The winning team had the fewest mistakes in the critical moments and executed in the last drive. They did and we didn’t. Don’t like how this one ended for us and not sure how they will respond on Thursday. Both teams should be hungry for a win and Cincy appears to be the more desperate team. This AFCN is going to be a dogfight !!! Quote
