They traded olb robinson for felix jones. while he isn't a starter he will be depth and make the stable even more versitile. Robinson was an udfa who has some upside but hasnt looked this year like he did last year and with the emergence of alan baxter was expendable.

When heathy he is a legitimate nfl back who has a 4.8 ypc average and is a one cut back perfect for our zone blocking scheme. He is better the the back yinz got for reed.

They have a stable of different backs that all bring something to the table. He wasn't brought here to be the starter but a specialist. I still have faith in Dwyer until bell gets back. A variety of backs gives us a lot of different things we can do.

I once knew a horse trainer who had a stable of horses, and every day he'd tell me where hed be running these horses, after about 6 months of feeding these nags by me, I gave up betting "his stable"

Well tonight Jones looks to be a great pick up for what the Steelers gave up. Maybe he just needed a change of scenery

Hey I'm going off his performance tonight having no practice and picking up 30 yards on 8 carries with a 15 yarder called back due to a hold ten yards behind the play

And the coaches must have been impressed as well considering he didn't take one snap after the starters went out. Remember we gave up a olb that wasn't going to make the team so if Jones gets 500 yards this year or a few tds we come out way ahead.

15 rushes for 32 yards for 2.1 ypc...oh...1 fumble.

This is for the whole game...not 1 quarter. Titans were 24th against the run last year BTW.

 

And....The Titans gave up more points than any team in the NFL last season.

Yeah it's going to be rough with all the injuries that occured yesterday. Bell should be back this week but without Pouncey in the center I just don't see this line doing anything at all to help.

Yeah I completely agree with him as well. With this oline if they don't have a threat of run Ben's going to get killed. I major problem I had and this is with Haley if you are averaging 1 yard a carry why try play action. I can't stand that.

Hey this is what is wrong with the owner saying the OC sucks and having him fired. Then putting in a new OC that doesn't the parts to run his offense makes for disaster.

Haley at this point seems a little predictable. The play action long ball to open the game was a shock but after that you could see what was coming.

Yeah I agree BA played to the Steelers strengths. Case in point when Ben was suspended the Steelers pounded the rock 30+ times a game.

Hopefully Haley figures it out but I think he is on extremely thin ice and unless something drastic changes may be out before the season is over. The Steelers wanted Kirby to take over but he wasn't ready because of the fire so their guy is just sitting there. It would be awesome if he took some from BA and some from Haley and I think that would be the perfect offense for the Steelers. Haley was brought in to fix the run and it's worse.
