papasmurfbell Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 The OL run blocks much better in this situation. I would not change now. Quote
vmax Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 The best throw was to Brown even though that was called back. He dropped it in perfectly. He's got a deep ball arm. 2 games and I can see him developing from one game to the next and figuring it out. He ran out of bounds to avoid getting hit when he could have got more yards going for the collision. There's a lot more for him to get down like timing passes. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 I don't see why Joe should play again other than injury. The offense is far more dynamic without him. The D looks more energized. Quote
vmax Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 The offense only scored 20 points and that won't get you far in the NFL. Not with the Falcons, Chiefs and Chargers coming up.They need Joe. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 And Joe was doing what after teams adjusted? Nothing. At least there is arunning game now to keep teams honest. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 Higher yds and more points. The offense works better with Lamar. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 That points per game with Lamar is not accurate. 14 points yesterday came from ST/D, so actually it's more like 24 per game, which is still higher, but by 4 tenths... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 Remember how the pts that the Giants scored on the KR in the SB were held against the D? The offense alwasy gets credit for team points just like the D gets critiqued for points against the team. Also the D is playing better with this offense. Probably bc there is a run game and better TOP. Quote
varaven45 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Agreed with the above. Wondering, however, how Joe plays with a renewed running attack - Edwards, Montgomery, Buck ?Is the overall offense, including running attack, just responding better to Lamar ? The team's QB choice for the Atlanta game is certainly intriguing. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 I think it is Lamar. The OL began blocking much better with him in. I am not sure why the difference but I do see it. Quote
OneManCypher Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Papa you have to understand , there is an element that will never like Lamar as there starting QB. The running game is better because of the threat of Lamar, Joe will not get the same running game because the defense does not have to account for him running. Joe has bummed it up for 4 of the last 5 years and we have an element saying we want Joe , after our rookie first round QB has gone 2-0 in first two starts, simply unbelievable. Get use to it, no matter what this kid does there will be an element that will hate on him because he is black. These haters were going to hate regardless, If we had lost these last two games, the haters would be saying , look Lamar can’t even beat the Bengals or the Raiders at home, we need Joe. Btw, Marvin Lewis and the bengals has Joes number, we would have lost that game to the bengals if Joe had played. But since we won , now the haters have to try and pick apart his game, I won’t give these haters my time, I have more important things to do than to try to convince a racist not to be racist. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 " our rookie first round QB has gone 2-0 in first two starts, simply unbelievable" That happened in 2008 too... Quote
OneManCypher Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 No it’s simply unbelievable that you people are calling for Joe when our rookie first round QB has gone 2-0. See what I’m saying papa Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 Like I said on the other thread I don't see the debate here. Quote
