  1. OK...I'll stay open minded. Like I said...I'm all for good strong competition.
  2. It's a 'no brainer' for me. If today I'm picking players for a brand new team, then I have to take Joe over Rthsslxxssbrrgrrr as my QB of the future. I don't have any hesitation pulling that switch.
  3. I like bringing in the competition but remember...this guy couldn't win a starting job with the Steelers, Eagles and Colts.

  5. Rthsslsxxbrrgrrr never had a string of 4 straight playoff wins like Joe. The Steelers won those SB's despite Ben....with the Refs help. A Tebow led Bronco team defeated the Steelers in their last playoff game and Rthsslxxbrrgrr interceptions and poor judgment caused the Steelers to miss the playoffs last year. Joe has the better arm and accuracy. He has no injury history while Ben can't make it through a season. At this time Joe is ascending and Rthsslxxbrrgrr is descending and he has passed Ben as the better QB.
  6. We like it.
  7. It's 'a positive' that he's made those statements. He hasn't done that in the past. I'll believe it when I see that he is following through on the off season conditioning workouts. He can achieve those goals, but he needs trainer support and structure to do it.
  8. The Ravens were doing that in the playoffs.
  9. Wow. What a joke. Let's take a peek at this panel of experts....
  10. I feel like I'm reading this thread again.... http://forums.extremeravens.com/topic/8387-thank-god-ben-will-be-back-next-week/
  11. but at least they drafted their QB of the future...Power Rankings... 19.Pittsburgh Steelers Just like the Ravens, the Steelers have had their roster depleted with cap casualties and free agency departures, but unlike the Ravens, the Steelers have done little to fill the voids and plan for the future. It could be a long year in Pittsburgh. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/brian-billick-post-draft-nfl-power-rankings-050713
  12. Finding Boldin's replacement can not happen this year. All they have is a long shot chance that somebody on the roster can pick up the slack. Boldin only had 4 TD catches in the regular season, but he was a chain mover. They can manufacture a lot of that in other ways. Boldin went off the charts in the playoffs. We see 'that guy' because he was incredible. That can not be replaced by anybody who I see on the roster or the FA scrap heap.
  13. When he scores a touchdown they should play polka music...like "Roll out the Barrel!"
  14. I knew by the thread title that you found somebody that you want Steve to spend his hard earned money on. Didn't he play on Mexico's Team?
  15. You have to read the whole article....at one time his family was living in a car.... http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-brandon-williams-0505-20130504,0,5312869.story
  16. OK....we don't have Ray coming out of the tunnel this year, but the next best thing might be Brandon coming out walking on his hands.
  17. We haven't talked about Williams much but I'm impressed. I think the Ravens have a steal here....a player with "the Right Stuff"...a Raven. Love this guys attitude and from the video he looks to be in great shape too (hear that Cody?!)
  18. Here's a video of the rookies working out... http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/First-Look-At-Ravens-Rookies-In-Action/49ef1fc5-97cd-4db4-b1ed-538f60a889ea
  19. This is a solid move... Defense is back! Enough can not be said about how important coaching is for developing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year players. That's how you stay deep and competitive. Depth and development carried last years defense through 587 injuries....to the final Super Bowl goal line stand.
  20. More than paragraphs! You've seen what I can do to a sentence. And WORDS!!! I have new ways of spelling they are not wanting you to know!
  21. Who needs an excuse? Once you reach dirty old man status it's a great place to hang out.
  22. The mileage toll keeps adding up. I wish he would have retired for his own welfare. When he's 40 he'll feel 55. I hope he has a perfect recovery...You da man Ed!
  23. The problem is that he played insane, inspired football because of a dead girlfriend. What do the Chargers come up with to get him to play at that level again?
