i don't get it....

The San Diego Chargers' impasse with rookie defensive end Joey Bosa doesn't appear to have a resolution in sight.

The Chargers withdrew their latest contract offer to the defensive end and said in a release Wednesday the No. 3 overall pick in April's NFL draft is in jeopardy of missing regular-season games.

"We gave Joey's representatives our best offer last night, which was rejected today. The offer that we extended was for Joey to contribute during all 16 games and beyond. Joey's ability to contribute for an entire rookie season now has been jeopardized by the valuable time he has missed with his coaches and his teammates. Since Joey will not report at this time, his ability to produce not just early in the season, but throughout the entire season, has been negatively impacted.

"As a result, we will restructure our offer since Joey will be unable to contribute for the full 16 game season without the adequate time on the practice field, in the classroom, and in preseason games."..http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/chargers-withdraw-best-offer-to-bosa/ar-BBw0Ao0?li=BBnb7Kz

At this rate he's not going to be of much help. That negates the value of being the 3rd pick.

If I'm a teammate I'm thinking he's selfish and please stay home.

Or...San Diego is trying to give him a raw deal and look good.

I don't get it.

He's screwing himself....

The San Diego Chargers are going to win this Joey Bosa thing anyway. They didn’t have to sucker punch him the way they did Wednesday.

Bosa has no real leverage in his contract dispute with the team that picked him No. 3 overall in April. Yeah, technically he could sit out a year and go back into the draft, but that doesn’t make any sense. The current dispute is, in part, about Bosa not wanting to wait until March to get his full signing bonus. Sit out the year, and he’d have to wait until June to get any money at all. And it’s pretty doubtful anyone would take him as high as No. 3 after he spent a year not playing, which means he’d end up with less than what he’s being offered right now. Under the new collective bargaining agreement, with the rookie wage scale and slotted salaries for rookies, Bosa can’t make money by holding out. He can only lose it.

So we all know how this will end. What the Chargers did Wednesday, issuing a public statement detailing aspects of their offer and promising to reduce it because they can no longer count on having him for a full 16-game season this year, amounts to bullying. And it speaks to a hard line they had no cause to take at the start of a relationship with a player this important to their future...http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/211356/chargers-had-no-reason-to-bully-joey-bosa-in-public

Players don't get into another player's wallet... With that said, if anything, if his "plan" works, it opens the door for his teammates to get all of rheir signing bonus up front, contrary to the way the Chargers have done.

He is just following his father's lead, who also held out, though in a different NFL.

He is a fool for this, what is the difference between millions now vs millions first of thd year? Either way it is millions.

It is not as if he will be cut next off season, unless he plans on going Manzel durring the season or after the season.

Frankly, I think he will be a bust and was so happy the Ravens dis not get a chance ro draft him..
