vmax Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Dickson has just three catches for 25 yards this season. According to PFF, Dickson has dropped 57 percent of the catchable passes thrown his way, the worst percentage in the NFL. Lardarius Webb and Marlon Brown both 'look good.' Deonte Thompson to go through concussion protocol. Veteran wide receiver Jacoby Jones will return to the practice field this week after missing the last three games with a knee injury. Jones suffered a reported medial collateral ligament sprain in the season opener when rookie safety Brynden Trawick crashed into him as he was trying to fair catch a punt.Jones had not practiced since the injury, but now the Ravens could get the valuable receiving and return threat back in the lineup depending on how he responds to the practice reps.“We’ll see how he does this week with that,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday.Rookie linebacker Arthur Brown will also return to the practice field this week after missing the last two games with a pectoral injury he suffered against Cleveland. The Ravens also received some positive news about cornerback Lardarius Webb and wide receiver Marlon Brown, who left Sunday’s game with hamstring strains. Harbaugh said they both “looked good” Monday morning.http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Jacoby-Jones-To-Return-To-Practice-Injury-Updates/bc1bc64a-c3de-450e-81c6-00f11555b487 Quote
Oldschool739 Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger....I know it's just a saying, but there is some truth to it also.... Embarrassing games like this tend to wake players and coaches up and they realize that they have to give it their all to win in this league or this will happen again. It's time for Harbs to go total ape on these slackers on the oline, TE, and secondary....Let them know he has some pink slips in his office and he ain't afraid to use them... I believe he will and we will be fine....Be happy you aren't the Giants or Steelers right now, we are in good position as long as we address and correct these deficiencies.... It's all good, my brothers.... Goooo Ravens !!!! Quote
cravnravn Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Actually, there's a lot of blame to go around. Its not on any one player's or unit's shoulders---its a team problem. Joe had a lousy game. The offensive line looks weak. Castillo's run blocking scheme is in tatters. Dickson and Clark are not the answers at tight end. Frankly we don't have a tight end who is any good and like was mentioned above, if Furstenburg isn't as good or better than these guys why do we have him on the team at all. The secondary is still suspect but getting better. The D-line is OK and so are the LBs. The game plans on offense have been poor. The offense won't get going until the blocking improves and the run game starts moving. Joe won't succeed without play action and a running game. Joe is not Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. Never was and never will be. But he was good enough to take us through the toughest teams in the league during the playoffs last year and win the Super Bowl. The only redeeming feature at this point is that the AFC North is a mess. As big or a bigger mess than us. Actually, there's a lot of blame to go around. RavenMad Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Why is everyone freaking out? We have 2 or 3 of these types of games every season. The O-Line always looks like a mess but they eventually get it sorted. I just wish we could sort out the stupid penalties. It seems like our guys come up with new ways every game to get a flag thrown on them. Some of them were crap calls but for once I would like to see Harbs chew out a player who commits a needles penalty and tells him to take a seat for the rest of the game. The personal foul penalties are drive killers. Quote
cravnravn Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Well Mad Man, the penalties are a direct reflect of the coaches, are we an undisciplined team? 1 Quote
Oldschool739 Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Juan Castillo......looming problem...He is sandlot level at best....Needs to Go....Pink slip him for the good of the team, it needs to be done....Then give Caldy, Cams playbook, because his sucks....But we are in first place in the division, and a few changes could keep us there....JJ is back at practice this week, one bright spot. Goooo Ravens.....You can do it !!!! Quote
