tsylvester Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Wow, after all the hub-bub of how great he was going to be there, especially this season since he would (finally) be healthy, they trade him to the J-E-T-S, for a conditional pick next year (from a 2nd to a 4th) http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/11718459/seattle-seahawks-trade-percy-harvin-new-york-jets He must be a problem child to get traded twice... A refresher of what Seattle gave up for him- the Vikings received the Seahawks' first and seventh-round picks in 2013 and a third-round selection in 2014. The Seahawks then signed Harvin to a six-year, $67 million contract with $25 million of guaranteed money. Good luck Jets,,, likely another bad move by their inept GM... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The Jets have nothing but bad GM's. Rex never had a shot. Quote
colincac Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Not actually a bad move by the Jets. They had tons of cap space (the bad move was not spending the money this summer), and actually reports are now that it is only a 4th-6th rounder. In addition, they could cut him after this year with no cap repercussions. Pretty low-risk. Quote
RavenMad Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 All the reports I have seen are PH is a piece of shit and locker room cancer. He gave Golden Tate a black eye before the superbowl and then when Wilson chewed him out he snapped and tried to fight with his QB. So he should fit right in with the train check in NY. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 The Jets completely win on this. They avoid the bonus pay almost nothing on the picks compensation. It is the best decision a GM has made there in a very long time. Quote
cravnravn Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) Forgot the most important part jets have as good a chance as the Stealers at making the playoffs Edited October 18, 2014 by cravnravn Quote
papasmurfbell Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Yeah I think so. Rooney's pushing out Arians has been a disaster. I am not sure how much longer he would have gone without getting a HC job but he could have left the framework for success behind. Quote
