  1. Ray just wants a championship.
  2. It looked like Birk got run over by a truck.
  3. What an opening play!! 52 yards!
  4. They need to pay the man and not let it linger.
  5. I'd hoped they would have gotten this settled in the pre-season...quote is from the Baltimore Sun via the Ravens' website: Flacco on contract negotiations as he heads into the season opener: "It is what it is. If they don't want me here anymore, I think it's their loss," Flacco said. "If I'm not good enough to be here, then that's the way it is. If I go out and perform the way I think I should this year, then I think I'm getting more expensive. Things are going to work out with the way we go out and play. It's not my job to worry about it." [The Baltimore Sun]
  6. The Steelers O-line looked pretty weak...Rothlessnuirbuger was under pressure a lot.
  7. Doesn't make sense to me, either. Another thing that puzzles and pisses me off, is they want to use Webb as their 2nd punt returner. Didn't they learn the lesson as to how valuable this guy is in the secondary?
  8. I don't know why they did this at this point...I think Osemele has a ton of potential and is already pretty good but the team seemed to be functioning very well with McKinnie at LT during the preseason. Moving these guys all around ALL the time isn't a great idea for building line chemistry. Ohrer didn't really show me as much as McKinnie did at the left tackle spot in preseason.
  9. You'll love Wegmans! They just opened one in Columbia and it has all kinds of things you can't find in one location anywhrere else.
  10. Well, to be honest, I never heard that before. Why did the Governor tell him to move?
  11. Absolutely right on the mark! You need AT LEAST 2 sources to confirm a story and now they just haul off and write what they 'think' is happening.
  12. Sad day for Baltimore. Art Modell singlehandedly brought the NFL back to our town. We tried the 'honorable' route by entering the expansion sweepstakes but that asshole Tagliabue awarded a team to Jacksonville. Now they don't even fill the stadium there. So Mr Tagliabue meet the Ravens...the 'museum' you suggested we build instead of a football team. Thanks, Art for so much joy!
  13. My memory fails me about the WNST reporter. I'm old. I think Aaron Wilson jumped the gun on the McKinnie story too.
  14. He can do it, its just that he can't do as well as what we've had in there before. A better than good LT and legitimate pass rusher are going to be needed in the off-season.
  15. This whole thing was handled very sloppily by both the Ravens (uncharacteristiclly) and McKinnie. The team should never have waited until the last week to spring this on McK. and McK. was stupid for tweeting his off the team message. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I hope it doesn't affect the team's preparations for the Bengals.
  16. Glad that firestorm got put to rest. Timing would have been brutal.
  17. Hmmm...he did take us to an overtime period when Rothlissebeargoer got hurt at one time. Other than that I don't know too much about him.
  18. I don't think Painter or Taylor is a viable answer. At best, Taylor is a number 3 and Painter does make too many bad decisions. But, honestly, I can't think of any backups who are available that would be worth going after.
  19. I dunno. I think a really good team ought to have at least an average backup. Wish we had Bulger...
  20. Too early to call him a bust but I haven't seen or heard him do anything positive so far. Looks like he might be a project at best and a bust at worst.
  21. I guess the bottom line is we don't have a competent backup who could help us win a couple of games and there's no one out there to do it who's available. A real weakness for a Super Bowl contender. If Joe gets hurt, Max is right. You can just kiss the season goodbye.
  22. It looks to me that the Ravens have a major need: a backup QB for Flacco who could at least guide the team competently if Joe got injured for a few weeks. Taylor and Painter aren't the answers. Are there any decent veteran QBs available? Hell, Chris Redman would be better than either of these two.
  23. Tucker is a pleasure to watch. He's so enthusiastic!
  24. If I remember right, he began missing from 40+ yards plus during last season.
