  1. I am skeptical of any draft that doesn't include all 8 draft picks (even if it was conducted prior to the compensatory pick announcement). I also don't see them drafting 2 interior OL. But if they do, one of them has to have played G/T like Yanda. True, they need MLB help somewhere and they also need a backup at NT.
  2. Aaron Wilson reporting Cam Johnson vs Miami 2011 (#56) (Playing injured according to the video description) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqiEROuemJc Cam Johnson vs Georgia Tech 2011 (#56) (Playing injured according to the video description) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93aEZHZcYAc
  3. Or maybe he just watched what happened to other Ravens who signed elsewhere as free agents and realized that if the money is close, resign. He is probably one of the most marketable Ravens at the present time so he can always supplement his salary with some endorsements. Income that wouldn't be available to him were he to sign elsewhere.
  4. Excellent news. Hopefully they will consider doing this more often, resigning guys to longer term deals instead letting them all play a final year on some form of tender and then head off to free agency.
  5. Christian Thompson looks intriguing although the level of competition is a concern. Combine Profile
  6. A.J. Jenkins (#8) vs Northwestern 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGLtevlRYjs Only game I could find, also seems to be his career game. Combine Video
  7. Aaron Wilson reporting Ravens to meet with Peter Konz, Wisconsin and A.J. Jenkins, Illinois Peter Konz (#66) vs Ohio State 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo4Ct96jlEc Peter Konz (#66) vs Nebraska 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1wiViy1il0
  8. I am not surprised. Ramon Harewood will be the starting LT.
  9. Philip Thomas (hattip papasmurfbell) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMKTJSsE_Js Can't really find any video of Buddy Jackson (except one special teams TD in a game recap vs Utah).
  10. Ron Brooks vs Ole Miss and Arkansas (2011 season) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xh-nKyoR1L4 Ron Brooks featured a few times on the LSU 2011 special teams highlight (#13) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0XmXUavry8
  11. In the spirit of papasmurf's threads on various positions, I figured a similar thread but based on reported visits to the Raven's headquarter. Aaron Wilson reports Josh Robinson's 40 yard dash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQgNyl0yVMw Josh Robinson vs Georgia (Liberty Bowl, 2010 season) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiO997bxcZY
  12. I only see OG and LB as immediate needs. It would be nice if they could transiation to new players at LT and OC towards the latter part of the season though, but I don't see them as immediate needs.
  13. He shares in the blame as well. But back to the original point of Manning's stats when playing outside. Anyone know his combined stats when playing in Baltimore?
  14. I am not sure they need that many more picks. There are what, like 40 something players under contract now and 8 draft picks. Now if they could trade a veteran or two they don't need for a first rounder like it seems NE does all the time, I would agree, but otherwise I think they are pretty set.
  15. 13th of january 2007. McNair however proved he was even worse.
  16. I don't know if they need someone to push Yanda for playing time. What they do need however is depth on the offense so the entire offense doesn't completely melt down as soon as one of the starters is either out or injured. I think it was papasmurfbell who eluded to it in another thread, but when it comes to depth on the offensive side of the ball the FO (or maybe the coaching?) is at or at least near the level of complete incompetence. All I ask for are some competent backups that can replace injured starters for a game or two without the offensive production falling off a cliff. Otherwise, you are asking for a season where all your offensive starters go through the entire season uninjured which just strikes me as idiotic in a physical sport like football....
  17. I don't see how the loss of two backup safeties means you go out and draft a new safety in the first round. Unless Reed is about to hang it up, I don't see it. And even if he is, with great CB play, I don't think FS is essential although nice.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIjNIIOr5FI Interesting video in the regard that he seems to have been missused his senior year as a DT. Might be better to watch videos of his early years instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIrlEZNqVfw Julian Miller is my favorite by far out of all these players in this thread so far. At least if he slims down from his DT role.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLGOImoth1E The only thing I could find on Donte Paige-Moss, unfortunately from the 2010 season. I get Dwan Edwards flashbacks when watching some of these plays. Just so slow off the snap at times.
  20. At least special teams should be better although I wouldn't mind if they could find a decent returner that isn't your best starting CB.
  21. This looks like a one year deal to me. With that in mind, I would expect them to draft a center and transition to the new center over the course of the season.
  22. I don't think there are that many. McPhee, Ngata, Hall, Jones, Cody, McAdoo and McClellan. Let's add Kruger as well. Of those, McAdoo, McClellan and Kruger are LBs (maybe 3rd down D-line). That leaves McPhee, Ngata, Hall, Jones and Cody. I am not sure what Hall is (listed at 295 so DE possibly), but otherwise that's 1 NT and 3 DE in a 3-4. I could see them add another NT and maybe (depending on Hall) a DE.
  23. Guess this should go into the DT/DE thread (when there is one) but I don't see a 5-7th round draft pick. Just makes too many plays in such a short sequence of film that isn't even supposed to feature him. Maybe that was the game of his life.
  24. Olivier Vernon looked the best to me in these videos. Maybe Malik Jackson, but he looks more like a DE than OLB to me. The guy I really want after watching all these videos is the guy lining up right next to Olivier Vernon though, #54 on Miami. No idea who that is, but I want that guy if he is draft eligible.
  25. Cam Johnson looks heavier than 270 or maybe he just isn't really explosive. Pass coverage was not his strong point though...
