  1. The Jets will take you!
  2. What's the Ravens CAP situation now? My guess it's around $27 mil to spend on signing their own + some FA's????? LOL! Listening to 105.7...every Raven who may leave they say the Jets will take him...the CAP broke Jets! I've heard Ray, Bart, Cmac, Leonard going there from this station. Sure...they'll give Rex the hometown discount and sign for the vet minimum because that's all the money the Jets can afford. OK...my read....Ozzie's getting his CAP money in order to sign Brown, Suggs, Ray, Leonard ect....here comes the big offer for Ray. He still can't keep all of them. I'm real worried about losing Brown.
  3. I think most of us thought he would be a CAP cut. He missed 18 games in the last 2 years. He's 32 and comming off knee surgery....the Ravens can't afford to tie up close to $10 mil on him this year with all the key players they have to sign. This is a sad day for me....I'm a huge McAlister fan....he can still play corner but a move to safety would prolong his career.
  4. Then he'll need more money when the ocean swallows that up due to global warming.
  5. Before steroids, they never won shit. Fact...plain and simple. You can bet Rooney knew about it and turned his head the other way.
  6. Maclin won't be around when the Ravens pick but here's a list of prospects... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ...ex.html?eref=T1
  7. If you don't think they are a joke then take a look at ESPN's and USAToday's pre season power rankings from last year.... They are soooooooooo far off! http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nf...er-rankings.htm http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking...amp;season=2008 ESPN.com's Power Rankings The rankings were determined by a poll of ESPN.com's NFL staff: writers John Clayton, Matt Mosley, Pat Yasinskas, Bill Williamson, James Walker, Kevin Seifert, Paul Kuharsky and Mike Sando; and Scouts Inc. Insiders Jeremy Green and Matt Williamson.
  8. Here's more speculation on the Ravens off season plan... I still feel Suggs and Brown are #1 & 2 on the need list....of course I want Ray, Bart, Koch, and Leonard also... I heard Rod Woodson in his interview with Suggs keep saying the Ravens will tag him (on NFL.com)....that is a very real senario. The rumor on Ray is that he wants a $20 mil signing bonus...the Ravens are offering $15-17. It looks like the Ravens will part ways with CMac saving $8 mil. It's tight, but the funds are there to keep most of these players (but not all). I don't see a ton of CAP space getting tied up with Leonard, Koch and Landry. Any and all of these guys may hit the market to find their value and Brown is the one I worry about as far as getting offered crazy money for his position. We've seen it happen before with Pashos and Weaver. Ozzie needs to put the squeeze on Jason...offer him a great "One Time/TODAY" contract with it being withdrawn if Brown goes to market. Money has to be ear marked for the draft picks...yea....it's tight. "Who knows if I'll be back..."
  9. Getting Kelly and Dwan back is huge. "Great News!"
  10. What a bj that was! Ravens win the SB then..."oh!...sorry...for some bizarre reason which is beyond explanation they don't get the first game of the year." "Get your nose out of my arm pit David."
  11. This is very hard for me to call or get a read on. At the moment, I don't think the market will be as insane for Ray as many think. By that I mean his price and signing bonus won't be astronomical. It will be high...top 5 MLB money...but not "Highest paid/new record" type money. If he gets...let's say a #5 MLB money offer...that isn't so scary. Steve can match or beat that. I'm more worried about what he has left in the tank. 'Last chance at big money' will make a man hide a lot of weaknesses. Ray may not be worth '#5 MLB' money. Like I said...I can't get a read on this. It's also possible teams who want to shake their loser team mentalities and get a strong character field general....teams who desperately need to change the locker room, attitudes and passion will pay heavily for his services. It's a toss up. Actually, all it takes is 1 team willing to over spend on Ray to force the Ravens to over spend if they want him that badly. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nf...owl-notes_N.htm

    lol

Do you see that TD by McLain in the Pro Bowl! Vintage Cam Cameron call. I love watching the Pro Bowl every year. Yea...the game is secondary to the beautiful shots of Hawaii, the player interviews ect. I like watching the Pro Bowl Ravens (and our coaching staff) and then some of the great plays in an obviously laid back game. Fitzgerald...what a talent! As for Ray...he looks real slow today.
  13. Three thoughts and a question... 1. Will Tavaris Gooden translate into a soild NFL LB? The jury is out...hell, he couldn't even make it through camp. 2. I doubt the Ravens will go for the big name Free Agent this year. They will sign their own big name players if they can. No Bouldin, no Peppers, no Dunta Robinson.... 3. They can not afford to carry the high CAP hit these players will cost into the future. Not if they want to keep Ngata, Gaither,... even Flacco is due in two years I think...didn't he sign only a 3 year deal? Are we going young or old?
  14. So where's "Build a Museum" Tagalong?...not in the Hall of Fame this year! Voters are having lots of second thoughts on that loser.
  15. There were a ton of exciting plays and turning points last year. Watching the Ravens offense grow and evolve with all the new formations, wrinkles and gadgets was so refreshing for me. To see Flacco catch a pass from Smith out of the "Suggs package" was a gas and sent the message that this is not the same old Raven offense. How about Ed Reed's streak of INT's when he caught fire or Ngata's deflected pass and INT in the endzone? The fake field goal in Dallas... Joe Plantania from Press Box lists 15 game changing plays in this article... http://www.pressboxonline.com/story.cfm?id=4652 What were some of your favorites?
  16. Interesting...from my good friend Don Banks...
  17. crav...need I remind you?....
  18. This is solid Cleveland logic. I mean...hire a HC (who Jets players turned off)...then hire a token GM......so getting rid of your scouts on February 6th makes perfect sense! Following this train of logic... they will use the fan mock drafts from the ESPN Brownie board.
  19. Sounds like heresey from a Ray Lewis fan....I have guilt/shame all over me for saying this about a "once in several decades" player. I want Ray to get his final contract here, but only after Jason Brown and Suggs are locked up. We are in the business side of football and with that...hard choices. Here's a hard choice...of the 3 who do you franchise? The game is won in the trenches and Suggs and Brown are young guys and very solid players with a lot of football ahead of them. The O line is starting to come together and Jason's loss would hurt. Fromcbssportsline...
  20. "Only not as Cleveland Browns." Get out your hankies when you read this... http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/...uper_bowls.html
  21. What the hell..why not! We can knock the bad taste out early.
  22. No we didn't...we did not behave...not there....but for the most part people didn't get hurt. The word is that it's actually dangerous in the infield now...blame the morons who caused this...not Pimlico.
  23. Roll Over Beethovan by Electric Light Orchestra.
  24. LOL! The Jets are around 14 mil over the CAP Ray.....look elsewhere.
