If we all start calling for Jackson to play this season then remember this....

Weddle praised Griffin, who last played in 2016, for his ability to make “some unbelievable throws” in a new system. With Jackson, the No. 32 overall pick in the NFL draft and 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, he was more effusive in his praise but also more conscious of his limitations.

“Lamar is just a talent," he said. “He can do things that not many guys can do, getting out of the pocket and rolling. When he gets in the open field, he's just a special runner.

“But it's going to take some time for him in the pocket and throwing and doing the things necessary to be an effective quarterback in this league, and that's just reality. But he's got a live arm. He can zing it in there. He's just going to take some time.”...http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-ravens-joe-flacco-lamar-jackson-weddle-20180613-story.html

Weddle is being PC. He couldn't come out and say that Jackson isn't an NFL caliber QB so he calls him "a talent".

I feel strongly that Jackson needs a year as a back up so he can properly develop. With proper coaching and scheme, he could be electrifying. He could be scary for defenses and DC's.

As for this year......let him get comfortable with the offense and game speed.

I can't wait to see him in the pre season games. I think he'll tear it up and light us up. We haven't had this type of QB or caliber of athlete under center. Taylor was the closest. They share the same strengths and weaknesses.

It has already begun, with most stories having some semblance like; Joe is still the starter. Espn even ran with the non-story of Jackson being used at different positions...

One or two bad games, the boo birds will be out and chants for Jackson will ensue...

That’s why they need to carry 3 quarterbacks this season. We’ll also watch Griffith in these preseason games to see if he can really play or not.

Again....it's way too early to tell if he'll be a solid starting NFL QB, but his teammates love him....

“I’ve seen his ability to talk our language and verbiage, and throwing mechanics have improved,” Urban said. “We’re heading in the right direction. There’s much much to improve.”,,,,,“He’s doing a good job of learning, but he does a really good job of just naturally hanging in there and having his eyes down the field and finding the open guy,” Flacco said. “He’s gradually getting better at speeding everything up, but he doesn’t make mistakes.”....

On Tuesday, wide receiver Chris Moore expressed his “awe” of the young quarterback and Thursday, Willie Snead IV called him a “crazy athlete.”

“Once he gets it, you’ll see something special,” he said....http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-ravens-notes-lamar-jackson-joe-flacco-third-day-mandatory-minicamp-20180614-story.html

My eyes will be glued on him every preseason game.

And that's not too far off! :gorave:

You're the anti Weddle...I think you set a quota on yourself to say 1-3 positive things a month, tops...otherwise you pick things apart.

They are the team hear so I watch their moves.

As much as you're on the internet, maybe you could find a new team to raise your sad little ego to new heights...
