tsylvester Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 2 years, offer sheet, pending some one else being released then he will fail a physical... $10.4 million. Ummmm Quote
tsylvester Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 Correction, another guy for the offensive coordinator to misuse. You know, the same guy who calls a 3 yard drag route on 3rd & 10, only to be tackled for a loss. The same guy who schemes 3 routes to be on the same side of the field 2 yards a part... The same guy who doesn't plan to have a back chip on a defensive end when said defender is eating up a right or left tackle, so the deep out or deep crossing route does not have time to develop.... papasmurfbell Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 An issue is Joe checks down so fast that that he has to put his progressions together so Joe will hit as many of them as possible. Quote
oldno82 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 How fast does Joe check down compared to other quarterbacks in the league? Any stats on this? Quote
oldno82 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 ...what really does concern me is that every one of the 3 guys we signed are coming off sub-par years. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 He is like 1 read and it is the check down. Quote
OneManCypher Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 It doesn’t matter who the OC is, including Kubiak , Joe ia just a bad Qb now. He use to be average . He had some good games some not so good games and some bad games, now is just has bad games and average games. The Kubiak year was average but because he is so bad now you jockriders look back on that year like he set the world on fire. The problem is always the OCno matter who we bring in here. NO. The problem is the QB and luckily this is the last year we have to put up with it. Quote
tsylvester Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Saints not matching it, $7 mil over 2 years, $5 mil in bonuses.... Quote
oldno82 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 I don't mind the move as long as they realize they have to draft 2 WR's and a TE in the draft. Wondering what round they'll take a QB in... This is it: Ozzie's last chance to build an offense that consists of more than just receivers who are coming off down years.. Quote
vmax Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 The receivers room is taking on a new look. If these guys have the character and the chemistry and a good work ethic then this could be huge.Just catch the damn ball!!!!That would be so nice to see. Quote
oldno82 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 I'll add one more thing this group of receivers has to do: stay healthy, dammit! Quote

Max, the WR corps is definitely taking on a new look. Catch the ball; run after catch; YAC ? Hmmmm Quote
papasmurfbell Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Run after the catch is allot Joe. I have never seen him produce that routinely. Quote

Hmmmm If Snead can stay healthy he might give us an increase in YAC when Joe has to check down. It seems to me that many other teams check down as often as we do, it’s just that they have these quicker receivers to turn short yardage into first downs, Quote
