  1. ""We're in a position where we know it's gonna be a lot of work. It's not gonna be easy and we're gonna have to roll our sleeves up and get dirty." Mark Andrews Campbell: “The way I trained, I feel like I’m going to have a big year, (that) I’m going to dominate.” Jamison Hensley on Twitter “It’s the start of Ravens training camp: Day 1 Under Armour Performance Center 2:35 PM practice 86 degrees (20% rain) John Harbaugh, Rashod Bateman, Marlon Humphrey & Kevin Zeitler talk after practice Even virtually, Ravens must pass 'pure death' conditioning test - Baltimore Ravens Blog- ESPN Jamison Hensley • TweetShift BOT — Today at 10:40 AM Ravens announced they've placed G Ben Cleveland on the Non-Football Injury list (which usually indicates not passing the conditioning test). Baltimore also signed WR Bailey Gaither. amison Hensley • TweetShift BOT — Yesterday at 2:15 PM Lamar Jackson has practiced the past three days with the rookies. It looks like Gus won't be ready for Week 1 but we'll see. Stanley we should know about relatively soon. I think JK will be ready week 1. He's pissed off. Boyle???? He has to prove himself again. He's lost weight and the Ravens could really use him. Jeff Zrebiec • TweetShift BOT — Yesterday at 2:11 PM RB Gus Edwards is in question for Week 1, but Ravens are optimistic about other guys on PUP. Rookie 4th round TE Charlie Kolar is dealing with what could be sports hernia. He’s still being evaluated but expectation is he’ll miss some time. David Ojabo still hasn’t signed deal. OK...We've got Ravens Football...until February!
  2. Conditioning test today.........Even virtually, Ravens must pass 'pure death' conditioning test - Baltimore Ravens Blog- ESPN
  3. Ravens rookie LB David Ojabo remains unsigned, holding out of training camp (nfl.com)
  4. 14 days until the Ravens 1st practice. It's been a long off season. Projected Roster from The Sun: Quarterback (2): Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley Running back (4): J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Tyler Badie, Justice Hill Wide receiver (4): Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay, James Proche II, Tylan Wallace Tight end/fullback (5): Mark Andrews, Patrick Ricard, Nick Boyle, Charlie Kolar, Isaiah Likely Offensive tackle (4): Ronnie Stanley, Morgan Moses, Ja’Wuan James, Daniel Faalele Interior offensive line (6): Patrick Mekari, Tyler Linderbaum, Kevin Zeitler, Ben Cleveland, Tyre Phillips, Ben Powers Defense Defensive line (6): Calais Campbell, Michael Pierce, Justin Madubuike, Broderick Washington, Brent Urban, Travis Jones Outside linebacker (5): Tyus Bowser, Odafe Oweh, Justin Houston, Daelin Hayes, Vince Biegel Inside linebacker (4): Patrick Queen, Josh Bynes, Malik Harrison, Kristian Welch Cornerback (6): Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, Brandon Stephens, Kyle Fuller, Jalyn Armour-Davis, Damarion “Pepe” Williams Safety (4): Marcus Williams, Chuck Clark, Kyle Hamilton, Geno Stone Special teams Specialists (3): Justin Tucker, Jordan Stout, Nick Moore Projecting the Ravens’ 53-man roster: With Justin Houston’s return, here’s where team stands entering training camp – Baltimore Sun With the signing of Houston, the Ravens have filled all their holes. Weaknesses remain. Most definitely. Yet all teams have weaknesses. That goes with the Age of Parity and the CAP. I not sure if Hill makes this roster. Mike Davis may replace him. I think a surprise UFA WR makes the roster. I think Phillips wins the LG spot. OLB is weak with Bowsers return to 100% uncertain. He's really needed, and Hayes must emerge as an unknown pleasant surprise. We can go to war with this bunch.
  5. Lamar was in the MVP conversation before he got hurt last year. He has a .755 career winning percentage. He's really damn good yet it's hard to find him in the TOP QB rankings. Namath is a HOF QB who has more career INT's than TD's. The Morons call him great. Completion percentage of 50% and 62-63 record! He stunk!
  6. From Harbaugh's presser today: “Ronnie’s ankle is looking great,” Harbaugh continued. “Ronnie’s mission now will be to get in the best shape of his life."
  7. Lamar's added 12 pounds of muscle. He's up from 208 to 220. He said he feels great. Urban said he looks great. "Physically, he looks imposing," Quarterbacks Coach James Urban said. "This is a game built for big, strong, fast men. I think he's checking three of those boxes right now." Here he is training. SpenceFit on Instagram: “Speed kills @new_era8 Work ethic has been on a different level #SpenceFit “I don’t own rights to this music”” Harbaugh was vague about JK and Gus when saying, "They all have a chance (to return by camp.)" Faalele's conditioning is not holding up to the grind, speed and tempo of Ravens practices. He is the biggest player in the NFL and he went right from playing to getting ready for the draft. He's got 6 weeks to get in better condition. He's developmental player at this stage. He was getting beat like a drum in practice from what I hear. I also hear that he's very athletic for his size and it shows. He could be as good as Brown. “Rashod Bateman and James Proche. Bateman says, “We’re all tired of the Lamar slander.” Proche called the media disrespect of Jackson “barbaric.” “There’s only been one of him in this league,” Proche said.”
  8. Lamar has bulked up. I don't know how this affects his running. I hear he shows no signs of the foot injury.
  9. You can subscribe to Jeff and The Athletic for $1 a month. Well worth it. We should get a lot of news today through Thursday and Friday then we have that long wait until the end of July for Training camp. I'm soaking up as much as I can.
  10. Good post and I agree with you. Until JK and Gus return, I think Davis and Badie will fill in way better than the over the hill bunch from last year. Every team has weaknesses. Heath and player development will determine how well the Ravens fill theirs. I believe the glass is way more than 1/2 full and it is full of pleasant surprises if we look. The Ravens have many players who are set to make their mark this season.
  11. This is a very good article.... My Spin: Too many leaders sitting quietly when they should be outraged about Jan. 6 events (msn.com)
  12. I know...it's May 14th. it's Vegas. I like this purple Kool Aid for breakfast! The final Ravens record, according to Las Vegas: 12-4-1 Ravens’ opening odds for (almost) every game of the 2022 season - Baltimore Beatdown
  13. I agree. Go ahead. Stack the box. Let's play Bully Ball.
  14. this is some good food for thought. They stack the box every game and the Ravens haven't been able to burn them even with Brown. There is no replacement for Brown and his procution this year. The FA WR market has no options. Therefore the Ravens have to build a passing game with the players they have signed. I see 50/50 run pass ratio. It was 60/40 in 2019. They will use 2-3 TE's, passing and running, to beat up the LB's and safeties. Bateman is the possession chain mover. Duverney occasional deep threat. Split receptions among Proche, Dobbind and Ricard. Something like that and my gut is getting bigger....
  15. It was a good draft for the Jets. Good off season moves.. How and why? Joe Douglas. Scout for the Ravens is now their GM. I expect another "Ravens North" situation just like when the Eagles raided the Ravens coaches, scouts and FO. All that aside, Wilson and all his help will not suddenly turn good in his 1st week. He has a ways to go from 3-10. Peters, Humphrey, Williams, Hamilton and Ohweh will feast. The Ravens spend all of camp getting ready for week 1. After last years loss to the Raiders and all the adversity that followed they will be on fire. ason will not be a trap game for the Ravens. They prepare for opening day all off season. Harbaugh will have them ready.
  16. Then Jets were 4-13 last year. Their defense gave up a league worst 39.6 points per game. We'll be OK. October...4 B's...Bills Bengals, Browns, Bucs...tough stretch. Then 3 AFC road games in Dec and Jan...3 on the road. Not fair! Right now...until I know that Stanley, Boyle, Dobbins, Peters, Gus and Humphrey will be ready and 100% opening day I see a 9-8 Ravens team. Get them back healthy and... Eye see 11-6.
  17. Our roots as Baltimore Football fans.
  18. The Ravens have made a good haul of UDFA's. 6 receivers in that group. they should find one player there. Preston says the season comes down to this now: "The success of the Ravens’ draft class and 2022 season will be determined by how well the team’s medical and training staff can rehabilitate and return their top players to the field." Mike Preston: Ravens’ draft deserves praise, but 2022 season will be determined by player health | COMMENTARY – Baltimore Sun
  19. Here's a really good read by Peter King. He was inside the Ravens War Room on Day 3 of the draft. Great inside look at Eric and how the choices unfolded during the 4th round. Peter King goes inside Baltimore Ravens’ war room at the 2022 NFL Draft (msn.com)
  20. Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter “DeCosta said Ravens would add WRs in UDFA. A few reported agreements w/2021 stats Emeka Emezie (N.C. State): 60 catches-802 yds-6 TDs Makai Polk (https://t.co/Ecf4juU9vF): 105-1,045 yds-9 Tds Devon Williams (Oregon): 35-557 yds-4 TDs Trevon Clark (Cal): 33-658-4 TDs” List of potential Ravens UFA's so far....Rumor Mill: Ravens Undrafted Free Agents Tracker 2022 (baltimoreravens.com) Lot of LB's and WR's.
  21. I was reading an "Experts" opinion on the punters who were drafted, and I realized he had no idea what he was talking about. We know how badly Mel Kiper misses. So, I'm taking all these "A's" that the Ravens got for their draft as compliments.... possible good forebodings... yet "Let's wait and see." Yea....It's Over Reaction Sunday yet nevertheless the Ravens got all A's: Ravens earn valedictorian grades for 2022 draft class (msn.com)
  22. I thought the Ravens had an excellent draft. Certainly, some players won't pan out. That happens to every team every year. The Raven came into the draft with a massive list of needs, and it was never possible to address all of them. That does not make this a poor draft. They have until week 1 of the season to get more talent. In the end, it will be up to the coaches to make their units excellent with the players they have on hand. This is every year. With this draft, and with Lamar, the Ravens now have a Super Bowl window of at least 2 years.
