The "press charges" line is hysterical, because the beluga whale who said it also stole the beard man's bag. Recorded on her own camera.
-
Thank god someone finally put this up. This is hilarious. Also, the old man suffers from dementia. That makes this entire situation less funny/deserving and more sad. As well: AMBER LAMPS.
-
The finish was good, but the Terps' rebounding was the worst I've ever seen. Tech was getting offensive rebound after offensive rebound.
-
You're absolutely right, but I don't think you could say that any pass rusher, at least right now, means as much to his team as Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, etc., and Revis, Asomugha, and such. Who are the best pass rushers in the league now? Freeney and Allen would be most folks' top two, I think. However, do you think either player is nearly as valuable to their team as any of the best receivers/cornerbacks? The Texans and Schaub are scrubs without Andre, Kurt Warner is average and the Cards are terrible without Fitzgerald, the Jets' top defense is average without Revis, and the Raiders are a UFL team without Asomugha.
-
I think it's between the receiver and the corner. A receiver that reliable makes an offense leaps and bounds better (Andre and the Texans are a great example), and a corner that strong shuts down his entire side of the field. For the sake of balance and what's on the roster right now, I think you have to take the receiver.

Why, because it's true? I haven't done something incredibly stupid, but I don't have the right to call out someone else who did something incredibly stupid--and killed someone because of it? What are you even trying to say? That I should have to get arrested for a DUI before I can condemn someone else for doing the same thing? We do not live in isolated bubbles. The world is not bubble gum and fairy tales. A man drove drunk and killed another man because of that, and spent only 24 days in jail as a sentence. Less than one year later, he has been offered $1 million to play football for the team I root for. That makes me absolutely SICK. I believe in second chances as much as anyone else; this is not a holier-than-thou attitude, but it's a statement as to how disgusting the real world can be.

A driver not under the influence is exponentially more capable of handling those circumstances. I'm not ignorant of them, I'm simply aware that they weren't the primary reasons for it. And I'm glad that my presence is an honor for you (as well it should be). However, my perfection is not the starting point. I'd say that anyone who doesn't get into a vehicle after drinking a large amount, and killing someone due to that illegal circumstance, is on the right track...but, you seem alright with that.
-
Haha! You're right. How naive am i?! Enjoy your million dollar murderer.

White Collar CAN be good, but it's not yet. Everything is forced and obvious. I'm not sure what anyone has against the Burn Notice guy, though. He's definitely the best character. And besides, Bruce Campbell!
-
All of which become nearly non-factors when the driver is not intoxicated.
-
Owens practically has his spot in Cincinnati lined up, according to CJ. He's not coming here, regardless, though.
-
I have, but I don't like it as much. Burn Notice has that sleek, CSI kind of feel to it. Human Target doesn't have that appeal, at least not yet.

Malice?

I don't touch my cell phone in the car, my music is never particularly loud, and I always obey the speed limit. I think I'm pretty free to judge and cast stones. If that 17 year old was intoxicated instead of on her cell phone, and had killed instead of injured you (which I'm sorry to hear, by the way), would you be okay with her receiving a 24 day jail sentence and receiving a job with a $900,000 salary within a year?
-
Thank you. I can't believe I went that far going on my own. What is the rationale? That he was just over the limit? Uh, no. His BAC was (I believe) .126. Why do people continue to say that he slept it off and then went out? He'd just partied for five hours, and ADMITTED to four shots and two margaritas. Does anyone here drink that much and think they're okay? He paid his dues? 24 days in prison, a thousand community service hours, and a loss of license? Are you kidding me? Many of you guys, or people you know, do it? That makes it better? The realization that he KILLED someone hasn't come to mind? Maybe you don't care about the person who died, but you would if that person mattered to you. And you'd feel a lot differently about this acquisition.

Is Demaryius Thomas the Ravens' Answer at WR?
ForceEight replied to nfldraft2010's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Well, he broke his foot today. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/02/17/demaryius-thomas-breaks-his-foot/ -
That's not true whatsoever. He went home at 1AM, but got a text message and went back to the party and had four more shots (after the two margaritas he'd already had). He came home after 6AM, and left less than one hour later to get breakfast (the 911 call was at 7:18 AM).

Yes, actually: http://bleacherreport.com/users/54284-bryn-swartz

There comes a point where "everyone does it" doesn't apply anymore. Driving under the influence is at that point. I don't care who does drive under the influence, and I don't care how lucky or unlucky anyone classifies them as opposed to Stallworth, simply because they didn't happen to hit and kill a man. I have no respect for any of them. And, for the sake of your argument, I've never driven under the influence of alcohol; I don't drink in the first place. Ozzie might drive me to it, though.
-
And you would be pretty naive if you thought that that was anywhere near the right thing to do. There are some things that you simply do not do. Driving drunk is one of them. You know why? Because you can KILL someone. And that's exactly what he did. I have no respect for him, and I have no desire to consider his measly jail sentence and community service as any form of payment for what he did. I suspect that, had it been the life of someone any of you know and love, you'd feel the same way.

I absolutely agree with your last comment, that Foxworth got better. He got a lot better, and I think most knew that would be the case when he displayed his commitment to get better when the season started. Cromartie doesn't have, and has never displayed, that kind of attitude and willingness to perform, though. Moreover, what makes anyone think that the Chargers would want McGahee? He's got an enormous contract, and he's only two years younger (with a similar running style) than the guy they're about to get rid of.
-
And he's a worse tackler than Foxworth. How's that for a combination?
-
He killed a man and did three weeks in jail; what severe consequences were there? And how can anyone not completely blame him? I'm sorry, but there's a difference between taking on someone with character issues and taking on a bona-fide killer. Donte Stallworth is a bona-fide killer. And, yes, I should support my players. He, however, is not my player. Nor will he ever be.
-
Doesn't Cromartie have Travis Henry syndrome? Like, 12 kids from 17 different mothers? Sounds like a perfect fit.
