vmax
I don't know about this... “I am a defensive football player, so I only understand defense,” Suggs said. “What I do know is that [offensive coordinator] Cam [Cameron] is working me in on offense, getting some fullback – a little something to just try to get the ball in my hands. Like King James [the nickname for Miami Heat forward LeBron James], you get the ball in my hands, good things happen – with the exception of the [NBA] Finals. It’s cool. We’re working on something.” During his weekly briefing Thursday, Cameron confirmed that there is what is being called the Suggs package. “Was his idea,” Cameron said. “He’s not bashful. I guess he got tired of asking to be a tight end, so we’ll stick him in there at fullback.” Cameron was then asked what Suggs has shown him in his time at fullback. “The same thing he’s shown me running back interceptions couple years ago,” Cameron said. “… Great player." http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-suggs-to-get-reps-on-offense-20110929,0,750480.story
OutsideRzAcE
Yeah that's dumb. Take out your all pro fullback to risk injury to your stud linebacker
Guest BallTMore
Yeah... Of course if he scores it will be one of the greatest things ever, but I wouldn't risk it. It's bad enough we have Ngata running out routes.

reddog271
Yeah that's dumb. Take out your all pro fullback to risk injury to your stud linebacker don't they risk injury on every play? it's football.
yagersports
don't they risk injury on every play? it's football. I was thinking the same thing, I rather enjoy that the coaches are being creative. Isn't that what everyone on this board was so very upset about? Lack of creativity by Cam and Mattison? It seems Pagano is being far more creative this year. I like where Cam is going, it's telling me that he's adapting and not so "my way or the highway" as he's been in years past. He's starting to endear himself to the players. Even if he never uses it, it's building team chemistry and dynamics.
oldno82
This is stupid. Just keep Suggs where he's at. We've got a fullback.
OutsideRzAcE
don't they risk injury on every play? it's football. I would think the chances are exponentially greater when you are playing out of position. See Ngata last year.

Why would you replace him with one of your top defensive players. What exactly can Suggs bring to the fullback position that Leech can't? 83eh01
Isn't this suppose to be an element of surprise? Why was it blurted out?
cravnravn
Isn't this suppose to be an element of surprise? Why was it blurted out? Twitter, and Sugg's big yap.. Let him get hurt playing O, we fry Cam Cameron enough now, could you imagine if Sizz got injured? Plus Leach is better than T-Sizz.

yagersports
I don't understand the negativity. This fun, plain amd simple, maybe we never use it, but other teams don't know that. Also, I don't think Leech is better than Suggs "with the ball in his hands". I have no doubt that Leech is a better blocker.
