If Kaydwn McDaniel, big phatty, is there in the 2nd, I hope they grab him.

Cashius Howard, edge, is another good 2nd round pick

In the 3rd, I think it no secret I want them to get Serratt, or Bernard, for the tough big body wide out with great hands and run after the catch

I like those picks but I'm disturbed by how many experts and talking heads have us picking a CB and a S in rounds 2&3. I think that's too high this year because of other higher priority needs.

Papa's right too...somewhere we have to draft a Center...if not today then when? Might be a good opportunity to package some of our Day 3 picks to get an extra pick in the 3rd round. Of course, that requires a willing dance partner.

Most have the Ravens taking McCoy, Tennessee corner. Likely the best corner in the draft, not just the best left. However, he blew his knee out, which has teams worried about his future, yeah, Max Crosby type worry.

Safety is not needed, Ravens have plenty and they can always find one later or even undrafted to groom.

Center is an option, but, none of them is starter material, maybe a year or two away if at all. So why chose one in either rounds 2 or 3?

Defensive tackle yes, edge, maybe even middle backer, but definitely wide receiver, there are several who are good enough to start in these next 2 rounds

I dunno...Young's  an edge setter more than a pass rusher, though we do have Green and Hendrickson for that. So does Young spell either end during running packages?

And Lane...nice highlight film but consensus says he was a stretch for round 3. Sarrrat was still available when he was picked.

Wow, big body, decent speed, great hands, but he struggles with press man. Quite a reach it seems.

Young is Brent Urban part 2, with a little more upside. Very good against the run, something this team has lacked on the edge for some time.  Yes, a rotational guy who I am sure Minter will move around the line.

I don't know why they reached for Lane when there were other higher rated WRs still available. Maybe they were dazzled by his size.

Well, this team has a long history of drafting big receivers who never pan out. Clarence Moore, one of my favs, just never could play in games the way he did in practice. Just as one example.

One of the old members here, the late great socdolager & I got to interview him one summer.

As for Lane, he and a couple of the new wr coaches have a connection, so my guess is that is why him.

Per Espn

Hibner tested well at the combine, and he is a natural route runner with fluidity. At the top of his routes, he has quickness to get out and separate. He also uses his speed to put stress on linebackers who try to play tight coverage vertically. Hibner has shown the ability to make a difficult catch and pick up some chunk yards after. He displays good field awareness and awareness along the boundary. Hibner is aggressive when engaging as a run blocker, using good pad level and strength at the point of attack. He is also effective timing blocks at the second level or in space. Hibner profiles as a versatile tight end who can line up in different spots and be a downfield option in the passing game. -- Scouts Inc.

3 picks in the 5th round, really expected them to use one or two to trade up in earlier rounds.. We shall see where they go here, still need a phatty and a center for depth if anything

The Sarrat pick blew me away as I thought we had missed out on him in round 3, so I'm stoked at being able to draft him in the 4th.

I don't know anything about Hibner and as far as I can tell he was not a top 10 TE in The Beast.

Adam Randle, rb, Clemson, odd

Randall permanently made the switch from wide receiver to the backfield in 2025. He is a long strider with an upright running style, moving downhill with aggression. When he keeps a low center of gravity, he can be hard to bring down at the point of contact. Of course, Randall's experience as a receiver makes him a very good threat as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Though he is still developing his skills as a running back, he possesses upside with his physical tools. -- Scouts Inc.

So between Serratt, Lane and Tez, they have completed reshaping the wide receiver room, 3 big bodies, one of them lightning, one fast and one a great slot guy with tremendous hands

Weird draft, bult I don't watch enough college ball to know what's good or not.  That G and DE we took in one and two look great though.

I am pretty stoked about the new coaching philosophy coming in.  I think it will make a world of difference.

The lack of a drafted center is concerning unless we have confidence in Bullock (???)
