  1. Haha I know the stigma but that school is dramatically different from even when I graduated high school back in 2006. All the dorms and academic buildings are brand new. I visited the school when I was looking at colleges and the campus was a dump. My mom went to visit this past summer with my youngest brother who is a senior in high school and she couldn't believe it was the same campus it was so improved.
  2. Good point dc! I know papa will still find a way to disagree though haha. I think the arena is a good investment (it looks really nice btw). Loyola showed what a good basketball team (and lacrosse) can do for a university. Education quality-wise, Towson and Salisbury are both much better upper level education institutions than they were even six years ago. Might be a long-term investment, but I think it is a good investment.
  3. Yanks lose! Win tonight and the division is tied with five games left! This is what a pennant chase is about!
  4. I do agree the state has been dragging its feet. However I don't think it's too late. The National Harbor casino presents opportunity to lore people from VA and DC.
  5. Ah I've seen much worse use of MD tax payer money. This doesn't bother me too much. It is what it is.
  6. Homer Bailey, I remember when he was a top prospect supposed to be the next best thing. Good to see some of that potential realized.
  7. Hey it's his hobby!
  8. Have to disagree. With a close game, you give your best player the ball. Allen hasn't proven anything. Sure he is a big guy, but that doesn't always equate. He made a boneheaded mistake earlier in the game.
  9. Very interesting, thanks for posting!
  10. Have to take care of Boston first!!!
  11. They got the taxes lowered because the taxes were originally way too high at 67%. They just lowered the tax to a number closer to the national average.
  12. I agree it's easy to over-do it. I think the original agreement was there would only be five "casinos" in MD, but now it is going to be seven. But companies will build casinos if they feel they can make money, if they cannot then the casinos will go out of business. Their loss. This is an O'Harrah's being built on Russell Street just South of M&T Bank Stadium. The casino in the National Harbor is supposed to be the huge one at stake here. Me personally, I do not have any adversion to gambling. But a casino without table game seems boring to me.
  13. I am starting to think Joe can throw for 350 yards per game! In all seriousness the Browns played great up front in the trenches. Great call by Cam to mix it up by throwing in Pierce. The Browns were hell-bent on stopping Rice. The Browns have a weak secondary and we attacked it, Joe made some very nice throws against man coverage and cover 2 zones. It was penalties and sacks that killed our offensive drives. In a poor weather-laden game, that is bound to happen. Outside of the INT, Joe played a solid game IMO.
  14. I think you are slighting the Browns here. Their defensive front seven are very aggressive and athletic. Outside of Atlanta and Houston, you could label every team in the league as "middle tier". The bottom line is we will be in the playoff mix and that is all any NFL team can ask for. Ask the Packers ('11), Saints ('11), Colts ('09), and Patriots ('08) what it means to be near perfect in the regular season. What it comes down to is who is healthy and who is hot at the right point. Yes, our pass rush is very concerning, but our offense has shown that they can move the ball, and the defense still has playmakers. Get used to the break-but-don't-bend defense. It is stressful, and will give up a lot of yards, but those are the type of teams that win Super Bowls.
  15. It was a relatively flat performance but it was a very short week for us and the weather was crappy. That is a formula for a sloppy game. Joe still threw for 350+ yards. Offensive line had a lot of trouble with the stunts and twists. They need to get that straightened out.
  16. It's the voting referendum on gambling expansion in Maryland (adding table games among other things).
  17. What does everything think about Question 7? I know a lot of people have a very strong opposition to it, but to me it does not seem like a big deal. Am I missing something?
  18. I was at the game last night. Really awesome game to be at!!!
  19. We split the double header. We need to make sure we take the series with wins tonight and tomorrow. There is no reason to split a series with the Jays.
  20. Wilfork drew a couple of holding calls from Yanda, but taking Wilfork on one-on-one is a tough task for any human. Yanda did an overall good job with Wilfork, as did Birk. Great game by Michael Oher. He completely neutralized Chandler Jones.
  21. Congrats Billy on the division! Double header today against the Jays. We need to take both of these games. The Yanks are going against the Twins so do not expect any help.
  22. I don't care if it was good or not. We won. I am in shock here.
  23. NO WAY!!! Does this team try and give its fans a heart attack?
  24. You jinxed it!! Haha jk Btw did anyone read Harbaugh's lips? Not very Catholic of him...
  25. I think Bryant McKinney seriously thought he was supposed to get the ball on that play. The Pats are exposing our weak spots and not leaving them alone. Cary Williams is complaining about being shoved every play but Cary is a paper clip out there. He needs to play tougher. The defensive front is obviously not getting a push rush but that is largely because Paul Kruger plays WAY too high. You would think the defensive coaches would tell him he needs to lower his pad level. With Paul it is the same club-to-spin move combo every time. Kruger stands straight up and the tackles are jacking him up on the pass rush. Both Williams and Kruger need to get some toughness, the Pats are going right at these two guys.
