  1. I like the idea. It would make our defense stronger. The only thing is, I don't think it should be done in the middle of the season as a full time thing but situationally I think it is worth a try.
  2. Hey JT, you've got nothing to sigh about. The Bengals look great and Andy Dalton looks like the real thing. Now go beat the Steelers when their turn comes up!
  3. I sure as hell sweated through that game! Flacco was cold to start out as usual but really pumped up his game with the long balls that were dead on accurate. His INT was a poor play but I've seen even Manning and Brady have a few like that as well. Running game was decent. Rice is not a hammer and can't put yards on the ground to control the clock but he's a great breakaway and cutback runner. Torrey Smith showed me a lot and he also showed me the downside of the dreadlocks look but he's a playmaker and a keeper. Defense was inadequate until the last stand. Dalton had too much time to throw and his receivers were top notch against our DBs. The Bengals have a great offensive line when it comes to pass protection and Dalton is very talented. Now we've got to keep this wagon rolling Thanksgiving night. I really don't know which Ravens team will show up for that.
  4. Like you said, Max, the chances of us getting a better quarterback than Flacco are so low as to be almost impossible. We'd have to collapse totally to be able to draft a good one or be extremely lucky to find one late in the draft. Plus, I don't think we need a new qb. I just think we need an OC who can take advantage of the talents Joe has.
  5. At some point this franchise is going to have to face a future without Ray. This might gives us a preview of whats to come when he's not around anymore. Just wish it had happened when we didn't have to face the Bengals and Niners in a 4 day time span.
  6. I don't like Harb's "answers" either but I absolutely do not want to see a 'media war' on him. He's not anywhere near deserving of that even if he is a stonewaller.
  7. Papa, they do need a hammer...a tough runner who can get tough yardage. Jamal Lewis was such a guy. Unfortunately, these guys don't grow on trees. Ray needs more touches, I agree, but they can't run him into a wall 25 times a game like Lewis did.
  8. I agree with you, Max. NOW is the time for this team to step it up. If they lose both or even 1, I think they may be done so far as getting a home playoff game is concerned because I'm not at all sure Pittsburgh will lose again.
  9. Thanks, crav. I don't usually listen to sports radio.
  10. Harbaugh delivered a load of crap. He never seems to get it, at least in press conferences, that it makes him look stupid when he says what he did in that presser.
  11. Sorry to be stupid, papa, but who is Glen Clark? I really don't know.
  12. Yeah thats the truth!
  13. Frankly I'm just completely disgusted! There was absolutely no reason to abandon the run so early. Flacco had a poor day---if he had hit Smith on Boldin on those early deep passes the whole course of the game might have been different; Cam's playcalling yesterday just simply sucked. The Defense was firm at times but still it gave up way too much rushing yardage inside the tackles and Seattle's WRs were too open too much of the time. I have absolutely NO IDEA what this team is really made of and have no idea what to expect for the rest of the season. And finally, while I blame both the players and coaches, I hold the coaches most responsible for not getting the team psyched up to play against crappy competition (not letting the players especially veteran 'leaders' completely off the hook here either).

    Week 10

Thats what I've thought this year against our lower opponents. Don't know what happened here---we used to be ready week in and week out in his first 3 years. What gives???
  15. True. They get most of their rain over the winter months.
  16. Don't get too excited---its only for this week.
  17. No. Of course not...I just don't the Ravens feeling like we do.
  18. Read this on the Ravens website describing an interview with T. Sizzle and Bayless: "...The two went on to debate why other successful quarterbacks are allowed to have a bad game or two, but when Flacco does, it means he’s not good enough and his defense doesn’t trust him. Suggs pointed out that Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and Tony Romo have all had bad games this season, but they don’t get attacked in the same way..."
  19. Not that dumb when you see what happened to us against the Titans and Jaguars.
  20. I'm rooting for the Bengals as I think that gives us the best chance of a division title---at least it puts our destiny in our hands. Cincy has me worried when we play them but I'm hoping we bring our 'A' to that one and even Seattle. I want to see us rip the Seahawks.
  21. Thanks guys!
  22. You are sooooo right!
  23. OK OK guys. It WAS great but lets shoot for not having a letdown against the Seahawks and Bengals the next 2 weeks.
  24. As long as we're confessing, I didn't think we were going to win going into this game. But am I glad I was wrong.
  25. Cam did well but it is hard to determine if he was calling the plays during the 2 minute drill or if it was Joe. BTW Flacco looks SO comfortable in that shotgun.
