  1. Hmmff, Eric said the reason for the Simpson pick was bpa, because all of their top listed wide outs were taken... Well Eric, I will repeat what I said earlier. Since you as a team, have not ever drafted a wide out who turned out to be productive, why not throw caution to the wind and say," hey, we think so & so is going to be a bust nfl receiver, so let's take him".. What have you to lose? If he turns out to be a bust, you were right, if you were wrong and he turns out to be an all pro, (very likely) you look like a genius! Isn't that a better gamble than drafting another weak, speedy edge/inside backer who while a manimal, is weak at the point of attack, Likely to be a rotational player at best?
  2. I'm puzzled as to why Ringo is still there, yes he sometimes has lapses in coverage but his skill set and size, speed can't be coached, he can. Do what ever it takes to draft him. If they can't, get Rush, from S Carolina, he is raw but also has the skill set, size, quickness and make up speed this team needs. AT Perry is still there, adding another wide out could also be fruitful
  3. Oh boy, they stood pat, drafted Patrick Queen, er umm Trenton Simpson, same player, same type player, athletic, relied on his athletism in college, doesn't cover well, gets lost in zone coverage... Queen wasn't happy, "sheesh" he tweeted.. yeah, I agree Patrick, I agree
  4. As I said in the draft thread, I think they should try to trade up into the 2nd to get one of the top tier CBS left, Ringo, Porter, etc. Use Duv as bait if needed. This team need quality not quantity
  5. Because he was one of the terms of the hostage release
  6. I wonder does this mean the end of Duv, with cap savings, let Flowers return kicks? Does this end the Hopkins trade? Eric needs to be
  7. Na, no where near Brown. He works hard on his route running and pass catching. If you want to see how Todd will use him, watch tape of how an average receiver, an over achiever in McKonkey, was able to have a stellar career at Georgia. Todd is going to have fun with Flowers. Now I wonder, do they don't have a true run blocking tight end on the team, with Boyle being let go. I wonder if they try to replace him with Darnell Washington, who is essentially an offensive tackle with great hands.
  8. My biggest take away, as Eric said, the nightmare is over
  9. Now, there are still some very good corners in the draft, but not likely to last to round 3. Maybe the team can and should trade up into the second to nab one...
  10. Think Steve Smith, kid plays with attitude, a very good pick. Here is hoping he wasn't the Ravens highest rated wide, that they had Addison rated higher and tried a little reverse psychology
  11. Lions pick is in, they take Gibbs, runningback, Bama, wow, major reach
  12. Titans picks is in, commercial break, they pick a guard from North Western, has played right tackle, Skoronski
  13. Bears pick is in, let's move along Roger, you shortened the clock to keep this draft moving quickly, it ain't working so far
  14. Iggles move up to 9 to grab pick has been in for 5 minutes now, no announcement, lame Here we go, Bears trade places with them and get 2024 4th rounder Phile picks, tick tick tick tick what's the hold up? Jalen Carter
  15. Yippie Robinson goes before(well) the Ravens could be tempted, to the Falcons at 8
  16. Pick is in at 8 for the Falcons so sure, let's go to commercial. Man, the draft coversge used to be so great. Then they got full of them selves, out priced them selves... should get worse next year after another round of layoffs at Espn
  17. Raiders take Tyree Wilson, defensive end, nice pick, if not a few spots early
  18. Cards trade up to 6th, give Lions the 12th and 2nd round pick, 34 So that they can take Ohio St offensive tackle Paris Johnson jr
  19. Colts, wow, take Richardson at 4
  20. Cards get the 12th pick plus 2023 second (No. 33), 2023 third (No. 73), 2024 third
  21. Wow Houston is nuts, trade up from 12 to 3 when you already have your pick for a qb (CJ).. just to take a smallish rush end who can only beat tight ends? Anderson might be the most over rated defensive end/olb in a long long time
  22. Well, it was less guaranteed than he asked for, more than the Ravens offered. Now, how is is structured? 52 bills per is a lot of cap, I was hoping for a 7 year deal to lower that number but I guess Lamar was fixated on the per year as much as the guaranteed. Maybe this will help him take the job more seriously, eat right to avoid the IBS issues he seems to face each year that keeps him out of practice. Maybe more study to ensure he is ready to face the next defensive system he faces and so that he knows the plays so as to not hold up the play clock..mmmmm
  23. Guess it means hippidie hoppidie, Hop is on the way
  24. Wow, head shake, wow, no wonder my psiatica is acting a fool with a hot metal rod & spikes Jackson's deal is worth $260 million over five years with $185 million guaranteed, according to CBS Sports NFL insider Josina Anderson. This makes Jackson the league's highest-paid player with an average annual salary of $52 million. It puts Jackson just ahead of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who recently became the league's highest-paid player after signing a five-year, $255 million extension. The guaranteed portion is second-best to Deshaun Watson's $230 million in his deal with the Browns
  25. If they get Hop, and Lamar signs, and this goes sideways, doesn't work, the front office will have to be fired. Now I am not saying Super Bowl or bust, they aren't the Jets right now, where if Rodgers doesn't produce a championship in the next year or 2 it is a failure. But this team, sans injuries, with those additions would have to have a run deep in the playoffs each of the next what, 3 years, or it will be a failure. Or if this offense doesn't take off because of Lamar....
