tsylvester Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 Punt dies at the 4 yard line. Mistakes, still making them. Nof penalties, so far not tuenovers, though they have tried, but misssed kicks, missed throws, missed catches and missed fielding punts 14-12, defense is playing great, dont waste it! Quote
tsylvester Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 4th quarter Henry up the middle for 3 Again up the middle for 5 Bateman out with a knee injury 3rd and 2 Rush gets to Lamsr but he manages to get it to Henry who rumbles for 8, flag down, holding on them Quote
tsylvester Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 1st down eithwr way Play fske, he lofts one to Andrews for 15 Jeepers, deep drop, tries to foece one in to Flowers who was tripple coverage, almosf.picked Again, lofts one to Likely who was out of bounds 3rd and 10 Dumps it down to Hill for 5 Punt time Had he waited, he had Wallace xrossing in the middle for a 1st down, Flowers was also open False start Stout kicks a line drive to their 20, returned to their 30 Quote
tsylvester Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 Lamar is looking at the rush, not throwing on time. He is taking too deep of drops which actually make it harder to pass protect for him Quote
tsylvester Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 11;20 Barkley up the middle for 4 Pass over the middle to Barkely for 3, flag down, Simpson was holding Brokwn play gets 3 Forced to throw it away, should be grounding but isnt 3rd and 7 Godsard beats Stephens for a 1st down Barkely gets free up the middle for 14 8 mins Hurts keeps it up the middle for 12 Game over Quote
tsylvester Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 As I sais, Barkley up the middle for 25 yards and a touchdown This defense is worn out Quote
tsylvester Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 4th and 8 throws to the wrong man open in the middle amd it is almost picked Plays were there to be made and he did not make them So much for incredible record against rhe NFC, still very good, was bound to lose. A very long over due bye week Quote
deeshopper Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Ravens have at least two more losses in their future. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted December 2 Posted December 2 SO much for my Eagles haven't played any real teams theory, but we SHOULD have won with a score of 26. Tucker's demise sucks... Quote
tsylvester Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 No surprise I am sure, but there is an issue with Dionte Johnson, Harbs will "comment" on it later... Quote
oldno82 Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Tucker just scares me now...whenever he goes to kick a FG, I find myself thinking 'don't miss it' which never happened before this year. He's got to be in a funk about it as well and that just creates a vicious cycle. Hard to believe Dionte Johnson didn't get a chance in this game with Bateman out. I guess he's in Harbs' doghouse for some reason that we'll never know. Quote

If puts pressure on everyone knowing that they have to stop the pther team from wven getting 3 or havinf fo get 7 because the field goal team stinks Weve been here before, after Stover, before good Tucker Who do you change him with? I would draft completion next spring. Quote

Tucker's demise sucks... The Ravens beat them in every aspect, more rushing yards, passing yards, better on 3rd down, only 4.penalties, but the most important stat they lost was points. Man, if we step back and look, there is a glimmer that says this team is close to being the team, offense, defense, special teams, that destroyed the Bills. Can they? Dunno, it should be fun to watch... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 2 Posted December 2 They will only ever be close. The last key part is motivation/leadership. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 This past week end has shown us that no team stands out as the best, from week to week. KC has trouble scoring even with a Hall of Fame qb, te, and wr, their defense is good, but lacks depth and wears down. The Bills, sure, better than week 3, but still, that much better than 35-10? Detroit, now there is a team, right? Goff threw five picks in one game, they lost another defender for the season on Thanksgiving. Sure, the Ravens pass defense looks better with the new safety rotation, but then they also have not faced any passing attacks like that of the Bengals since they switched. Each game is a game in & of its self. Build on it, take what works. As the players have been saying all year, prepare for the playoffs with how each game is played. So maybe, just maybe... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 2 Posted December 2 There are no dregs in the playoffs. We will fall there. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted December 2 Posted December 2 I'm not saying Harbs is a bad coach, but this supposed doghouse bullshit needs to end now. A GREAT coach would push aside differences and find the commonality of being on a team AND winning. You think Pickens would sniff the field under Harbaugh? Doubtful... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 2 Posted December 2 But his doghouse is more important than rings. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 2 Posted December 2 A close loss like we just experienced magnifies all aspects of the weaknesses of a team and every team has a good share of weaknesses this year, Eagles included. It's a killer that Tucker is having problems right now, sure, but we can blame something on almost everybody. Lamar is great in my book, but he took a 14 yard sack on a 3rd down play that put the team out of Tucker's range. Agolar dropped 2 passes though granted one was a tough one but damn it was catchable. Penalties as usual hurt us more than Philly after the Eagles got over their first quarter lack of discipline. We have problems with penalties, dumb ones, every game. I think this team can still win the AFC North. The rest of the schedule is not impossible for us and the Steelers still have to play us here and the Eagles as well. As Lamar said, we have got to take care of ourselves first and don't worry about the Steelers. Each game has to stand on its own for the next 4 games. It's an old cliche but we have got to focus on one game at a time. The bye week came late this year but still gives the coaches a chance to do some self-scouting and the players a chance to rest their bodies before we play, I believe, 3 games in 10 days. And, maybe, Tucker consults with a sports psychologist to get his frame of mind straightened out. Quote
tsylvester Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 I can see 4 more regular season wins At this point, just get/be healthy and win by any means Quote

While I agree, especially when it comes to Cleveland playing guard, Billy B did bench a once super bowl hero for the following super bowl, as to why we still do not know. But Johnson, back to our team, has had issues at every stop. Jackson was not playing well, nor was Williams, so what is a coach to do? Quote
