thundercleetz Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I'll gladly take a lower draft pick for a Steelers sweep. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Where do we stand now in the draft order? Quote

oldno82 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 That still gives us 3 out of the first 71 picks in the draft. Surely Ozzie can do some magic with that, can't he? Quote
TBird Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 Highest he's ever drafted thus far. A win next week would drop us another spot or two but should still be in top 10. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Hey maybe by next week they will be picking outside the top 10. Quote
cravnravn Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hey maybe by next week they will be picking outside the top 10. So you're suggesting we tank next week? That's the prime ingredient for getting coaches fired and players cut. For as shitty of year it has been, there was no quit, 19 players on IR, and still no quit from this team. Quote

GrubberRaven Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Could be playing their third string QB Quote
thundercleetz Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 No way I want to lose to the Bengals four straight. I'll take the lower draft pick. We need to win. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I have been saying to bench vets for weeks. Only play guys with little or no experience. Quote
TBird Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Mikie is right of course but it's a moot point anyway. We've been losing to Cinci a lotlately even with a full force, so there's no chance of dropping below the 7th pick ofthe draft unless Cinci of course, tanks it like Piss did. They never showed up. Didn't even show up, same as Ravens in Miami in 07 and that gotBillick fired but this game means nothing to anyone except in the draft order for the Ravens. Sunday's win may have saved HARBs job which is why you shouldn't tank it. You're professionals andget paid to win at the highest level but some things just can't be helped when you're in this situation. I'd be pissed if we dropped out of the top 10 in the draft order Sunday because 1 player with a top 7pick like a CB or pass rusher could be all the difference in the world in getting back to the playoffs next year. papasmurfbell Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 It means something to Cincy. This is for first seed. Quote

Pitt made a bad halftime adjustment, first half they rushed 11 times for 99 yards, 2nd half they went away from the run all together. I don't think they tanked, our adjustments were just better then theirs. Quote

thundercleetz Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Ramsey or Treadwell. I don't care if it's early for Treadwell, he's a stud. Hope he runs a good 40 so we can nab him at 6. I am sure Ramsey will be gone. Ramsey will be a star too. Quote
oldno82 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Well the season sucked big time. Now we're looking at the draft and you guys are talking about players I like. Who should we shoot for in free agency and will they be able to renegotiate Joe's contract? And if KO is gone, who's going to protect Joe's blindside? Quote
TBird Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Peace in the Valley. Man, these were 4 of the worse months of my life. Radio said Ravens lost 14 games by 1 play in the final minutes of each game. They justcouldn't close them out. Guy said even with all the injuries they weren't the reason forthe losses. Well, 80% doesn't help you win and with pro bowlers out like Suggs, Joe, Forsett plusall the others out. Hey 82 - Remember in 1960, Colts only had to win 1 of 4 final games to get into the POs.They beat Bears in Chicago but half their team was injured. A guy named Ball held Unitasby his arms while their DE Atkins came by and said just hold him there and I'll whack him andhe did. It looked like a tag team wrestling match. Lenny Moore said Unitas should have died but still played. They stuck mud in his nostrils tostop the bleeding. He had a concussion and blood down his face. Then from his own 35 he throws a bomb to Lenny Moore who jumped over two DBs and caughtthe ball in the end zone for the game winning TD. Halas called it the greatest play he ever saw.He didn't even tell the refs that Moore should have been penalized for running out of bounds andthen back on the field in front of their bench because the play was so good for football he let itstand. But that was the game Halas had a $500 bounty to knock Unitas out to break his record of mostconsecutive TDs. Ball and Atkins tried to collect the reward money but failed. We only had to win one last game but they beat up the Colts so bad they lost all 4 games. UGH! Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 They won more without Joe and Justin. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 They won more without Joe and Justin. No they didn't...Schaub won one and Mallet won one...Joe won 3 Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Joe won 3 in 10 games. That is a .300 win percentage. Without Joe they won 2 in 6 games. That is a .333 win percentage. Do you really want to argue math? Quote
