Thanks crav, I've read a ton about that track and no one has brought this up. It makes perfect sense; the owners should pay through the nose or be forced to sell the track. Why this isn't getting more press is astounding, sad and maddening.

B Will is just getting back into form: time to unleash the beasts...

Db's make sure to study the tapes, Brady is scared to sit & wait, . You mighf have to watch your hands you see, you will also be battling the referees.... Linebackers make sure to drop deep at first, to take away a throw from third down to first. They can't run the ball at all this year, so the defenive line should pin back their ears.
-
Study buddies team up! Linemen, with linemen, backs with backs. Now everyone switch! The Pats can be run on, run over, run around. Now, receivers team up with tight ends, their coverage is good but beatable with precise routes and a few tough catches. Lamar, sit with Roman, don't beat your self. You see their defense is built on deception and the offenes making mistakes; penalties & turnovers. What a joke, they are who we think they are: fake.

The Jets released him, after he had his surgery, against their advice...

I like John's columns, and to some extent I agree, he has done a very good job so far; key words-so far. Yes, the recent free agent pick ups & the steal for Peters look fabulous right now. How ever, how much different would this article be if the Jags had accepted the proposed trade for Ramsey? All of those high draft picks, plus even more of the cap eaten. I know this is the bye week, halfway point of the season free talk, but it is still very early in how well Fort, Bynes Ferguson & company will pan out for the rest, they may just get exposed against better competition, soon. Not that this league is playing well this year; yuk. We also should wait, John E, to see if EDC does any more moves worthy of MVP status; Vick Beasely for. 4th rounder perhaps? https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/eisenberg-a-behind-the-scenes-mvp-so-far

Makes no sense, sure, comp picks are tradable now, but they took the lesser player. He was a reach when he was drafted and now he would go undrafted. Unless, of course, they are trying to make a trade for a pass rusher for Smith plus a drafts....
-
Josh Gordon to IR, glad he won't be an option, too bad for him though, such talent, so many troubles....
-
Doubtful, he has no other use. Bethel could atleast play a little corner if needed, 3 ints returned for touchdowns... NE is also grasping for offensive linemen, their line is not that great, I really do see the Ravens defensive line getting pressure on Brady and getting him to the ground; legally..... Now will the db's be ready for the quick, hot route? A 3 yard slant, 5 yard out, and NE loves to screen, regular and wide receiver, something this defense struggles with.....
-
I hope he does well... https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/the-ravens-new-pass-rusher-has-a-wild-story-to-tell

The Ravens just need to: get on the bus Gus, make a run plan man, don't need a decoy boy, just listen to me. Get on the Gus bus, hand it to ingram man, it's easy you'll see... My apologies to Paul Simon for ripping his song....

That's right VA, the Pats have smaller linemen & backers, for quickness not true power. They use the fly to the ball mentality, tackle by numbers like wild dogs. So how to you have success against them? With a true power runninng game, with backs who fight for each yard, linemen who gang block, with misdirection to take advantage of their quickness and use it against them. This offense faced a defense like the Pats last year, San Diego, it did not go well. However, that was last year. This year, both backs are healthy and run angry. Lamar is more comfortable, the line gelling. I like the Ravens chances on offense; Defense, well, the Pats just got Sanu from Atlanta, he poses another threat. This should be an interesting game..

Yes, yes, the big bad Patriots.... Ewwwwwwwwww oooooo..... Palease.... Ok, they are dominating horrible teams, not only is Darnold inexperienced & unproven, but the Jets's line is horrifically bad. Did you see those picks? He threw them right to them... Same for their other games; bad offenses, horrible teams is what their stats are built on this hear. We've talked about it, how bad, historically bad the league in general is this year. So many injuries and retirements, holdouts, young players playing.... They do not have a gimic offense, pretty straight forward. Brady is a statue and their line, while good, is average at best. They allow rushers to come up the field, then they use that momentum against them, & push them into each other, creating lanes. Pretty simple. Get to Brady up the middle by timed blitzes into the gaps their linemen create.. Boom, sack, incomplete, interception. Their routes are always the same, crossing routes to create natural picks for Elderman, deep crossing routes, flag to far post with two underneath routes to occupy , fool the safeties. An occasional 9 route, but mostly dink & dunk with their quickness. Homework, the Ravens defense just needs to study; word of the game; study-buddy.

Best special teams player, according to Harbs. Why did they let him go? To save a likely 4th round comp pick in 2020 draft. So let me ask, why was a draft pick in the 4th worth losing a great special teams player and a secondary, minimal, player when the special teams have been struggling? Was he worth a 4th rounder? Or is there a move coming? To make room for Jimmy? Or a defensive rush monster? We should stay tuned perhaps... https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-waive-special-teams-standout-justin-bethel

Yes, while the linebackers have played well, both middle backers need to be upgraded. They are great fill in players, role players, over the course of a game or season they will be exposed. They don't track the ball well behind the los, thus not filling the holes in the running game. Clarke, time will tell, he is a good communicator, & tackler, he is still a liability in coverage. Maybe with more playing time he will get better. Smith coming back will help a lot, meaning Averett and company won't get as much playing time, Carr too can stop playing so much. He is terrible at route recognition, and always getting burnt. The trade deadline is next week but I don't know of a legit pass rusher that is on the block nor worth trading for, there will be several in the upcoming draft. Even so, the nucleus is there especially if Peters stays. Best to let the season play out, the league overall is having a down year talent wise; team wise. Even NE is untested.

Some caveats out of the way... The rain has to be considered, there were some drops, an unexplainable fumble from a wet shirt, hands and ball.... Ok, done.. Now, sure, there was only 1 sack, they lost their rush lanes/ discipline at times. But, there was pretty much constant pressure on the pocket, so much so, that a non-athletic quarterback would have been swallowed up. Yes, they gave up, 106 yards rushing, which is pretty good but nothing earth shattering. They gave up ONLY 16 points to one of the best quarterbacks & offenses in the league, albeit with one missed field goal. They held a likely HOF quarterback to a 65 qbr, completed only 50 % of his passes and got him for a pick six. He only threw for 241 yards, some of that to end the game, when the score was out of reach. There were some blown coverages, but far less than other games and did we mention it was slippery? 5.1 yards per play they held the SeaHawks to, 1-4 in the redzone, against a qb like Wilson. This, with the offense of the Ravens sputtering for most of the game, TOP was 29:54 (Ravens)- 30:06 (SeaHawks).. Most of that time was gained by Seattle in the first half. There were 9, Nine, tackles for a loss, 9. Now Seattle was 10 of 17 on third downs, a total of 68 plays, at the same time, while this was bad, again, 1 of 4 in the redzone and, this shortened the game. So, it was on the road, West Coast, in the rain, against an arguably HOF caliber quarterback and very, very quick receivers skilled in backyard plays. Did the defense take another step? Sure, we know they need depth, they need help on the Dline and backer. But Fort & Ferguson played well for fill-ins. How many times do we think Brady gets sacked if he were the qb in that game? Can this defense keep getting better? Hold the penalties down, (I know, that officiating crew was one of the crews that holds their flags for late games).. Still, what does it mean?

I have to agree with this article, he took over as the leader of this team, officially, because of this game... USA TODAY: Opinion: Lamar Jackson's anger gave Ravens what they needed to beat Seahawks. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/columnist/mike-jones/2019/10/20/lamar-jackson-baltimore-ravens-seattle-seahawks/4050276002/

The Pats have a better defense but a qb who can't scramble... The Bears recovered back to back onside kicks even though they were down 18 with under 2 mins to play and still lost. Anything can happen in this league...
-
Seattle may not be who we thought they were, but at least the Ravens did not let them off the hook...
-
This was a statement win, maybe a season maker if they can stay with in them selves
-
Wow Chargers really suck, all of that talent, & they can't help but lose
-
Bad game, wrong gloves, pressing harder with each pass my guess
-
Yes no doubt, thise 2 drives were incredible. He was forced into using his legs because of Andrews and his unlikely drops and the typical holding penalty from Boyle, who made up for it with a nice catch & run. But Lamar was the difference and we can't forget about the defense; Ive been hard on them but they stepped up today.

Don't get beat deep, Humphry again. He sealed the game but this young man has a long way to go as far as being a shut down, lock down corner
