  1. I take Nolans 2002-2004 Ds and Mattison 2009-10 Ds over Rexs D in 2005 and 2007. Rexs 2008 D was pretty much the same, leaving only his 2006 D as the better. Btw does injuries makes an impact, I think so, 2006 with none of that. This year; Fox, Reed, Cody, Kindle and Kruger.. and it was not an ideal TC for Webb and Fabian. Lots of keys injuries on D in 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. The difference is that in the last three seasons it has not hurt us as much, thanks to Harbs and Cams improved offense? I liked Rex, but I believe his impact here is overrated. And frankly I was ready to move on in 2007. And I still believe the addition of Chuck Pagano helped him in 2008. Bend and don't break.. Well our best CB is hurt.
  2. And next wawe.. Moss, Ward, Johnson, Owens, Harrison, Wayne, Holt, Steve Smith Carolina... And now Fitz and Andre Johnson. Mason is not going to make it, two Probowls, only one PB as a WR, this is not the formula of a HOF candidate.
  3. Good thing though, they did eventually their job those dear zebras! I wonder if Buffalo agrees, likely not.
  4. Somehow it is amazing. We had so many great plays, and so many ugly plays, I find it hard to remember that I ever have witness a such unlike Ravens performence, anyway not that ended with a win. Flacco/McGahee fumble or the best play their flea flicker to Boldin.. and btw hard to enjoy that play, while Heap went down. Josh Wilsons two key plays a Fumble lost, Fumble recovery. Ray Lewis and Ed Reeds big plays or the same defense who gave up so much.
  5. We are not 2-5.. 5-2 and its not like we have had an easy schedule.. we are 2-1 in 3 away games against Jets, Steelers and Pats who ranks in top five in almost all powerrankings, and yes we did allow Brady to get his win. I am also concerned here; 6. This team doent know how to "step on the opponents throat" after taking a huge lead. No answer what to do? Playcalling? Joe? OL without Gaithers pounds. Pats games last five drives nada, Bills last five drives same thing! 7. The pass rush/ defense is becoming increasingly more suspect with each week. Agreed. Redding is not really good, JJ has lost a step, McClain and Ellerbe is not improving, Kruger and Kindles injuries, shit happends.. And please where is the fat man! Rice and the runninggame were not very good last year in september-october, improved and a force since, hope and believe they will do that again. Secondary is okay, sure we need that kind of player C-mac was once, we do have 5-6 decent CB and five decent safeties, they are not elite, but pretty good. One area you miss.. penalties, we have actually improved at that point!
  6. Sigh. Sure this was an ugly win, but a win. Give Bills some credit, give Reeds freelancing some blame, Fabians offday, and give a general mental team low some blame, first half was not happening.. what have they been doing saturday? Anyway they were not ready to go. I did not see so terrible tackles against better team for a long time. Better today when we win anyway. This is not Ravens football 2010, end of story. I wonder how the fans reacted when Testaverde did the same and more.. in 2000! 481 passing yards against the best ever D! Btw how did that weak D react.. four wins and a bowl. My concern is not the D.. (Eventually, not this year). When we are leading late with ten points, Cam-Flacco whatever refuse to play football, this is my complain, and why are the runninggame not dominating when we need it to be.. this is not Ravens football, it has been going on for some while.
  7. Agreed.. His D has been doing a lot better than I expected.. this game was the only diaster. We have just so much talent, and our CB situation was and possible still is alarming with out Fox, Injuries to Kindle and Kruger is not helping. And JJ is he the same as last season?

    Ravens stats

Comebacks to Reed and BA, and Kruger too.
  22. Ravens notes from Bills gameday. Top 2 Bills Advantages Good advantage – Pass defense – The Bills have an experienced secondary that’s capable of breaking out with takeaways at any time. Buffalo is surrendering less than 150 yards of passing offense a game to rank 10th in the league. Baltimore has improved their talent level at receiver, but the Bills have capable coverage defenders. Best advantage - Kick return – Buffalo’s 12th ranked return unit with C.J. Spiller can be an intimidating group and Baltimore has had their share of problems. The Ravens are allowing more than 27 yards per kick return ranking 27th in the NFL (Edit: 27 kickoffs only allowed one big one.. a 60 yarder against Cincy, we have been playing against the leagues 2,3,6,8,30,32 kickreturning units.. number 30 was that cincy man, and 32 the only one I really fear.. Cribbs. A total of 10 returns and we allow the fewest kick return yards in the league.. so much for the advantage Bills migth like here thanks to..) Big leg Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff has always had a big leg, but that leg strength has been especially effective on kickoffs this season. No other kicker in the league has a better touchback percentage than Cundiff, who already has a NFL best 14 touchbacks on 25 kickoffs. It has helped to keep the average drive start of opponents to less than the 24-yard line (23.9), which is seventh best in the league. Cundiff needs just two more touchbacks to set the franchise mark for touchbacks in a season. Stingy ‘D’ The Baltimore defense has had a reputation for being a stifling unit that shuts the door on opponents. Over each of the past two seasons the Ravens have ranked third in the league in points allowed (16.3 and 15.3). This year is proving no different. Through the season’s first six weeks, the Ravens are allowing 15.8 points per game, good for the second best in the NFL. To illustrate just how stingy Baltimore has been on defense, they have yet to surrender a touchdown off a turnover. Of their nine giveaways this season the Ravens have surrendered all of nine points (3 FGs). They also have the league’s third best red zone defense allowing touchdowns just over 35 percent of the time (35.3%). Ravens nest Baltimore has proven to be a tough side to top when they’re playing at home. Since 2000, they own the NFL’s third-best regular season home record going 60-22 in that span. The Ravens will go into Sunday’s game with a five-game winning streak at M&T Bank Stadium stretching back to last year. They also put more points on the board on their home turf. In their last four home games the Ravens have averaged 33.5 points per game, and under head coach John Harbaugh when Baltimore scores at least 24 points they’re 18-1. (Edit; Oh should have been 19-0... remember Minnesota and Hauchka.) Final note Since 2008, the Ravens have allowed an average of 11.6 points per game at home, the NFL’s best mark. more.. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3/Gameday-Tipsheet---Week-7/dc817375-d030-4d5c-aaca-5bd69e1c720f
  23. And surprise #32 in ST.. football outsiders, by a large margin!
  24. After 6 games last year, there were fewer targets, and he was on track to pass for + 4000 yards. An easier schedule, not really we were 3-3. Nice distribution, and not only Mason and Rice: Mason 381 yards Clayton 270 Heap 262 KW 267 others mostly Rice; 465

    Read this...

What a genius; Then, almost at the same moment, your Ravens coaching staff decided to let Brady try and win the game, rushing four players, at most. Have the Ravens coaches ever watched film of Brady? You beat Brady the same way you ruffled his feathers in the first half: You send bodies after him. It was our standard package that hurt us not the dime, or 3 and fewer passrushers. Numbers from Filmstudy. The Patriots ran 72 offensive plays excluding Brady’s kneel.
