Sugg's certainly has the right stuff. If anybody can do it, he can: http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/2012/05/03/terrell-suggs-expects-to-play-in-2012/.

Thanks, Papa. I had been wondering about this.
-
Hey, thanks for the kind and mature words. If he's out for the season, its a killer for us. The only (wild) hope is that Sergio Kindle and Courtney Upshaw can pick up the slack.
-
Just read this quote from DeCosta on the Ravens website about why we didn't go after Mike Adams: Eric DeCosta: Mike Adams specifically was not a player of great interest to the Ravens because of off-field concerns. We always consider moving up based on scout opinions and coaching evaluations. We didn't see any tackles in this draft other than Kalil that we would have considered moving up to take in the first round.
-
I don't mind having Upshaw over Hightower as we picked up a potentially excellent player and anothe pick. But, I would have tried to trade up in the second round to get Konz. Maybe they did and there were no takers? I'm still scratching my head over the RB pick in the third. I had thought we were happy with Anthony Allen.
-
You're right he won't get that open but maybe the guy can get separation. Time will tell. Upshaw will be a beast if he keeps his head on straight. KO has a lot to prove but if he can play LG, I'd feel a lot more optimistic about this draft and the team in 2012.
-
Um, I know its the draft and he was taken in the 6th round and he is supposed to need some improvement in route running, but the highlight film of Tommy Streeter on the Ravens website was impressive. Check it out: . Besides being a speed burner who gets open it looks like he runs a nice Fade route for TDs.

Max, can we get this guy off our forum? He's a troll.
-
Thanks #2 Max for all the research and posting you did on this thread. Loved it!

Thanks #1 Max for telling this goof where to post.

I can't argue with you about Oz. He's been too successful in the past to stress me out too much. I'm just mystified with the RB pick. Gradkowski graded out pretty low from the NFL.com website. KO might work out as LG but we still have a ton of unknowns on the OL. As I said, the Steelers had a really good first two rounds.
-
Guys, I'm not impressed with our draft so far. We picked up an excellent OLB but we need help so badly on the offensive line side it hurts. I'm not sure Osemele is the answer after so many lineman went ahead of him. And why we picked a running back with the 3rd pick is a mystery to me. The Steelers have really developed their offensive line with this draft. I wish we had taken their picks. We definitely should have moved up in the second round to obtain a better lineman. Just my 2 cents, here.
-
I don't want to hijack Max's thread on this but as was mentioned over there, we should try and trade our 4th rounder to get 2 of the top 4 in the second round. Lets go get 'em, Ozzie!
-
I'd crap my pants if we got all three even if we wound up with no more picks.
-
Well we didn't get Hightower but I can live with that if we pick up a Guard or Center with the first pick tonight. Konz may be the best choice here because, maybe, he kills two birds with one stone: A guard for now since we're so desperate, and a Center to replace Birk after this season. It also is interesting that Mike Adams, OT, is still available as is Stephen Hill and Courtney Brown. The most pressing need though is G. It would be great to see Ozzie trade up in the second round to get two solid starters. There's a damned good guard available too but (I forgot his name) it looks like he's going to the Rams. As for what you said about Flacco, Max, all I can say after a dozen years of searching for one, I'd hate to see us lose such a good quarterback. I hope you're right and we keep him.
-
The more I think about this draft and all the holes we need to fill, the more I think this might be the most decisive draft the Ravens have had since the Super Bowl season. We have one desperate need: a starting OG, several need positions: C, ILB, FS, and LT, and two others we could use help at: WR and a pass rusher. I don't see how we can solve all these through the draft unless Ozzie pulls a miracle. Getting no one in free agency has really hurt us and I know its because of the cap but it is a major problem. And on top of all this it looks like we might not give Flacco a contract extension this season and where would that leave us next year? I'm not in the mood for this franchise to go quarterback hunting again. Will be very interesting to see how many holes we can fill over the next three days.

This was brought up on Bruce Cunningham's show yesterday
oldno82 replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I like Ray Rice for many reasons but this option does make me think of all the holes we could fill if it happened. I do think running backs are a short term commodity and trading back from that spot to get OL help makes sense. The caveat is, what would dealing RR do to the chemistry of this team? This isn't fantasy football after all. I'd stay conservative here and keep Rice. -
Its a tough schedule but we need to concentrate on improving our offensive line to have a realistic shot this year.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
-
They'll have to unless they can pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat in the draft.
-
Best Ravens' news since free agency started.
-
I think the defense will hold it together for one more year. We've got a good secondary now, the linebacking is good, and Ngata, McPhee, Jones, and Cody (I hope) will do their jobs. But after next year with Ray Lewis and Ed on the decline it will get harder.
-
They need to sign Ray Rice and Joe and free up cap space that way in time for training camp when hopefully they can add at least some depth to the offensive line.
-
Hopefully all on the offensive line.

That's what I'm feeling.
