Here's what's at stake... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81c2d42c/article/playoff-picture-2011?module=HP11_content_stream I got chills looking at it.
Yea but... ...the Ravens were playing without Jimmy Smith, Foxworth, Carr, Reed, Grubbs, Zibokowsky and Evans The Ravens could very well see them in the playoffs.
Somebody give Quin the smelling salts... The Texans are good...I'll give them that. I had my eye on that 5 point lead...the Ravens settling for field goals instead of TD's. I thought that wasn't going to get it. But...the Ravens are better than them. They are missing some big players too in Grubbs, Smith, Reed and Evans.
OH! One more thing on Joe Flacco... He really is 'Our Guy'...meaning Baltimore claimed Ripkin who really lived up 95 in Aberdean and Joe just lives a little further up. He has the accent...just listen to his pizza commercials. He 'Local' Folks! He's our guy. It's time to surrender and embrace him...as he is... because he's 10 times better than what we've seen under center in a Ravens uniform since we got this franchize. And this is comming from a fan who wanted to come out of the stands in the second quarter to throw cold water on him to wake him up. Look...there are periods of time where Joe just has other things on his mind than the game! OK. But eventually, in a quarter or two, he comes back and realizes where he is and that "OH!...I need to do something!" Hey...there's not too many guys on the planet who can do what he does. Think about it. Bottom line...this team wins...consistently. "Thanks!"
4-1...bring on the Jags. There's a lot of football left and a lot can happen, but it's beginning to look like the road ahead for the Ravens is wide open. Not nervous anymore... The offense finally showed up in the second half against a very good Houston defense. Joe "I'm on valium" Flacco drove me crazy in the first half. Friggn'n crazy. He took the fans out of the game for awhile. When he set up the Texans go ahead TD I actually wanted to see Tyrod Taylor for a second....because I thought Joe was playing with no fire or passion. Then Wide Awake Joe showed up in the second half. Torey Smith has a 28ypc....3 for 84. And what a day for Bouldin! 8 for 132! Joe is never going to be Elite, but he's the best QB the Ravens have ever had and they can consistently win with him. I'll take it after over a decade of suffering while watching Ravens QB's. Keep Joe forever or until they somehow luck into somebody better....that probably means forever. It was Ray Rice that got the train rolling. When all seems to be heading down the shitter, just get the ball in Ray's hands. He can carry the offense. "Don't forget about me!" Great job Billy and THANK YOU RAVENS DEFENSE!!!! Going nowhere without you.
Until I see more from the offense, the only way the Ravens win is if the D plays like they do for 60 minutes...they were whooped and gasping for air the whole 2nd half last year.
"Look...it's my job to worry around here. All the experts pick the Ravens to win..." http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks You don't think that bothers me! Being a parent will do this to you.
This is just too hard to believe! Fans and the media have been quietly thinking it's turf toe...the same thing that ended Ogdens career. It's a career killer...just ask Deon. Grubbs deserves better than this. He's the best pulling guard on the team...seriously good, and while Girode can fill in, he can't play LG near as well as Grubbs. Evans? It looks like the Ravens signed damaged goods. He's not playing...not even close to playing.
and the Ravens only put up 253 yards last year...shut out in the second half... I don't know how fans think this will be a walk in the park. well...I don't see how they can match or beat the physicalcality of the Ravens but Manning can dream.
