  1. His reaction, or lack thereof, was the nail in the coffin.
  2. it was also good to see Ngata actually do something.
  3. The offense was clicking like it did in pre-season so I think it might actually be something special if Joe can stay accurate in the short to medium range passes. It's amazing to me how he could look so off last week and then turn around and be super accurate last night. He was also making the quick throws which I didn't see the offense doing that much of last week. I'm rooting for Kubiak. The defense is a bend don't break defense. I've never liked that strategy. And it keeps them on the field too long. We've got to get the pressure on opposing quarterbacks like we did last night. Last week the pass rush got easily and repeatedly stuffed. Last night was the way it has to be to go deep this year. I don't think I'm a Dean Pees fan. Starting to wonder if Suggs' career is over. His absence has really been felt.
  4. I think Webby will be back against the Browns.
  5. That game was just the tonic I needed to get over this past week's problems. Great effort! Steve Smith, Owen Daniels, Joe Flacco and a stout defense won this game for the Ravens. One more thing. Rick Wagner is the real deal. He's better than solid. His pass protection and run blocking are both above average. I saw him a couple of times blocking linebackers after disposing of his lineman. Give Harbs credit too. I blamed him last week for not having his team ready to play. That was far from the case tonight. Glad I've got this game on my DVR.
  6. Totally agree and have no idea why they even came out throwing in the 1st quarter.
  7. Yeah but the team has some leverage over Flacco, By the time the third year is over and you go into the 4th year, his cap hit is higher than the dead money that would accrue. At that point they could trade him or cut him. There's no way they should take on a $28 million cap hit.
  8. This was on the front page of the Sun today. It's worth reading: http://eedition2.baltimoresun.com/Olive/ODE/BaltimoreSun/LandingPage/LandingPage.aspx?href=VEJTLzIwMTQvMDkvMDk.&pageno=MQ..&entity=QXIwMDEwMg..&view=ZW50aXR5
  9. I am not predicting what will happen Thursday night. We may get blown out. We may play tough. The latter would show a lot of character, especially if we could pull off a win.
  10. You are spot on., TBird. And I have no idea what was going through their minds when they left Harbs out to twist in the wind.
  11. Same here. And now his statue stands next to Johnny U. In front of M&T.
  12. Don't see any team that's going to ever want to take him on with this toxic environment.
  13. I grew up with the old Colts and, excepting for Irsay, never felt so embarrassed and let down by a local team. I don't think anyone or any organization acted appropriately and at the right time during this whole mess. Frankly, the NFL and the Ravens look just awful. I don't think the Ravens recover this year or next year as a winning franchise and I'm not just talking wins and losses. I'm talking about class and the lack of it too. One thing that has always bothered me about this team is the bad-ass image they seem to have cultivated. And now the chickens are coming to roost. It's a disgraceful day for the team, their loyal fans, and the City.
  14. I think you do IF he says no.
  15. That was certainly what was I remember being said at the time.
  16. Joe stunk out the joint in the first half. He looked really lost with the new offensive system. He was rushed a lot, true, but if had thought less and reacted more that wouldn't have mattered. That many drops kill too. I wasn't impressed with our D. NO pass rush just like last year. It's a bend not break defense and that means your defense is on the field a ton. I agree that Harbaugh didn't have team ready. Hell, he didn't have the team ready last year either. It looked like team-wide mediocrity. Offense, defense, and special teams. Joe and the O got together in the second half but it wasn't enough. And I'm now fed up with Dean Pees and his D's lack of aggression.
  17. Pardon me, I would reply but I have to jump off a bridge.
  18. Right! His blocking is much improved since last year but it's still a work in progress.
  19. Cox must feel like he's on a yo-yo.
  20. FWIW, the Ravens are favored by 1 1/2 points.
  21. I'm still waiting on Elam to show me why we drafted him in the first round 2 years ago.
  22. I agree with every line of your post. The Ravens are going to have prove it to me that they're any good.
