tsylvester Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Just in time for Christmas, will they be naughty or nice? What do they have in their stockings? What goes up their chimney? Let us unwrap a few things, see how the Ravens can decorate for the Holiday. Offensively, the Rams have started to gell over the past few weeks, but was that due to the teams they were playing? Anywho in Hooville can toss a snowball far, can run when conditions are right. They currently sit 13th in the league in total offense, averaging 345 yards per game, 231 in the air, 114 on the ground, 22 pts per game. Stafford is completing 60% of his passes, 7.3 yards per, wirh 17 tds and 9 picks, he has been sacked 20 times. They are converting 40% on 3rd down, 60% on 4th. Defensively, they are middle of the snow pack, 16th, allowing 330 total yards per game, 219 passing, 111 yards on the ground. They are allowing 21 pts per game. Teams are converting 3rd downs at a 40% clip against this group, 61 % on 4th down. Yes, the Ravens have their work cut out for them, coming off an early winter slumber, they should be well rested and ready to take the fight to the Rams, prevent them from being the grinch who stole, oh, you get it. Here is to hoping we are all merry and bright when this is over. Ho-Ho-Ho! 1 Quote
oldno82 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Well you know what the Grinch did in the end? He brought all the presents back to Hooville. I take that to mean they'll cough up the game to us in the second half. Course. the wind and rain may have something to do with this game too. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 6, 2023 Author Posted December 6, 2023 Yes, the weather is going to be frightful, the kind Lamar does not find delightful. But since we are playing at home, let us hope he put on a show. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Just saw where Jackson missed practice Thursday. Yahoo Sports says due to illness. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 8, 2023 Author Posted December 8, 2023 He ate spicy food again, that IBS has to be taken seriously...... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 What is interesting is how all these coaches we have coming are all off the same tree. They will keep each other in the loop on how to beat us. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 8, 2023 Author Posted December 8, 2023 Man, the close we get, the worse the weather looks. Calling for down pours for most, if not all of the game. Ball security is really going to play a roll in this game, hand offs, carrying the ball, catching it, even punts will be tricky to catch. Quote
varaven45 Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Could be a zany game - maybe last man (team) standing wins! 1 Quote
oldno82 Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Probably best to avoid the Lamar to Hill handoffs this game! Quote
tsylvester Posted December 8, 2023 Author Posted December 8, 2023 Lamar took some Tums, full participant at practice today, full of joy & enthusiasm. They got him some duck arm floats for the game Sunday Quote
oldno82 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Just as long as those floats help when doing the RPOs and RROs with the backs. I saw where the Steelers coughed up another 'easy' win. Quote
varaven45 Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Oldno, yes, saw the Steelers game as well and their underachieving effort and the Pats rose to the occasion. Hey, that’s todays NFL. Unlike that game, the Rams are playing extremely well, have a terrific group of receivers and a Super Bowl winning QB. in order for us to win, we will play at the top of our game - similar to effort vs the Lions and Seahawks. If we do that, we can be successful tomorrow. Less than that, Rams could pull out a victory. Which Ravens team shows up ? I’m interested and excited to watch- hopefully the good guys show up and get the W Quote

Weather will complicate matters, though to whose advantage is hard to say. Might be a nail biter. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 2 hands on the ball, don't fight for extra yards, the water will soften the fall, so hang onto the ball at all costs Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Boo, hiss, Fox has the game.. oy Quote
oldno82 Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Yeah we have to suffer with Fox since it's an away game for an NFC team. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Mistake #1, returning the kick from 6 yards deep in the endzone. Special teams once again make a mistake Nice run by Gus off the left side from their own 15, for 3 yards Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Nice swing pass to Mitchel who gets to top speed quickly for 9 Naked boot, pass to Likely for a catch & run for 7 Mitchel to the right gets 1, 3rd and 2 Gus up the middle looked good but stopped short 4th and a long 1. Good punt by Stout to the Rams 20, excellent coverage, 4 yard at best, return Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Run off the right guard gets 5 Run off the left guard, gets 10 He bounces to the right for a gain of 4 Another big gain off the right guard, nice cut back for 10 Gain of 3 End around gets 8 more Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 All runs so far, time to step up defense, don't get lulled Another run off the right, gain of 3, plus 15 for a face mask Run up the middle again, runs over Williams, gain of 12 Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 First pass was rushed, incomplete, 2nd and goal from the 10 Pass again, too far into the corner, incomplete good coverage by Hamilton Blitz forces a throw away. Thankfully they stopped running, settle for 3, 27 yard attempt is good, 3-0 Rams, 5:35 left in the 1st quarter Quote

I recently heard CBS might be out of the NFL bidding. They dont have the cash for the rights. I just dont know who would grab the rights for the AFC. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Well, the vaunted run defense was no where to be found, atheist the pass coverage in the redzone was solid. Now can the offense keep their 2nd drive alive... Quote

tsylvester Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Kick off is a touchback Lamar plenty of time, Flowers late, incomplete had Bateman open deep All day again, flips one to Obj who makes a great adjustment to the poorly thrown pass for 15 Quote
