  1. I'm leaning towards Jim at this point. It's a pity we didn't fire Cam earlier and gave Jim more games to prove himself.
  2. Papa, do you have the next lottery numbers? Or maybe you could tell me that the number 9 will not be one of them.
  3. It was PI but there is Omar Brown around the ball again. He needs to see the field more next season.
  4. Or in their opinion it was horse collar like. It was a horse collar plain and simple and if the Ravens D had done that the zebras have a competition to see who can throw their flags the furthest.
  5. Was that the plane crash in Moscow?
  6. I always wanted us to spend a pick on him from about the 5th round on. I really thought he could have learned a lot from Ray. I can't believe we didn't take a punt in the 7th on him.
  7. I also think that we have a lot of other areas we need to address so picking up a QB in a weak QB class isn't ideal. Giving Joe another season under the tag and a new OC will allow us to finally see what he has and make a decision for the 2014 draft when there might be better options.
  8. I did mean Connecticut here but I was also thinking of Columbine again as I was typing my message which only emphasises my point even further.
  9. Crav, to be honest that isn't really all of it. There are a multitude of reasons why they don't like Americans and a lot of them are to do with the American stereotype of being loud and obnoxious even though that isn't a proper reflection of you guys. I would even venture that some of it is jealousy. For everything that you have got wrong (eg.guns) there is a lot more you have got right and I guess some of these nations and their people would love to have some of the freedoms and luxuries that you are afforded. I sure would love your gas/diesel prices and there are many other examples of American greatness. I think what puts a lot of people off is being reminded of your country's greatness at every turn. If I may use the NFL as an example. While the Patriots were winning all those Superbowls and going undefeated etc. you either loved them or hated them. The media was constantly reminding us of how great the Patriots were etc. In other words they were throwing it in our faces 24/7. That is kind of how the rest of the world sees America as a whole. You are the Patriots and the rest of us are the 31 other NFL teams and their fans trying to be the best and we hate you for being the top. Ok, it's not quite as simple as that but hopefully you catch my drift. That said, I have never met an American I didn't like and I would hope they would say the same about me.
  10. First and foremost this is a tragedy and all our thoughts and prayers should be with the families that lost a child/brother/sister/mother/father etc. I'm not American but I can't believe your forefathers envisaged this when they wrote the 2nd amendment that the gun advocates are hiding behind. Where I live, it seems the only people who have guns are law enforcement and bad people. Shootings are very rare. Murders still happen more than we would like but I have yet to have the experience of a massacre such as what has just happened in Colorado. We probably still have the same % of loonies in our country as you do but they don't have access to the guns so they can't kill on the same level.

I watch a lot of pac football and Skov is a good one. I think he picked up an injury at the end of last season so hasn't been 100% this year. Seems to be a leader as well and the rest of the Furd D fed of him emotionally. If we could get him in the 2nd that would be a steal and allow us to go OT/S/DE in the 1st.
  12. Nor should he be fined. It shouldn't even have been a flag.
  13. Papa, I seem to recall you predicting we would go 8-8 or close to it the last few seasons. We went much better than that. Told you so.
  14. Could we start a collection for a "Bounty" on Manning? Knocking him out of the game might be our only chance.
  15. That's just it crav, you are going to have to pay out at least twice that in a signing bonus on a long term contract. This way we get a show me year and Joe gets a chance to prove he is worth elite money. If we give him top 10 money now and it turns out it was his fault and not Cam's the salary cap hit will hurt us bad for a couple of years. I just don't feel we are at a point to either give up on Joe and start again with a rookie or throw big money at him. The franchise tag is expensive but it gives us much more flexibility and less risk. It's a roll of the dice if we try the alternatives.
  16. Well, I see us franchising Joe and seeing what he has got next season with a new OC whether that be Caldwell or A N Other. If it doesn't work out then we lose nothing and haven't invested a big contract in Joe. This is very much a show me what you have got year and a bit for Joe.
  17. What about taking a knee with 29 seconds left at the end of the game and a timeout. That was worse. We only needed to go 30 yards to give Tucker a shot. No, instead we go to overtime against a team with all the momentum. Oh well, bye bye Cam.
  18. And if we go to and win a superbowl this year then Harbs gets another 8 years just like Billick. I don't really care how this season ends now, we have made strides to get better. I still don't like Pees but I'm willing to give him a shot next season with a healthy Suggs to see what he has got.
  19. I thought he had turned the corner when he moved upstairs and our schemes seemed to be working better. We actually generated a decent pass rush today. But....... A 3 man line on the 2 point conversion with the Ngata and McPhee lined up over the OTs is the worst formation in the history of goal line formations that I have ever saw. Our LBs were lined up 2 yards deep in the endzone and dropped further back when the ball was snapped. Seriously, max on his hospital bed could have ran that one in for the 2 points. He should be fired for that one play call. Belicheat fired him and now so should we. Lesson to be learned, don't feed off Bill's scraps as he is canning them for a reason.
  20. Anyone else think Pees should be fired? Seriously, on that 2 point conversion we had a 3 man front spread wide. A blind man and his guide dog could of run a QB draw into the endzone on that formation. We all wanted Mattison and his 3 man rushes gone a couple of seasons ago and Pees should be next. What this team needs is to miss the playoffs and make coordinator changes on both sides of the ball or we are never getting to the Superbowl.
  21. To the Adams Family tune: Your sister is your mother, Your cousin is your brother, We all love one another, The Pittsburgh family. Da da da da, dum dum.
  22. Getting fired can be a humbling experience. I'm sure the players would love Rex back. I sure can't take watching Pees weak ass blitz schemes for another season. Rex was able to disguise blitzes that really helped when the front 3 or 4 weren't able to generate pressure on their own which has been a problem for years.
  23. I was hoping this was going to be a discussion about taking Rex Ryan back as DC when he gets fired in NY at the end of the season.
  24. I have nothing against Harbs. It's Cam and Pees that I have the problem with and if harbs doesn't do something about them in the offseason then he deserves the fans backlash then.
  25. At this point we shouldn't be talking playoffs either not with how bad we looked yesterday.
