  1. Yes that's the play I was talking about in the first sentence of the original post. That was an obvious PI and they swallowed their whistle. It made the one series where they called defensive holding 3 times on the Ravens even more maddening. Either you are letting them play or you're not. There was a call against Webb that was definitely legit but the other two holding calls were for things they were letting guys get away with all night. Very inconsistent officiating.
  2. I was going to say...do we even want Cinci to lose that game? I would rather Cinci win and SD get another loss.
  3. This is a good one from facebook:
  4. I hope you guys are right. We are 1.5 games back with a tougher schedule so I just don't see the division in the cards.
  5. Good sportsmanship steelhurtin Unlike your coach! Zing! lol just teasing. As always, good game - you guys aren't out of it yet, but yall have to win out.
  6. Only 1 team over .500 left and that's the Colts who are reeling...I don't think it's that hard.
  7. I thought so too at first, but there was no contact. I don't think that's a penalty.
  8. I think the offense is playing pretty well now Spen. Compared to where we started the season (3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out). The line is improving in pass blocking and Flacco is getting time to lauch some deep passes. Whether Flacco can improve his accuracy on them will be key down the stretch because Jones and Smith are consistently getting open. As far as the division goes, I just don't think it's realistic. They have to win out and that aint happening.
  9. Flacco played pretty well, mainly because he was efficient and avoided the big turnover. Part of that was luck. We were lucky to fall on that fumble.
  10. Wow was that horrible last night. You had the no call on the Flacco underthrow where Gay pretty much bowled over Jacoby without looking for the ball. The Steelers Oline were holding (especially inside) like mad..I don't think the Officials called one holding call all game on the olines. The Tomlin no call was mind boggling. The NFL really needs to get their officals on the same page. Last week a far less egregious infraction gets called, this week intentional cheating gets overlooked. No excuse for them on that play. One one Steelers drive the officials seemed to decide that they were going to go from not calling anything in the secondary to making every touch beyond 5 yards a holding penalty. Corey Graham gets nailed..then on the very next drive Ike Taylor (who had been holding all night) mugs the shit outta torrey on 3rd down and the refs go back to "letting them play" I am so glad the Ravens pulled it out because I would have been sick if the Steelers came back to win after all the inconsistent officiating
  11. I thought you were going say .."We've got...two tickets to Paradise" I was going to say slow down Max! The team is definitely getting better, but still tough sledding because they have left themselves very little margin for error. Next week another must win, then at most 1 loss in the final 3 to even be in contention.
  12. I love this guy's mental toughness. Ray's 15 yard penalty to push him back from a chip shot? No problem. 40, 50 yarders late in the game, no problem. Outside of that, Jacoby gets one.
  13. That was a nice postgame segment with Jacoby and Tucker, outside of Michelle Tafoya being a little too dismissive of Tucker. Here is a close second to that photo of the day
  14. My thoughts exactly
  15. Good article by Preston. He hit the nail on the head.
  16. They were both wrong, but at least Ray comments were in the off season where it couldn't be a distraction. Now half the offense will have microphones shoved and be asked to pick sides. Harbs is going to have to deal with this as well. A closer comparison would be to one of those TO tantrums in Dallas when was complaining he wasn't getting the ball enough. I don't love the wildcat but at least they are trying something different. Pittsburgh used it successfully against us and we have had some marginal success with it. I don't care if it looks like a high school offense, I care about results and we weren't getting them. You don't get style points because you go 3 and out looking like a pro offense. Outside of that, you just don't undermine your coaches by complaining to the media. Period. Especially when you have another avenue to influence change which is by simply playing better.
  17. Irsay annoys the crap out of me with his stupid tweeting and he's not even the owner of my favorite team.
  18. I have to agree. I was very surprised by his comments, and I thought they were out of character and disrespectful. Is Joe aware he is quarterbacking the 4th worst offense in the league and has set a new career high for interceptions with 5 games to go? When the offense is as terrible as it's been all season of course the coaching staff is going to try different things. It's childish to sit there and complain about it to the media.
  19. I like Monroe and I hope we can afford him. He's not Ogden but he's better than Oher on the left. He's good enough. I like Oher's toughness and durability (on the right of course). If he is reasonable about his price we should bring him back imo
  20. We should know by the end of the year if Gino will be a keeper or not. He definitely has shown improvement in the last two games.
  21. Booze man...you gotta know your limits. I still to this day don't understand why people intentionally get drunk, but I know I am in the minority on that. I have a problem with the concept of not being in control of myself.
  22. Good summation. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with Ray's comments if he would have left out the part about the defense bailing Joe out. It certainly wasn't true last year. I will add that while it has been Ray's tendancy not to hold back punches when talking about the Ravens, his criticisms have always come in a self serving manner. They're missing leadership because Ed and I aren't there.Flacco isn't that great and my defense bailed him out. But I shouldn't be too harsh because if Ray is anything, he's consistent. It's not just his criticisms that are self serving, it's also his praise. During the playoff run last year, whenever he was asked for his reaction to a great play made by a teammate, his comments went something like this: Reporter: "What did you think about Flacco's bomb to tie the game against Denver?"Ray: "Well I went up to Joe and I said it's your time to lead us" Reporter: "How about that run back by Jacoby?"Ray: "I touched his chest during halftime and I just told him, do what you do" I'm paraphrasing of course, but you get the idea. It's Ray's world.
  23. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww
  24. They did throw to Dickson on one play with tyrod in. He was open but Tyrod threw it a little low
  25. KVV has given us a peek into Harbs hour to hour schedule...pretty cool.
