tsylvester Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 How many yrs can injuries be an excuse?Exactly, they have been the excuse for the past five years... Quote
Tornado700 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 But it's legit if they truly have injuries, as had this team for quite a few years. Our O-line is disicipated. Our tight ends- gone. DB's lost DE;s gone for the season. In essence, we were playing not our best football players. Instead, the guys behind them on the bench. And I'm not complaining, they almost got us there. But these injured guys were some good football players. You're not going to get a winning team when so many are standing on crutches. So, regardless, it is an excuse. I have no freaki'n idea why we are racking up so many IR's. Just freak accidents perhaps. I don't have the answer to that question either. But I do know this. Get them healthy and keep them that way and we're back in those playoffs again. It's a very simple formula- stay healthy. Guys like Marshall Yanda, Alex Lewis, Jaylen- Hill, Jimmy Smith,, Reggie Porter,,Brent Urban, Bam Bradley, Kenny Dixon, Albert McClellan ,Tavon Young, and Crockett Gilmore to name a few. That's more than a few good players. Quote
krf82 Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 To that end, injuries are a problem for this team, as much or more than all in the NFL. I think that we had the 2nd most on IR. The line play in the second half of games appears to wear down sooner and longer than most teams.Defensive substitutions are not solving the problem. It is part of what blows a late-game lead. Conditioning is lapse and is part of coaching responsibilities. Noticed that a small bit of conditioning, on-field before games, began half-way through the season. They need more pre-season conditioning. Quote
Tornado700 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Agree with that. Something has to change there. This has to be more than coincidence. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Then maybe the coaching staff needs to work to stop getting them injuries. Bring in a qualified conditioning coach. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Maybe they should trade for Brady's trainer..... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I have heard what Brady does to stay healthy. He eats the most boring meals and does a ton of flexibility stuff to stay malleable. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 This tells me Chuck wouldn't come bc Harbs is a lame duck. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Should be interesting to see how aggressive he is and what types of players he likes.... Quote
GrubberRaven Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 His one year as Denver's Coordinator was not good, if I remember Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 That is what ppl on FB said. I don't recall his time in Den. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 I dug a bit more into it...Von Miller hadn't been drafted and Dumervil was out all season. It wasn't that talented a team. Quote
krf82 Posted January 10, 2018 Author Posted January 10, 2018 Was Bam Bradley showing much b4 his injury? Can Skura play center? Quote
vmax Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 We did not see the Ravens Culture or the Ravens Way last season.Instead we were dished cold .... Quote
