  1. I'd block it because of exactly what RM just said. McGahee is probably worth more than Cromartie on his own; adding a second or third rounder in addition would be known as "getting raped". And, by the way, that highlight showed two tackles-he-should-have-made-but-didn't (not to be confused with missed tackles, which require effort). I never said I didn't want him, I just don't think he's this enormously valuable cog everyone thinks he is.
  2. Fun game to watch, that's for sure. Directly before/after halftime was painful.
  3. I'd infinitely rather sign Walter (for less money and less drama), and keep that first round pick for something else. Marshall is absolutely worth a first round pick. And if someone else gets Walter (the only free agent receiver worth looking at right now), then getting him would make sense. But with a more suitable option on the table, I'd rather keep that first rounder.
  4. As opposed to first and third, which I'd assume most folks thought he'd get. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/03/ravens-place-first-round-tender-on-gaither/
  5. That would be umpteen times more complicated. But that's not really the point. I'm saying that that video didn't do that; they used the same shot for the same length of time.
  6. The thing people don't understand, though, is that it's not an actual 40 yard dash; meaning, you can't technically line up videos like that and expect such a result. The time begins when the runner makes his first movement forward, not when a gun sounds or a light flashes or anything else. That's where these "official" times are coming from. Not from thin air.
  7. Basically, we are of the bottom four teams of the Final Eight (along with the Cowboys, Chargers, and Cardinals). We can sign ONE unrestricted free agent for over $5.8 million per year, and we can sign as many unrestricted free agents as we'd like for under $3.86 million in year one, with 30% growth each year thereafter. The top four teams (Saints, Vikings, Jets, Colts) can only sign an unrestricted free agent after one of their own unrestricted free agents is signed by another team.
  8. This will certainly change, and of course everyone will move down a spot with Roberts in the game but what do you think? Jones, A, CF Izturis, C, SS Markakis, RF Tejada, 3B Wieters, C Scott, LF Atkins, G, 1B Bell, DH Turner, 2B Also, I'm weirded out by hearing Tejada's name on the radio again.
  9. God, he's awesome.
  10. Crosby isn't even the best player on his team.
  11. The Killers - This River is Wild
  12. You mean aside from the Tom Brady-esque whining and Golden Boy status when it isn't exactly deserved? Well, he plays for Pittsburgh.

  14. They're being Norvified.
  15. More on Williams: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/02/28/mixed-reviews-on-the-new-mike-williams
  16. As I said months ago, Jackson and Floyd are both out of the Ravens' price range. The Chargers have given both the highest possible RFA tender, meaning it would cost a first- and third-round pick just to get them. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/02/28/chargers-to-put-highest-tenders-on-jackson-floyd/
  17. Donte Greene went to Towson Catholic (like Carmelo), not Towson. And, considering his 8 reps on the bench press, I wouldn't say he arrived in peak physical condition. I just don't like him. But I suppose I am biased.
  18. Oh, sorry. Just following the party line.
  19. I actually heard that he was driving a bus and couldn't go below 50 MPH lest a bomb explode, killing everyone inside. He sacrificed one life to save tens of others. He's a hero.
  20. There's...maybe...a dusting here in Essex. Concrete and asphalt are barely covered.
  21. It's rain/sleet tonight and in the 6-8" range for most of us by this time tomorrow night. Could be worse.
  22. DUI > jaywalking. And, yeah, I bet that conscience is suffering after that million dollar check he's got coming in the mail. As well, uh, yeah. Even accidental murder is a crime. So that little "thats ok cause you didn't kill a person" is a pretty big one. Killing someone is a BIG F*CKING DEAL.
  23. This is all about Suggs, because Monachino was the defensive line coach at Arizona State when Suggs was playing there.
  24. I can understand that. I refuse to watch games against Duke. Train wrecks are not fun when they're your own team. In other news, Cuse #4. And playing Villanova this weekend. Not too shabby.
