tsylvester Posted Saturday at 10:43 PM Author Posted Saturday at 10:43 PM Some great college games today, quite enjoyable. One thing I will add, I am not that impressed with Manning. Sure, rocket for an arm but not very accurate. Several qbs Ive seen the oast 2 years who are better than he, in college. Watched a game turn in a goal line stand. The very next play, a 97 yard touchdown run. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 10:39 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:39 PM Man, that Giants vs Commandos game was an exercise in futility Quote
deeshopper Posted Monday at 12:11 AM Posted Monday at 12:11 AM I’ll try to keep you company tonight, Tim! 1 Quote
tsylvester Posted Monday at 12:33 AM Author Posted Monday at 12:33 AM I'm going to bed, watch the recording in the am So far, nice drive to open the game, terrible play calls at the goal line followed by Huntley missing a wide open Flowers in the corner, as he tossed a high hard, wide pass to Andrews who had position 3-0 is nice but me thinks they will need more of the 7 variety Quote
deeshopper Posted Monday at 12:38 AM Posted Monday at 12:38 AM Bummer they couldn’t convert. Hopefully the offense will score on this second possession. Quote
deeshopper Posted Monday at 12:42 AM Posted Monday at 12:42 AM You’ve gotta be freaking kidding me. Fumble recovered for a touchdown. Ugh. Quote
deeshopper Posted Monday at 12:53 AM Posted Monday at 12:53 AM Well I see the offense is going to suck tonight. Quote
deeshopper Posted Monday at 01:27 AM Posted Monday at 01:27 AM Now the defense wants to follow in the offense’s direction. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Monday at 04:03 AM Posted Monday at 04:03 AM They played much better than I thought they would. Quote
oldno82 Posted Monday at 04:54 AM Posted Monday at 04:54 AM Same here. The Ravens came out breathing fire and playing fast. We had our ups and downs but got more effective as we wore the Falcons down. Kudos to Snoop, Derrick, Hamilton, and the Defensive line and linebackers. And Flowers and Bateman. Quote
tsylvester Posted Monday at 10:01 AM Author Posted Monday at 10:01 AM If you look up ugly in the dictionary it would have a picture of this team in this game. Fumble returned for a touchdown, can't catch the easy passes for 1st downs, cant even block air, as many linemen missing blocks, looking around trying to find someone to block. At one point this team 3 times as many plays, held the ball for 4 times what the Falcons did, yet still trailed in the game. The defense was very good, they played Penex just the way you should: make him beat you with his legs. Oh he ate some, but not near his average. Same for Robinson and their running game. Then Hamilton sealed the game in over time. I bet that felt real good for him, remember last year, he could have sealed the win over the Browns with a pick but dropped it!? The Falcons scored 1 offensive touchdown, ONE. Yeah, the coaches and players are singing a sweet tune for Snoop, but man, good thing it was an over confident Falcons team on a Sunday night after a tropical storm roared through the area. 4-1, right on track, record wise. They have set themselves up nicely while they figure who and what works best. Now we get into the hard part of the schedule, Browns up next, a team that always plays us tuff, a team playing well, despite their slip up yesterday. Quote
oldno82 Posted Monday at 03:46 PM Posted Monday at 03:46 PM If Huntley had a stronger arm, he could be a number one quarterback somewhere. It really hurts him that he doesn't because he has all the other qualities to be one: poise, leadership, game management, etc. He deserved the win and the accolades last night especially on that OT drive. Quote
tsylvester Posted Monday at 04:44 PM Author Posted Monday at 04:44 PM Ya wanne see Huntley with a stronger arm? Jameis Winston, only the later needs a better brain. I'm starting to worry a bit over Rose, he is not really living up to the billing, as far as I am concerned. Last year, new line coach & all he got a mulligan. While there is, are, new coaches this year, I am starting to see him slip off of blocks when run blocking, not hold up well in pass blocking, more & more. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted Monday at 05:27 PM Posted Monday at 05:27 PM Enjoyed the game, and began getting frustrated with the offensive output vs the defense having a great outing against a dynamic running game. Been unemployed for almost 5 months now, thanks DOGE, so I could handle less sleep. Glad my 'effort' paid off. That fourth quarter/overtime was great and I loved that KHam stated that would have been a game we lose in the past. Huntley can be a snore, but he made up for it. Quote
oldno82 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Hey Grubber nice to see you! Sorry about the DOGE mess...hope you find what you're looking for soon. I agree. We would have lost this game last year. It was refreshing to see us just finish them off. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Thanks. This is not the time to be unemployed... Quote
oldno82 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I was a fed for many years before retiring so I kind of know how you feel. Every time there was an election I would sweat it. Quote
