Rams at Ravens

Oh things do not look good for the Ravens, at 1-4, their backs are not just against the wall, they are inside the wall with little chance of fighting back. The bye week could not come soon enough, but even then, they face the likelihood of being 1-5 when it arrives.

Since 1970 only 16 teams made rhe playoffs after starting 1-4, that number dwindled if a team goes 1-5.

Injuries of course play a small roll, missing a sure bet hall of fame at quarterback is the least of their concerns. As many as four starters could still be out on the defense, a defense that even with those starters was shredded on the ground and in the air. In short, this team on both sides of the ball have not come together, played smoothly much if at any time so far this season.

The Rams may have a long trip for an early game that usually favors the East Coast team. But they are formidable and that advantage may not make enough of a difference.

I fortunately won't be able to watch this game live this week. I'll probably DVR it and look at it later in the week. How much I look at it will depend on what kind of effort the team puts forth. I do expect an easy Rams win. 

Hard to believe we were expecting a Super Bowl run just 5 weeks ago. At least I was.

I tell ya, they need to simplify Green's job, just let him get after the quarterback. Enough of stunts, of dropping into coverage. Let's see if he is a true pass rusher at this level.

Well here we go. I find if funny, my favorite team in college ball, Georgia Bulldogs, and in the pros, Ravens, used to be known as great defensive teams with punishing running games. This year, neither team can stop a highschool jv team nor run on one of them
