cravnravn Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Issues? areyoushiddingme? What have you been doing since January 23rd? The Friggin road to New Orleans started TODAY, and this cat has "issues" Quote
vmax Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 With McKinnie absent during Thursday’s practice, Michael Oher switched from the right side, where he played last year, to McKinnie’s former spot at left tackle. Harbaugh almost made it sound as if the switch is permanent, an ominous sign for McKinnie, who is due to make $3.2 million in 2012 if he makes the team. “Michael Oher is the left tackle,” Harbaugh said, “and just for the record, we’ve always believed Michael Oher is a left tackle here. We were going to put the five best linemen out (on the field) last year and Michael was at right tackle. I’m very comfortable with Michael at left tackle. Until further notice, he’s a left tackle. My point is we’ve got to find a right tackle and there’ll be a heated competition for that spot.” Saying he needs to find a right tackle certainly makes it sound as if the team isn’t counting on McKinnie.http://www.csnbaltimore.com/blog/ravens-talk/post/McKinnie-absent-from-camp?blockID=746871&feedID=6703 Sounds like he's done. Meanwhile Harewood rolled his ankle, Jah Reid has a strained calf and Osemele still has back spasms. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Did anybody play on the o line today? McKinney is a piece of shit. He just flipped 3.2 million Quote
vmax Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 He doesn't get the $3.2 mil unless he makes the team. This is mandatory so hefty fines can be involved too.My guess is he hasn't made the reporting weight that they agreed upon and is trying to buy time. His conditioning may be poor too.Maybe it's deeper...like he's lost it physically. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Such a waste..its disgusting if you ask me. All that money and he cant keep off the twinkies Quote
yagersports Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 We've seen this from Harbaugh before. Sometimes it works and it lights a fire under the player. Sometimes the player shrinks in the face of the challenge and fades away. (McCallister) I personally hope that McKinnie steps up. However, from what I've seen Harbaugh always fields the best players to win. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Cmac was on a team of 1. He was from the day the Ravens drafted him. Quote
reddog271 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 we have no idea what the issue is. why not wait and find out? Quote
cravnravn Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 we have no idea what the issue is. why not wait and find out? Because we are impatient? Heres a tid bit on him, apparently its back related, now I really have issues because a chiropractor is NOT A DR. we would get more relief at the Ravens facility. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/News/Articles/2012/07/Fines_Apply_To_Bryant_McKinnie_Still_No_Talks.aspx Quote
vmax Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Maybe it's drug related. He might want time to pass the drug test. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 Maybe it's drug related. He might want time to pass the drug test. Give him some pointers on how to pee clean.. Quote
reddog271 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 maybe we don't know.. and should stop guessing. If he has something personal going on... he should be able to deal with it. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Hes had 5 months to deal with it... My speculation: Hes Fat and over weight Quote
reddog271 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Hes had 5 months to deal with it... My speculation: Hes Fat and over weight but he was at the complex most of the offseason... I doubt that's the issue. Quote
vmax Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 At this point in his career McKinnie has to redeem and prove himself to his team, coaches and himself. He has to get on that field and win a starting job outright....with no questions that he's the best LT on the roster. He's got to take over and not let anybody push him around. He needs to play with piss and vinegar and like his hair is on fire. He needs to answer if he's playing for love of the game or just a check. Quote

Played pretty god. Not great but good. He's been working out, in better shape than anytime last year. He missed 3 days of camp. I'm not that worried Quote

I'm not that worried I pretty much agree with you but you have to understand that due McKinnie's track record most people aren't going to cut this guy any slack. I do believe he's trying to change but he just has to show it. Quote
oldno82 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Its a tough case. Part of me wants the team to cut him, the other part hopes he's in shape and can start practicing right away. I don't feel real good that that is the case. Quote
vmax Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 OK...ok...maybe I'm wrong and he's been trying real hard to get in great shape but that does not excuse not calling the Ravens.Make him earn a starting spot. I like Oher at LT. He and Williams can create some great running lanes there. Quote
oldno82 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 That's the most inexcusable thing: he didn't even bother to call the team. Quote
