  1. Out of character because it shows how desperate they are at TE. Gilmore had 2 surgeries and Boyle has a 10 game suspension. The were in need of a strong verteran performer. Ravens will now cough up a comp pick which Ozzie hates but he'll probably have more than anyone,
  2. This mock from nfl.com has Stanley going to Bears @ # 11. That's out of top 10. It has Ravens drafting Buckner which would be great. Oz would have to take the BPA there and try to sign Okung. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000642027/article/fourround-mock-draft-30-hackenbergobrien-reunion
  3. He hasn't drafted a Lt since JO left or not a good one. We got Gaither with the supplemental draft, then he signed Fat Mac, then he signed Monroe at LT. The other good linemen were Grubbs was a #1 pick at LG and one of the best and Yanda was picked later and is the best RT in the game. Mullitalo was after the 1st round and one of the best LGs. But if a Buckner and Jack are there, they would have to draft the BPA. They're higher than Stanley, or at least Buckner is but Stanley would enable us to forget about the left side while protecting Joe who was pressured and sack a lot last year and got his first injury that knocked him out.
  4. Damn, that means Stanly # @ 6 unless they sign this Okung guy. Raiders always bite themselves anyway. Like I said, KO getting that kind of money and he's never even played a full season at LT and he's often injured.
  5. Younger guys like Brandon Williams was called the 2d best pocket rusher in the game last year after losing Ngata and CJ Mosley is a new cornerstone to the defense and missed rookie of year by just 7 votesl Not bad and Ozzie would have a couple more rings if his dumb coaches had't lost some playoffs with all th.e talent he gave them. SI and Peter King said they would win SB 50 before the season started but then 80% of the team ended up on the injured list. That's a lot of talent. Ozzie has his missed like Kindle, Oher, Cody, Cody, and Elam but far less than most GMs. Phil Savage said on Nasty's show at the Barn that I look into the audience and see a lot of Heap, Ogden, Ray Lewis and Jamal Lewis jerseys but we didn't know they would be the stars they became when we drafted them. We hoped they would but had no guarantees. A few years ago I posted a link that said Ozzie had more players still playing than any other GM. It was something like 80% after losing guys like AD, Bart Scott, JJ, Hartwell, Rabach,Jamie Sharper, Ellerbe, McPhee, Kruger, Torrey Smith, etc to the free agency.
  6. How fans forget-lol. Ozzie got a SB ring just 36 months ago drafting near or at the bottom of draft and he would have two more rings from the last two SBs had it not been for all those injuries and some bad luck. He took it to NE with a deleted secondary beating Piss in the wild card game with Melvin just picked off the street. It took the best QB and coach and a lot of cheating, trickery and bending of the rules to beat that secondary on the way to the SB. Ozzie had guys he drafted like #1 pick Jimmy Smith out and Webb injured before that. He has beaten NE in NE in February more than anyway. That' some pretty good drafting. His Flacco/Rice draft is historic like his JO/Ray class. How many GMs have that? Not many. He also made the SB with the likes of 3 of the greatest at teir positions of Suggs,Ngata, and Reed plus standouts Yanda and Ellerbe who won SB 47 blitzing KAP at the end forcing him to over throw Crabtree in the end zone.mm not to mention the guys he signed like Boldin and Pollard and McPhee.
  7. I didn't know that. It bothered me that Ray Berry went there a lot. He used to write Manning when he was young and told him what he and Unitas used to do. Manning wrote back and then had him standing on the side lines during games. He even went to some big parties out there. I know Arty hated Indy and the old timers would never go, or most of them. Shula went out to be inducted to their Ring and he took John Mackey with him. He did that to get even since we ran him out of town for losing SB 3. I didn't now about Gino. Fuck him. I also hated Berry for presenting the SB trophy to the winners when the game was in Indy. He was on the radio here during that week, 105.7 fm talking about what a great honor it was. He knew most of us still here didn't like him doing that but he didn't care.
  8. Ravens are justifiably excited about who will be there at #6 and they feel like they will have 3 first round picks at the end of the day. Of course the first is the 6th pick of the draft and the following should be there like a Ramsey or Hargreaves @ CB, couple of pass rushers like a Buckner, Bosa or Jack or LT Ronnie Stanley if KO leaves, then Perriman will be like a #1 pick since he was out this year, and then they get the 36th pick. HARBs said we've never talked about the players we're talking about now because we always drafted so low. You really don't want to be at #6 but once there you reach in the grab bag. I say these players they're talking about will turn things around next year and take them to the Playoffs along with Perriman coming back. See all the impact players taken at the 36th pick since 08. Half of them went to the pro bowl. “There’s no doubt [he’s like another first-round pick],” DeCosta said. “I think Breshad is really going to open eyes this year and show people what he can do. His skillset, the type of kid he is, his ability – we’re excited to see him on the field this year.” http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Feel-Like-They-Have-Three-First-Round-Picks/820c225a-684f-46ae-9bf7-a0ffe3ab8e71
  9. The only thing I lost was 10 mins of my life I'll never get back for arguing with a child. Shame on me.
  10. Hey Crave - Don't think you'll like what he says here. He loved it in Indy and is still there with his own show on the Colts. Said players got a break leaving the city after all the fighting between it and the team. He played 10 yrs. http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2013-01-03/sports/bs-sp-catching-up-krauss-20130102_1_baltimore-colts-barry-krauss-ravens
  11. LOL - Krauss was a security guard while playing ball. They still made more than the rest of us. Bruce Laird graduated from college the same year as me in 1970 and bitched because he only made $20,000 pr yr and got an $8,000 signing bonus. My first job was making $6500 pr yr, the average salary then, so he made a lot more for playing a game and I got no signing bonus doing real work with a real supervisor breathing down my back and I better not be 5 mins late to work. My first car was $7800. My current car cost $30,000 on a fixed income. But $20,000 was enough for an entire year. Barry Krauss was drafted because he won the bowl game stopping Penn State cold near the goal line for Alabama but never did a thing for the Colts. See the stop here. OUCH!
  12. LOL - just carry on child. I won, I won, I won. LOL
  13. It was reported. It's how TMZ gets all it's slime on people. The casino was closing so a guy in the security dept had a copy and broke the law selling it to TMZ. The vid belonged to the Casino, they didn't release it. LOL - Your artwork is better than your monologs. You're getting desperate but carry on like a child, child.
  14. ILMAO - Most people know that a #1 pick is needed for Week 1 despite the position. Another fact you don't know is our last WR drafted did well as a rookie and he wasn't even a #1 pick. Torrey Smith had 841 yards as a rookie with 16.8 pr catch. Not bad. http://www.nfl.com/player/torreysmith/2495459/careerstats Im pretty sure Perriman who is even faster would have done better. It would have been a better lineup in Week 1 with SR, Perriman and Aiken than what they had. TMZ produces slime which is what they did to Rice. They hurt him and got it first because someone in security called them. The Casino was closing so he was already losing his job. He got a bundle for it. EVen a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. BTW, with SF doing so bad this year Torrey had 600 yards receiving but made millions doing it. But keep trolling w/o the facts, just slime.
  15. A #1 draft pick WR would have done better, who just happened to be one of the fastest men in the draft. He would have been a lot better than what we had. Aiken stepped up but SR went out like so many others. So you don't think that a #1 pick would do well. How smart. TMZ is known as a rag and scab and once again without details on a story. They didn't even try to hurry it up to find any.
  16. Just like your slimy rag sheet, you omit the facts here because in trolling you don't love the Ravens and try to make them look bad but there were 8 players out on offense for Week 1 in Denver alone and 2 on defense. Here's a detailed list of names. So that's 10 of 22 players right there and it still took a dropped pass by SR for us to lose in the last second of the game. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Reach-Record-Number-Of-Players-On-Injured-Reserve-In-John-Harbaugh-Era/b13d9c11-26a3-4102-abf8-ffde6a307f95
  17. They never got their #1 draft pick on the field, not during camp at all. They never got their best TE on the field. He's been out for 2 years - Pitta. Their best LT was injured after the first series and has been injured for the last 2 yrs and they had to go with an undrafted LT from the year before who got manhandled in NE last February. Their Center was out and his backup Urschel was playing. The offensive line failed to protect Flacco, who was hit hit on 17 of his 34 dropbacks (50 percent). That's tied for the second-highest percentage in Flacco's eight-year career. Many players went out after Monroe including a Ref who got 9 broken ribs. That's a lot of players out for the opener and look at all those guys on offense. With Torrey gone and Perriman out SR was the only 1s string WR we had with the o-line hurting.
  18. Most of us were saying that we'd be lucky to win 1 of the first 7 games which were brutal. We lost but played played hard and kept it close with all them guys out.
  19. LOL - Keep trolling with the slimey TMZ reports. It's dumb ass to file a report w/o any details. That's what makes it a slimy rag sheet. I said at the top we don't know the facts yet and TMZ is a rag sheet scorned by the entire country so that's what you get for using it. ILMAO I used The Sun. And no big deal, it was in all caps. That makes it a big deal. You were gloating and happy over it. Big headlines but no story to it. Smurf didn't even no why.
  20. Maybe his old pal Von will be glad to help Dooooooom out. Tongue in cheek. It's huge when any team doesn't have it's #1 draft pick regardless of position. Perriman would have done better than what we had. That's for sure.
  21. Yea, like Von Miller. There's no way Ravens sign him and keep KO too. I think. They might still have enough room for a lesser FA with a discount. Even KO has to give them a home team discount to keep him according to Bryan McFarland, CAP expert on RSR.
  22. Westminister was great for me when I retired. Had some place to go every day. I'd get there early and plunk a chair down by the corner of the end zone by the steps. Fan Man and the Bus Boys from Nest 1 were over by the trees so we barb be cued. You had to get there really early like 0700 to get a good spot or there was a lot of walking - ALL UP HILL. One day Fassel walked up the steps by me and he signed my SB 35 hat so I got both coaches on it plus Ozzie's when he walked pass me. So I say coach, when are you going to teach Boller how to stop telegraphing his throws. He says what makes you think that. I said Reed had 2 INTs yesterday and you could tell he was just following his eyes. He locks down or stares at his receivers. I tell my girl friend which plays he's calling from our seats and I taught her how to do it. Even you knew he was going to throw the interceptions before he did and were yelling at him, no, no, not there. He threw them there. Jim said well, you're wrong. He's not telegraphing his throws. I said OK coach if you say so and laughed my ass off but I always wondered why he was leaving and getting in his car when his unit was inside the gym eating lunch. Nobody left practice except Fassil. Anyway, Comcast had Fassil and Boller wired at the next practice and Fassil said we have to work on telegraphing your throws. It's pretty bad when a fan describes to me in detail how you're telegraphing. Bingo! I got the Ravens to at least to try to coach him out of it but he never did. He was still starring at his receivers like I do the slightly dressed female bar tenders at Looneys in BelAir. Fassil was fired during that season too and Billick called the plays. The secretaries said he was always on the phone when they took stuff into his office. That day I saw him, he was probably going to make a call about a head coaching job-lol. But that's how I remember the practices. One day Jamal was in front of me and SAGE from TV 45 back then tried to but in to get an interview. I said come on Sage, I'm trying to get his autograph and she ignored me and shouted a question to Jamal. He ignored her and signed for me anyway and all the others til he was done. What a guy. I never watch that bitch on TV, never did at 45 or on ESPN. One day Mike Flynn walked over and I said Mike, you had the best moves of the day walking across with the gorgeous chick and he said yea man. Then there was the day I was walking on the field next to the gym. It was an hour after practice and nobody was there as I took pics and a voice yelled at me, get the hell off that field. I turned around and it was Billick. I said sorry about the coach, as security ran over to get me. I said how about a pic and he said sure. Got a great pic of us. I took it to a Roost bull roast the following year to get him to sign it since he was the main speaker but he never showed up. Bisciotti called him and invited to go to the Terps game and sent his car to pick him up. Meanwhile there are 2,000 fans waiting for Billick to show up. He was royally booed at College Park when they introduced him on the PA system. He deserved it. His real fans were up in Bmore waiting for him to arrive for them. He got what he deserved. Ed Reed and Ray loved to stay long and sign for everyone and Ed loved picking up babies and having his pic taken with them. The proud fathers were besides themselves. Same with Ray and Heap. Some players didnt sign for men, only kids and women. I was by the fence and McNair walked by and I'm yelling Steve, Steve while holding my hat out but he refused to sign for any of the guys until he heard a woman call him over and he walked over and signed hats for her kids. Then I was as first one at the fence trying to get Joe's sign. Had everyone's but his and he wouldn't even look at me that bastard. I was close enough to him to hit him in the side of the head and knock him out and I would have gone to prison and be the most hated man in Baltimore and I sure felt like it. There was a lot of pushing and shoving down by the fence. I got closterphobic. After getting Ray to sign my SB 35 hat I turned around and said excuse me but this fat guy wouldn't budge. He kept pushing me back to the fence trying to get Ray's sign and so did everyone else behind him. I was getting panicky so final I hit him in the stomach and pushed him down and yelled get out of the way the next time someone asks you. Ray saw it too and walked away from everyone. Everyone behind me stepped aside after that. Back to Fassil, he was a nice guy. He talked to me and some guys on the old RN2 board, now Aaron's board went to an Indy game. They left the air port terminal and were waiting for a taxi. Fassil was standing nearbyand they kept staring at him and said are you coach and he said yea just as his limo pulled up. He said hop in and I'll give you a ride to your hotel. He was great. He was the SB35 losing coach of course when 911 occurred and he adopt 11 kids whose father was killed as a firemen in that bldg. He paid for all their educational and medical bills for the rest of their lives. Too bad he couldnt straighten Boller out.
  23. Yea, I'm sure that's the case if KO leaves. He's bound to get higher offers than the Ravens have. Get one of these other serviceable guys so they don't have to draft Stanley and get a playmaker at #6 but I wouldn't be surprised if they draft Stanley because they can plug him into LT and then forget about it. That doesn't happen to much.
