I didn't say Manning was why they won. He wasn't. But Kubes knew to reduce Manning's role while still letting him manage the game. That's why I give a ton of credit to Kubiak. And Wade Phillips. And you might not like him but Elway bolstered that defense.

I concur T. The MASN contract to the O's was part of the deal when the Expos moved next door. Angelos should never have given that up and I don't think he will as long as he's alive.

On the contrary, Kubiak adjusted by placing more emphasis on the ground game and defense during the season. And Kubes realized Manning was about done so he limited his throwing to safer, shorter patterns Then he topped it off with a Super Bowl win. I'd say that's pretty good head coaching.
