tsylvester Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Here we go, another divisional rival game, one team on the rise, the other falling faster than a turkey this time of year. Winston will get the start for the Browns after Watson tore his Achilles and is lost for at least the rest of this season. While the Browns have been down, they still have a very good defense and some weapons on offense. Both sides of the ball could give the Ravens trouble. This has all of the makings of a trap game. These two teams know each other, the one who stays focussed, determined, disciplined, will win the game. On paper the Ravens should win this one handedly, but the game is played on grass. The theme for the Ravens this year is stack. Stack plays, stack games, build for the future. Baltimore is riding a 5 game win streak, will it end or become 6? Who ya got? Quote
tsylvester Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 Welp, it is not just a qb change for the Browns Quote Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns are also making a change within their coaching hierarchy as well as offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey will take over play-calling duties from head coach Kevin Stefanski, who’s assumed that role since taking over as head coach in 2020 The Browns are the worst offensive team statistically in the NFL this season, ranking 32nd in total offense (253.9 yards per game), 30th in passing offense (159.6 yards per game) and scoring offense (15.6 points per game), and 29th in rushing offense (94.3 yards per game) Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I expect valuable assets to be traded soon. So the ravens go up by 10 fast and they start shutting guys down. Quote
oldno82 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Winston's not great but he's better than their #2 and maybe even #1. That's still not saying much. Chubb will be their best weapon but I bet Winston makes a real effort to show he can be a #1 somewhere too. Chubb and their defense and the fact that they're playing at home does make this a potential trap if the Ravens get too cocky. Still I think we'll win it as long as we stay focussed on all that we want to achieve this year...a Super Bowl. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Chubb will be traded too. Run him enough to show he can go. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 Chub has killed this defense on outside runs, for years. Yes, the same play Henry has killed teams on this year. Will this be the year the defense finally holds the edge and shuts that play down? Will Garret shut down the Henry sweep? Quote
tsylvester Posted October 24 Author Posted October 24 I hope the 2ndary has been working overtime on the jugs machine. Winston will make a few bone headed throws, they better catch them... Quote
tsylvester Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 Injury reports Browns RB Jerome Ford - Hamstring - Out S Ronnie Hickman - Ankle - Out LB Jordan Hicks - Elbow, triceps - Out OL Wyatt Teller - Knee - Questionable OT Jedrick Wills - Knee - Out Ravens RB Rahseen Ali - Ankle - Out CB Jalyn Armour-Davis - Hamstring - Questionable WR Zay Flowers - Ankle - Questionable CB Marlon Humphrey - Knee - Doubtful DT Travis Jones - Ankle - Questionable RB Keaton Mitchell - Knee - Out CB TJ Tampa - Ankle - Out CB Nate Wiggins - Shoulder - Questionable Quote
oldno82 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 If Winston can keep his INT machine off he could be a problem for our dysfunctional secondary. Is Chubb really fully recovered from his injury? If he is, and if the Cleveland O-line plays decently, he could also be a problem. But even with all that, it's hard seeing the Ravens losing this one. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 Browns are down at least 1 starting tackle, possibly a guard as well. Yes, Chubb is expected to play but Ford, another tough runner is out, thankfully. With Humph out and Wiggs hurting, I know Maulet is expected back but yes, this could be a tricky game Quote
tsylvester Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 Wiggs is out, will not travel with the team, per Espn Edit to add, reportedly he could play if he flies to the game in time. What, did he miss the plane? The bus Quote

tsylvester Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 Rosegarden is going to be tested by Garrett, Smith. Stanley is playing great, healthy, this could be his biggest test yet. No matter how they have to win, just win.. College ball is nutz, Indiana still undefeated, 8-0, what? Arkansas put up 678 yards, their 3rd time this year putting up over 600 yards on offense... LSU in total command, even chasing the starting qb for A& M out of the game for a running qb who threw 2 passes. Then their qb melts down and throws picks, bad picks. A&M comes back and wins Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 27 Posted October 27 The ncaa is total chaos this yr. Good time for it with 12 teams in now. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 Too many players running for the money going to other teams. The depth of teams has been depleted. I still think the bottom of the 12 teams will get blown out by the top teams. Of all the years, this may be a qb like Will Howard will win it all. He is not a good qb, but has the weapons better than most teams Quote
tsylvester Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 It's a beautiful day for a Brownie whoop'n Quote
