GrubberRaven Posted Wednesday at 09:29 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:29 PM Things are heating up about Minter, but what I don't like hearing is that Kingsbury could be the OC, which pisses me off. Quote
tsylvester Posted Wednesday at 11:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:43 PM Why so glum on Kingsbury? Excellent oc, great eye for talent at wide out, which this org has lacked since the Jackson, Alexander days Quote

He has an edge we have been missing. 4 hours ago, GrubberRaven said: Things are heating up about Minter, but what I don't like hearing is that Kingsbury could be the OC, which pisses me off. It makes perfect sense. Minter has no power edc and sashi have it and minter will be at attn at their heel. I said they are fixing the deck. Quote
tsylvester Posted yesterday at 11:25 AM Posted yesterday at 11:25 AM With Buffal and Pit, to some extent, Minter can get what he wants as far as control over the team. Three orgs that have a history of winning and loyal to their coaches. We are not talking about him only having to pick between losing franchises like the Clevelands of the league Quote
GrubberRaven Posted yesterday at 12:21 PM Posted yesterday at 12:21 PM I don't see how Minter and Macdonald are all that different. Pretty sure McDermott didn't have all that much power as he was fired Quote
papasmurfbell Posted yesterday at 02:55 PM Posted yesterday at 02:55 PM I don’t want a guy what has been in the harbs nepo history. I want an outside guy who brings new ideas to the table. Industry voices say minter is a lock here. sean should have been fired a while ago. I’m not sure how the gm in buf got a promotion. Quote

tsylvester Posted yesterday at 07:26 PM Posted yesterday at 07:26 PM And Flores signed a new deal with the Vikes. Maybe Minter has decided to stay with the Chargers Quote
tsylvester Posted yesterday at 10:12 PM Posted yesterday at 10:12 PM From sports Illustrated According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has a preferred candidate in mind to run the Ravens offense: Kliff Kingsbury. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti has said Jackson will have a say in the team’s next hire, and per Russini, Jackson and his teammates want Kingsbury in that role. Quote

I'm glad we didn't get Kubiak due to him sounding pretty docile. I still kind of wanted the DC from the Jags, but only because he was a motivator. Flores is blackballed for sure...Maybe he'll stay with MN and become their coach if they have another down year. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I do not think Eric and sashi will allow him to be successful. I don’t think he will get to assemble his staff. Quote

He was super young. Also his d hadn’t been a killer long. But in hindsight he was so very ready.i wish we had kept him. 5 minutes ago, GrubberRaven said: Source? i heard JLC say it. A lot of people claimed Minter, but where did you hear Decosta and Sashi would control him? Quote
tsylvester Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago What Grub said, honestly, JLC has been wrong more than weather forecasters. How he still has a job in radio is beyond me. As for you being right papa, Bravo, but when other fans are right and you are wrong, old buddy, you don't give them props either. In the end, we are fans, know nothing compared to coaches or execs on a team no matter how long we spend on the net. 2 Quote
GrubberRaven Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Due to where I live, I rarely listen to the fan anymore, but I was in Baltimore yesterday and on the way home, I had a listen to the afternoon show. JLC was being torn apart by the fans calling in. It was glorious. Quote

I call bs on his revisionist history on harbs. I call bs on him saying we have to give Lamar a new deal. I don’t agree with him philosophically. But on these issues I heard him call it. 49 minutes ago, tsylvester said: What Grub said, honestly, JLC has been wrong more than weather forecasters. How he still has a job in radio is beyond me. How true. Best not to get too full of ourselves because of our limited knowledge. For the most part, all we can really do is speculate, which is 'fun' but not always factual. Now that a choice has been made, let's give Minter at least a year to get the team on his wavelength. I wanted Kubiak or Denver's DC but that didn't happen. I think Minter has just as much potential as either of them. 1 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Ok. Here is the question looking at our div. What is the min allowable production for 26? I say win the div. The d is a top third unit. Finally a respectable effort in the playoffs. If that doesn’t happen yr 1 is a failure. Let’s see how much of the staff stays. It should be a damn near house cleaning but I don’t expect that. 21 hours ago, tsylvester said: From sports Illustrated According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has a preferred candidate in mind to run the Ravens offense: Kliff Kingsbury.
