papasmurfbell Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/07/18/pft-preseason-power-rankings-no-16-baltimore-ravens/ But they need more touchdowns after ranking 21st in scoring. Joe Flacco didn’t have one of his best seasons, with 20 touchdowns, 15 interceptions and an 83.5 passer rating, but now more than a year away from reconstructive knee surgery, he should be more comfortable. The offense, though, still lacks playmakers with only Jeremy Maclin and Danny Woodhead added to the mix. That will make it difficult on the Ravens to get done what they want to get done this season. vmax Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 That's a fair ranking. They definitely have to "Show Me" they know how to win and that they are a playoff caliber team.And...They just might! Quote
varaven45 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I'd like to see PFT and rest of the media bury us in the 20s somewhere. I'd much rather there be lower expectations and work our way up to the top. Quote
oldno82 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Sounds about right to me. We'll be competitive but we'll be better in one more year after we fix the OL. I don't see that happening this year. Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 who was the know it all that had the Cards as the #1 team last season? Quote
varaven45 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Probably Peter King - the same guy who had us winning it all 2 years ago Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Probably Peter King - the same guy who had us winning it all 2 years ago It was these guys and the NFL Network guys King picked one Super Bowl winner in 100 years and that made him god Quote
vmax Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 I have to say that after hearing the rookies reported to camp yesterday and were taking physicals that I have raised my win total for the Ravens by 1 game. It's that time of year. Quote
Tornado700 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 They are better than 16. They just love those Steelers though, don't they? Quote
Tornado700 Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 How are they better?They are a top 5 or 10 defense. That's how. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 They were #7 to end the season. Most of the season they were #1. So you think by being either another 2 spots better or 3 worse they will be a better than middle of the pack team? Quote

I happen to think the Ravens are going to be alot better on offense than you give them credit for. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 Not an expert but I can remember something for more than a few months. Quote
