  1. I agree wholeheartedly, Max. Not only is it soft it appears to nearly non-existent.
  2. Ozzie was quoted as saying at a recent presser that the Ravens would never sign a player with domestic violence on his record. So no-go for Ray.
  3. They need better team chemistry too. We could use a couple 'nasty' guys to go with our more mild-mannered ones.
  4. Oh. I misunderstood you. Thought you meant we might pick up Miller but now I see where you're at. Brain fog on my part.
  5. Not likely because Heath is retiring not getting cut.
  6. Cut him. Let some other team allow him his third strike. Sorry to see him go but it wouldn't be a good signal to the team to keep him after 2 infractions and a whopping 10 game suspension.
  7. Good article by Eisenberg: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Impact-Of-Joe-Flaccos-Contract-Has-Been-Overrated-Until-Now/c5ff9fdb-84c4-4d70-b322-cf2816cd2440
  8. With our cap mess they'd have to settle for a bag of chips and a coke to play here.
  9. Has our cap specialist been replaced? And what's with Oz and Steve when it comes to approving these deals? Talent and cap management used to be our forte. Now it's a blatant weakness.
  10. It's all about blowing smoke until about a week or two before the draft.
  11. A good reason to be wary of the big money free agents: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-former-ravens-dot-list-of-nfls-worst-contracts-20160217-story.html
  12. Well, that was sobering. I'd love to know PFF's ranking of all the WR's coming out of college this year but I guess you've got to subscribe to get that.
  13. If I remember right, Looney used to like sleeping in cemeterys too.
  14. He did and it worked well for Joe. He concentrated mainly on getting the ball out quickly along with some roll outs and bootlegs. That and the Castillo zone blocking scheme gave us our franchise record-breaking offense. Oh, and no major injuries on offense!
  15. Kubiak had to make his offense simpler for Peyton...That's what I've been saying. That's good coaching. Gee, I guess we'll have to agree to agree! Good night.
  16. I don't know Papa. I keep writing about coaching and you're talking quarterbacks.
  17. I didn't say Manning was why they won. He wasn't. But Kubes knew to reduce Manning's role while still letting him manage the game. That's why I give a ton of credit to Kubiak. And Wade Phillips. And you might not like him but Elway bolstered that defense.
  18. I concur T. The MASN contract to the O's was part of the deal when the Expos moved next door. Angelos should never have given that up and I don't think he will as long as he's alive.
  19. On the contrary, Kubiak adjusted by placing more emphasis on the ground game and defense during the season. And Kubes realized Manning was about done so he limited his throwing to safer, shorter patterns Then he topped it off with a Super Bowl win. I'd say that's pretty good head coaching.
  20. Broncos 17 Carolina 16 Manning's swan song. Plus they have Kubiak who has shown with us that he can adjust on the fly. Just a hunch.
