Anything can happen in the NFL but the most likely scenaro for the Ravens to make the playoffs is to win their final 2 games.

They'll need more than 20 points Saturday night.

 

 

 

Winning the division is a more clear cut path: win out and hope the Steelers lose to the Saints in New Orleans.

The Ravens could also be eliminated from playoff contention next week if they lose and the Colts, the Titans and the Steelers all win. Yes.

They came close with the Saints and Chiefs. They held the #1 offense to 156 yards passing Sunday.

The way I see it is the Chargers last played on Thursday night, so all those extra days off will cause them to forget how to play football.

 

 

6. Baltimore Ravens (8-6)

The Dolphins' loss in Minnesota narrowed the race for the No. 6 spot a bit. The Ravens are now fending off two other 8-6 teams -- the Colts and Titans -- and hold the tiebreaker among that trio. But look out. While the Ravens have a cross-country trip ahead to play the Chargers in Week 16, the Colts will host the 5-9 Giants and the Titans will host the 7-7 Redskins. Brownies D has some play makers, Miles Garret, Jabrille Peppers.

 

A couple of years back before the 2017 draft, I was clamoring for the ravens to draft Peppers.

You and a few others dissed me and said he was overrated.

 

We got Bobby Humphrey - who is dang good - but Peppers looks like a huge playmaker.

Time will tell. Too bad we dont have both !!!!

 

Meanwhile, Browns - Ravens + Baker vs Lamar could be a fun rival.

The Browns are a franchise definitely on the way up. The Bengals on the way down. The Ravens are treading water

Same story, different year...hate saying it.

Im not so sure. A lot of collapses with Flacco under center but this is a different team with Lamar and the dominant run game. There arent as many 3 and outs and with the exception of KC when they get the lead they are better able to close out teams. The D was already doing a better job closing out teams with Wink and his aggressive style has fit perfectly with the new ball control offense.

 

I dont know if we beat the chargers but I think they play them as tough as KC and they nearly beat them.

FPI playoff chances: 45.5 percent

The Ravens' win over the Chargers raises the urgency for Pittsburgh. If the Steelers lose one of their final two games, and the Ravens win at home in Week 17, they'll fall out of the AFC North lead. With a 9-6-1 record, they'll have to hope that there are no 10-6 teams to beat them out for sixth seed. Pit has Cincy weak 17 which I see as a W. Indy plays NYG today which I also see as a W. Indy and Ten play weak 17 and they will both have tied records then and be waiting for an L from bmore. So don't pull what they did against the Browns earlier this season or they are out.
