Money Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Makes the Monroe signing all more important... who knows if that would have impacted the negotiations Doubtful. The Raiders certainly didn't impact Arizona's ability to sign Veldheer at a good price. Veldheer and Monroe were looking for the right situation along with fair deals (which still happen to be millions of dollars).
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Except the deal fell apart now and not 2 days ago.
colincac Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 In complete agreement with everyone here that Monroe never would've gone to Oakland and any bid by them wouldn't have pushed his price up.
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I can see him leveraging a deal he would never take to get a better offer from the castle. How many times have the O's been used that way?
