REEDPIXOFF Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 How exactly does one get traded before midnight? Ravens are interested in Chargers TE Brandon Manumaleuna Quote
thundercleetz Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Like I said, just rumors. Teams are allowed to talk, nothing can become official until midnight. Quote
ForceEight Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Walter to Ravens picking up. Marshall doesn't look like much of an option right now. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/04/walter-to-ravens-chatter-picks-up/ Quote
SpearSrai Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Cromartie is a Jet, so this argument can die. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/04/antonio-cromartie-is-headed-to-the-jets/ Say whaaaaaaaaat? Quote
REEDPIXOFF Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Peter King:The Ravens are worried about giving WR Brandon Marshall real money, so they'll focus on Houston's Walter or Arizona's Boldin at wideout. If they can afford to pay Boldin there's no reason not to go after him. Quote
SpearSrai Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Okay, so it's nearly official. Boldin and Walter will be Ravens. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Cromartie is a Jet, so this argument can die. http://profootballta...ed-to-the-jets/ The Jets stole Crom, a 3rd rd pick in NEXT years draft,,Jimminychristmas.. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Okay, so it's nearly official. Boldin and Walter will be Ravens. Link! I've seen nothing official... Quote
ForceEight Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Link! I've seen nothing official...Because he's being silly. Burleson got FIVE YEARS and $25 MILLION from the Lions. And I thought Schwartz knew what he was doing. Chargers let go of Kassim Osgood. He says he's visiting an East Coast team today that will give him a "legit shot". Obviously no superstar, but I can see them looking at him. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I swear sometimes I think these 'experts' are just trolling our boards for info Peter King = Crav Quote
RavenMad Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 McGahee + a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Cromartie = FAIL. The Chargers will do well to get a 2nd round pick on its own for Cromartie. I would be in favour of the move if it was McGahee and a 5th or 6th round pick but nothing more. I hate to quote my own post....ok I actually love it. Cromartie went for a 2011 3rd round pick with the potential of it turning into a 2nd round pick depending on Cromartie's and the Jets' performance. I think I nailed his trade value spot on. Also it looks as though we are not going anywhere near Marshall. Disappointing but then at least we get to watch the first night of the draft with some interest. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 HaHa I got your Peter King You make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside Crav. Good morning! Let's hope the Ravens do atleast something today. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Oh yeah Grubbs..You know Ive set the alarm for 3am, to see what the Brass is doing..Man I hope Im not disapointed.. Quote
ForceEight Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Free agency isn't the end-all, Crav. I wouldn't be surprised at all if nothing of major importance really happened at the castle today, or all weekend, for that matter. You know Ozzie likes the draft. You know they won't overpay for anyone (otherwise, Marshall would already be here). You just have to wait until training camp to get the full view of what they want to do for 2010. Just enjoy it. cravnravn Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 What are you kidding me KS..FA is better than the draft, its as good as opening day..You're time is coming..Max is a wreck this AM. Boldin will be a Raven, Im feeling it. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I'm sorry but this year I will be disappointed if we don't come out of this FA period with a solid WR. Quote
varaven45 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I'm sorry but this year I will be disappointed if we don't come out of this FA period with a solid WR. Quote
varaven45 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I'm sorry but this year I will be disappointed if we don't come out of this FA period with a solid WR. Grubber, Brace yourself for disappointment. I would be surprised we do anything. But hell, who knows.Ozzie, surpise me, please ! Quote
ForceEight Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 We tried to trade for Owens in October: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/05/source-two-teams-are-interested-in-to/ Quote
thundercleetz Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Like I said, if the Boldin and Marshall moves fall through, TO could be a desparate signing for us. Quote
ForceEight Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Marshall is supposedly already over with. They don't want to give him actual money. Quote
thundercleetz Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Marshall is supposedly already over with. They don't want to give him actual money. Yeah, I heard that. Even with all of his off-the-field baggage, the guy is one of the best receivers in the league easily. Pay him the money. If they are not going to pay Marshall, how are they going to justify paying a 29-year old, often injured, Anquan Boldin? The bottom line is that we need a #1 receiver, and if Ozzie is not going to pay either Marshall or Boldin, we will be in big trouble. Quote
thundercleetz Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Heck, Nate Burleson got 5-years, $25 million with $11 million guaranteed. What is that going to entitle Kevin Walter, who is a better player than Burleson, to? You might as well go all the way and pay big money to Boldin or Marshall than overpay for a #2 receiver in Walter. Quote
