Nice awareness by Fort

Missed tackles gonna hurt

Here we go, defense on the field...

Good play call, terrible play by Stanley.. Awareness people, awareness

Great start, can they finish this drive?
-
It's more of a break than playing at 1 pm when traveling coast to coast. Whether or not they can win it gives them a better chance. Just look at SanFran for current proof.. But there is ample evidence that team going coast to coast to play a 1 pm game usually lose. The weather ia likely to hinder the quickness of Jackson...

It doee sometimes, but networks also get to choose. I hate fox's coverage, but a 4:30 game for an east coast team traveling to the west coast is a break the Ravens could use... Nice to see Green Bay play...

He has a torn labrum, according to his agent, plus, he is not the answer this team needs on the line. They need a guard/ center if anything...
-
When is enough enough? Crav, this is your wheel house, the "experts" claim to have no clue as to the injuries; but clearly this track needs to be shut down.. 34 horses in less than a year https://ktla.com/2019/10/19/santa-anita-park-in-arcadia-sees-34th-horse-death-since-late-december/

Can they be Illinois?

I'm with you, this won't be pretty flying across the country to play there, tough crowd to deal with communication is key and that is the Ravens biggest issue. This feels like an ugly game, a blow out win for Seattle, made to maybe look close at the end.. SeaHawks, 28-13

Time will tell if he can continue to evolve or if he ends up an RG3, Mike Vick, win regular season games with his legs but can't pass into the playoffs or injuries. We know he can't run like that for very long, look no further than Carolina and Cam, Andrew Luck & the Colts. Running and hits cost Luck a long career, Cam, well, it remains to be seen if his shoulder & foot ever recover. Time, patience & time

Jimmy needs to lay off the pain meds......

Well said OSR, I could not agree more..

If they come out throwing, they are going to lose big. If they can keep the running game going, they stand a chance. Even with Peterson in the mix, this defense is likely to get eaten up by the pass, so the less they are on the field, the better.... Constant pressure on Wilson, awareness is the word of the day for this game; know your lanes. Study to see what his hot routes are so that when they blitz, there will be nothing open. A second longer of coverage, can make a big difference.

Who cares? The key was to try and improve the defense, a good secondary player can help the pass rush. All he has to be is better than the two guys currently having the burned parts scraped off the bread... Shoot, I bet you could cover better than Canaday & Averate There is still a chance he signs long term
-
If he leaves next year, the Ravens get a comp pick, at least a 5th, likely a 3rd if he plays well and signs a big deal. So then, what will be lost? A linebacker who has no instincts, sure he is fast but he doesn't stick to the scheme and who was going to be cut anyway. Win-win
-
Wow, No wonder they traded Peterson, the money they will have tied up and an over paid qb, seldom used always hurt rb, dt, now corner.. Ouch... I wonder if his back is as much of an issue as he claimed.. I doubt it if they went through with this trade.
-
They also save 5 mil in cap space..
-
You are correct that the D is not one player away. However, to get rid of a player you were going to cut at the end of the season and a 5th pick that you got for a player you were going to cut (and is not on any team I believe, now) for a player who is better than what you have at the second corner position, Canaday, Averett, and at his best is better than anyone on the roster now, makes this a great move. If he leaves at the end of the season you get that 5th, at least, back, so what is there to lose? This isn't like giving up a 1st & 3rd plus a player, for a player in the secondary (who may or may not have back issues)... This was Eric's finest move so far and gives me hope that he is the next young Wizzard of Oz...
-
If they would just shut up & get out of their own way, they could be good. We've seen it, but they instead, keep talking and tripping over their own tongues..
-
A 5th round pick that they got from the Vikes, sure, Peters needs a new deal but if he leaves after the season, the Ravens will get a comp pick for him. If Smith comes back healthy, he, Peters & Humphries will instantly improve the pass rush, let alone the secondary.
-
Na, I think they are the same player basically...
-
Sorry, I did not see this thread. This is a great deal, it costs nothing, Young would have been released next year anyway... Great steal.

Good trade, can't believe the Rams did this, what a steal, should help both the pass rush and secondary. Def better than giving up all that they offered for Ramsey.. The Los Angeles Rams have traded CB Marcus Peters to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for LB Kenny Young and an undisclosed 2020 draft pick. Young appeared in all 16 regular season games with three starts as a rookie after getting selected by Ravens in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The former UCLA standout has amassed 64 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, one pass breakup and two forced fumbles across 21 career games. Acquired last year in a trade with the Chiefs, Peters tallied 57 total tackles, five interceptions and 12 pass breakups in 22 games with the Rams. He collected 14 tackles, two interceptions and four pass breakups through the first six weeks of this season. https://www.therams.com/news/rams-trade-marcus-peters-to-ravens
