  1. Let's see if they can muster more than 9 yards on offense.
  2. I am surprised none of the offensive tackles was mentioned. I thought they generally played very well.
  3. I think I will go watch this game. Sounds entertaining.
  4. Nginx is just a web server, the software itself that serves up the web page you would usually see. I would say the address itself is wrong somehow. http://www.yahoo.com/ works fine for me. If you type that in, you still end up with a Nginx welcome message? Also, yahoo voices it is said was recently hacked so you might want to change your password for yahoo just in case. Yahoo voices hacked.
  5. I don't see the problem. No goverment can spend more than it can take in taxes in perpetuity. This goes from the local goverment all the way to the federal. The fact that politicians lie about this fact all the time doesn't make it factually wrong. In the end, the only solution seems to be the way Sandy Springs, Georgia is run. In case you haven't seen it, forward to 20:00 minutes. Courtesy of Capital Account http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zx3PkS69UrQ
  6. Eh, I don't see a hidden treasure in the TE position on the Ravens. Sure, Pitta seems solid, but Dickson seems very unreliable and a really good blocking TE seems absent. I really do think Cam Cameron needs a solid blocking TE to make his version of offense work. Didn't I see someone post somewhere that the Ravens used their 2 TEs more than almost every other team?
  7. I think the blackout provision is the real problem here, not necessarily the lack of fans in the stand eventhough that too doesn't help of course. TV-money is the most important source of income and as the number of games that can be broadcasted locally shrinks, so will the TV-money. Let's be realistic, most fans cheer for their local team. If the local football team isn't shown on TV, fans will eventually find another local team of some sort to follow instead.
  8. I don't think this is accurate. Someone on another board made a breakdown of this and it wasn't horribly skewed like one tends to think. Otherwise I agree with most things.
  9. I am looking forward to fan made podcasts featuring coaches film.
  10. So, Ramon Harewood for starting LT this season? I think if anyone proves competent at LT, McKinnie will be gone. Just can't see them put up with this any longer. If they would have, they should have kept Gaither instead.
  11. I actually don't think it will remain as popular as it is now. The main question is what will go first, the influx of new players or fans? For one, I think the influx of youth into the sport will dwindle due to all the injuries and the longevity of a football career compared to other sports. In soccer or basketball you can go abroad if you can't cut it in the top league (even if you can't go to the top league in a major soccer nation of course) and still make a decent living for say 10 years. Not so much in football. I also don't think the move towards a pass only league will prove popular in the long run. If it were, Arena Football would be huge. Football is great because of the balance between offense and defense and unlike two-way sports (basketball, soccer) you can more easily appreciate defensive play in football. You can also score while playing defense in football unlike almost any other sport. Then there is the whole issue of continuous expansion, ticket price increases, blackouts, etc. To me, the golden era of football is over. It was 2000 - 2010, but we will see.
  12. Harbaugh won't be around forever. I think camp will be back once Harbaugh is gone. The Ravens don't really have a market all to themselves and you cannot allow yourself to alienate your fan base like that. Of course, if the Deadskins ever become competitive again, that would speed up the process.
  13. Meh, shit happens. Time for the young guys to step it up.
  14. Let's see, they drafted a G/T in the second round, a G/C in the fourth and a WR in the sixth. Yeah, there is no new juice in the passing game....
  15. Cam Cameron's passing offense is very limited, focusing on vertical routes. In other words, a perfect match.
  16. Tommy Streeter, WR Miami Finally a tall receiver. Hopefully not Clarence Moore II....
  17. Asa Jackson, CB Cal Poly. Special teamer?
  18. Christian Thompson, FS South Carolina State. Nice, that's the guy Ed Reed was mentoring, well, will continue to mentor now I assume.
  19. lol, what? Is Rhett Ellison really a 6'5" FB?
  20. The Texans are really impressing me with their drafting.
  21. I really like KO (Sorry, can't spell his name yet) as a G/T. There is no way, while Cameron is here, the offense transitions into a pass first (only?) offense so he seems like a great fit to me.
  22. Oh my god, so much Pittsburgh love on his Twitter feed.
  23. I believe he visited the Ravens if I remember correctly.
