deeshopper Posted yesterday at 08:39 PM Posted yesterday at 08:39 PM Thank goodness there wasn't enough time. They really tried to start losing again! 1 Quote
tsylvester Posted yesterday at 08:43 PM Author Posted yesterday at 08:43 PM Post game- The worst part of the schedule to lose Lamar, likely a high ankle sprain.... that is a couple to a few weeks The officiating was horrendous, time and time again we had multiple rushers appear to be free to get to Ward yet some how, they froze in place and could not get to him. Either he had a personal force field or they were being held back and the 2, not 1 but 2 officials behind the offense didnt see 1 holding offense? Bull hockey There is a reason he kept pulling the ball down and fleeing the pocket: because he saw multiple defenders free up about to get to him. Numerous penalties of the field position changing variety called on the Ravens. Most were very iffy at best. 13 for 131 against the Ravens only 5 for 32 against the Titans yeah, something was rotten in Denmark Loops 65 yarder was great, but that easy missed 43 yarder could have cost the team the game. Missed opportunities Penalties 2 of the three that go into losing a big lead, blowing a double digit lead in the 4th 3, maybe 4 times in the 3rd and 4th quarter this offense drove to the 50 or further and didnt score. Why? Penalties were some of it but play calling was most of it. I get that Huntley was in, but come on. In the end a win is a win and you can't leave it up to the officials nor can we expect a place kicker to be perfect. Qbs throw picks, miss open wrs. Wrs drop passes, run the wrong routes. Linemen miss blocks and false start/hold Defense was great, most of the game. Solid tackling, decent coverage, some break downs, great pressure from the front 4. But only 1 sack, when they needed to keep up good coverage at the end, they broke coverage and then, could not tackle. Quote
oldno82 Posted yesterday at 09:45 PM Posted yesterday at 09:45 PM The Ravens would have plastered them, penalties and all, if Lamar had stayed healthy. We really caught the bad break there. If he's out for more than a game, we're hurting. Quote
tsylvester Posted yesterday at 10:22 PM Author Posted yesterday at 10:22 PM He really was incredible. That burst on the long run was long over due and surely missed. Shame about the weak holding call, refs trying to keep the game close... Quote
oldno82 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Somewhere I read Lamar will be day-to-day. Can Huntley beat the Falcons? Quote
tsylvester Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago Week to week I read, but the MRI is today, ao we should hear more later on today. The Falcons are bad, but will this defense play a full game? Quote
tsylvester Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago The Falcons game might just be the game Nano gets to start. The Minter seemed to leave the door open when discussing Huntley's performance. Praised him for keeping the offense moving but also said: they would evaluate. Yes, great clock control, but no points, mostly because Huntley can't throw more than 10 yards... Quote

The defense needs to play better and looks like they lack an identity. They're not playing up to their talent level. Minter has to give them a kick in the ass. Quote
tsylvester Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago The D is playing great for half a game right now. The sacks will come. As I said earlier, I found it quite odd that 3 of the four pass rushers who got between the linemen and the quarterback could not then disengage and get to Ward. It's not as if he has the speed and quickness of Lamar. I believe they were being held. Why not called? The score. I saw multiple fouls on the Titans that did not get called, not just on defense but when the Ravens were on offense. A few times their d line was holding the Ravens offensive linemen. Special teams, blocks in the back that went uncalled.... Even some of the penalties called on the Ravens were bogus, iffy at best. Again, why? The score. Call those penalties, hold those flags snd the game was well over before half. The NFL and Networks hate blowouts. They got great pressure on Ward with just four. You can see the 4 rushers getting better each game. And this past game was without Trey. The 2ndary, good solid coverage for a half, maybe 2, some of that lead to the pressures the front four was able to create. So I think they are rounding into form, it just needs a little more time. They dont have much more given the schedule after the Falcons game Quote
tsylvester Posted just now Author Posted just now After MRI team "unsure if Lamar will play next Sunday night" This can only be good news, right? I mean, if there was damage or need for surgery, they would have stated so, yes? So maybe only 1 game Quote
